Laurie is absolutely amazing! She watched several of my guinea pigs for me while I was on work trips. She took really good care of them and you could tell how much she loves animals. I can't recommend Laurie's pet sitting (PetsitterGirl) highly enough! I first met Laurie in 2012 when I had two kittens that needed pet sitting. I was traveling for work quite a bit at that time. One of my goals for my cats was that they should be as well adjusted, outgoing, confident and social as they could be. I feel like Laurie has always understood this and I really appreciate that. Laurie has always gone above and beyond to make sure that my cats have fun, eat their food and get the attention they need. When I get home after Laurie has been cat sitting, my cats are excited to see me but they are calm and not stressed. When my cats were younger, one of them broke his leg and needed knee surgery. (I guess he was a little too confident!) Laurie ensured he still received petting and played within his abilities even though he had to be confined to a large crate to recuperation. This past fall I had my refrigerator replaced. On one of Laurie's visits she arrived to find a hose from behind the refrigerator spewing water at full force! Laurie texted/emailed me right away. Even though I was on a plane and couldn't immediately respond, she took action. By the time my flight landed, the water had been turned off, the water had been mopped and toweled up and the situation was as resolved as it could get until I reached home. I was extremely grateful as we had also just had a new wood floor installed. The water damage could have been very costly. I also want to add a summary of the experience my parents have had. They have an elderly kitty (17 years) who is receiving fluids 3 times per week. When we all went on vacation together, Laurie made sure that my parents' senior cat made it to his vet to get fluids. read more

This review is for Jennifer, who works under Laurie. We called Laurie over a year ago asking if she could watch our boys (two giant black cats). Unfortunately, she was unavailable, but she referred us to Jennifer. We've been so happy with Jennifer that we've used her services for over a year now. We travel quite a lot. Our cats are not the normal "aloof" cats who won't come out when someone comes to the door... they are incredibly social and love people, so it used to be hard for us to leave them since they would be quite angry with us when we got back. Now when we leave, they are absolutely fine, no angry looks or ignoring us for a few hours when we come home... no bad behavior... nothing. They are simply happy to see us. We receive almost daily pictures and emails from Jennifer of our boys and an update on how they are doing. She brings in the mail, waters the plants and cleans up any kitty messes (vomit, hairballs) they leave for her. She even administers medication to our cats when necessary (in the past that's not always been easy, but she did it!) She's great! She is completely trustworthy. At this point she pretty much has a key to our home all the time (like I said, we travel a lot, so it's just easier for her to just keep a key). Laurie is great, reliable and her rates are very reasonable. Our dogs need medication daily and she handles that without extra charges or issues. She is great about texting to give us quick updates the first day or two when we are away so we know our animals are doing fine. She was great with our cat too. Laurie has always provided excellent care for our Boston Terriers but today she outdid herself. Poor little Razzle had experienced some lower intestinal distress in his crate and after Laurie was sure he was OK she cleaned up dog, crate and everything to make sure he had as comfortable an afternoon as possible until I got home from work. Laurie is the best pet sitter ever! I had just found out that I was leaving to San Diego in three days and I had to find a pet sitter for my two bunnies. I emailed her at night and she responded to my email right away, and told me she was willing to take care of my bunnies and that I could drop them off on Wednesday or Thursday! I am so lucky I found her! I felt so comfortable giving my rabbits to her! She did a very good job of taking care of my bunnies. She also sent me updates of the rabbits and how they were doing. They looked very happy and it made me very happy. I could tell my bunnies missed Laurie when I picked them up ! When I picked them up, Laurie had added essentials to their cage. She added a hay holder and attached it to the side of their cage so that their food doesn't get contaminated which was a very smart idea that I did not think of. She also added a water bottle and my bunnies had learned how to drink water from it. She did not charge me for the extra things that she had provided me. She is such a passionate pet sitter and really cares for animals!! Laurie is very trustworthy and nice. She is very accommodating and helpful. She is really easy to work with and very understanding. The price she charges is also very reasonable! Also after I picked them up she gave me tips to help take care of my bunnies better. I bought rabbits in June so I am a recent rabbit owner. She sent me an email about products that I can buy to make my rabbits happier like having a litter box and having a bigger cage so that my rabbits could have more space. She also sent me the link to the items in the email and it was so extremely thoughtful of her to! She definitely cares about animals and will do anything to make them happier! I could tell my rabbits missed Laurie when I brought them home. They were so happy with Laurie! I plan for her to pet sit them again in the future !! I highly recommend Laurie ! While we were traveling, Jennifer provided us with timely updates via email and text. She stayed with our cat for a full hour, really taking care of him! Jennifer checked our mail, looked after our home (the neighbors thought they were clever and used our parking space, which we had cleared for Jennifer), and kept everything neat and tidy. She even went to the pet store, no strings attached, to get him some treats, which he absolutely LOVES. Our past petsitter would leave trash on our couch and only stay for 30 minutes a day. Laurie took care of our cats while we were away for the holidays, and we were so happy we had her looking after them. Not only does she have great rates, she also sent pictures every time she visited and made sure to check for things like hairballs on the floor. She also came on the holidays for no extra charge, and really seemed to understand our cats' personalities (they loved her!) I always hate leaving our cats when we travel, but I felt so much better knowing that they were in good hands and in their own home where they felt comfortable. Amazing pet sitter! Laurie went above and beyond while watching our cat! We were gone for several weeks for our honeymoon, and our cat---who knows we will be gone when we pack our suitcases---was stressed when we first left. Laurie is amazing! I have two cats, and I frequently go on trips. Laurie is there for me at a moments notice, and always takes good care of them. A couple of times I have gone to urgent care, and contacted her from there to take care of the cats. She never complains that she needs more notice, always comes through with a smile, and seems happy to help. Occasionally she is not available herself, but she makes sure that one of her coworkers is available. My cats are not particularly friendly for some reason, but Laurie always sends pictures when she can get them. Her price is incredibly reasonable. Laurie is wonderful! She has been taking care of our two cats during our vacations for the past four years and it is such a blessing to know they are safe and loved while we're away. And she has to clean numerous spots with each visit. Sorry, Laurie! I had one pet sitter once before her that did a terrible job of cleaning it up and I had to work hard to get out the puke stains in the carpet that had been there for days. Laurie is absolutely amazing and we can't be happier to have her as a pet sitter. Laurie has been taking care of our pets for several years now and we were always very happy, but this summer she went above and beyond. One of our cats didn't come home the day before we went on vacation and the other one got sick. Laurie took care of everything for us and kept us up to date daily so that we wouldn't worry too much. She went to the vet with our sick cat, administered the medication, created a lost cat posting on NextDoor, visited different shelters and finally brought the lost cat back home after he was found. She even brought a little radio for the sick cat while he was alone, so that he would feel better and started coming twice a day instead of once. You can tell that Laurie really cares about the animals and does everything to make them feel better while you are gone. I'd give her six starts if possible! read more
