We have two Jack Russell's Lilo and Stitch who are almost 7. They have been going to Canine Corral for almost 5 years now. Our girl can be a handful but they provided some accommodations for her so that she can be part of group and enjoy her time there. They LOVE going and they take great care of our dogs!

Canine Corral is an absolutely phenomenal place! We discovered it 2 years ago when adopting a puppy, and brought her here for the weekend training classes with Dawna. I was amazed at how knowledgeable, skilled, and helpful Dawna was during each class, and gained a lot from those experiences. I was happy to see that they also do daycare and boarding. We have taken our dog a few times to the daycare and boarding, and have always had an excellent experience. Our dog, who is normally shy, wags her tail with excitement when we bring here here and she sees the workers. The workers greet her by name, truly care about her, and have made every experience positive. When we pick her up and ask how she did, they are happy to provide updates. Overall, I highly recommend Canine Corral for their daycare/boarding services and their Happy Tails to You training! Easily 5 stars!

As first-time dog owners, we brought our puppy to Happy Tails to You weekend trainings in 2021 and were extremely satisfied with the experience. The trainer (Dawna) was patient and super knowledgeable, helping us to feel much more confident in our ability to train our puppy. In the time since then, we have brought our dog to Canine Corral for boarding on several occasions and have always been impressed with the care and attention she has received. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and although our dog is shy, she is always happy to see them whenever we drop her off, which is a great sign! They greet her by name and it is evident that they care about her. Recently, Canine Corral implemented a new policy requiring dogs to attend daycare at least once a month in order to be eligible for boarding. We took our dog to daycare today and as always, she had a great time. She also had her nails trimmed here! Overall, we have been extremely happy with the services offered at Canine Corral and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of dog training or daycare/boarding services.

Four big paws up for the crew at Canine Corral! The process of evaluating a dog for boarding might be a bit costly and tedious, but i seriously couldn't imagine any other process to prepare for a long term care for a dog. I was thrilled that they wanted to make sure he was a good fit and a good boy. On top of their general process, our old man was disabled. Due to a spinal degeneration he no longer has use of his back legs and utilizes a wheel chair and sling to help get around. I'm so grateful it all worked out and allowed my husband and I to enjoy an international trip with no worries. My only criticism is the lack of outside space. Our boxer just wasn't used to using concrete to dispose of his waste so i think that threw him off. But i still absolutely feel that they deserve five stars.

Pretending that going to daycare is the worst thing that could ever happen

Our Tessa is a rescue with a history of abuse, so she can get very nervous and stressed around unfamiliar situations. However, she has a blast at Canine Corral! We did training here before we started using them for daycare/boarding, which really helped with both her familiarity with the location and the staff getting to know her ahead of time. She does gaslight us by acting sad and miserable when we drop her off, but we know it's an act: we love watching her on the webcams sucking up to the employees, getting lavished with attention, and romping around with her dog-friends. Leaving an emotionally fragile dog in someone else's care can feel nerve-wracking, but we know she's in the best hands with Canine Corral.

I volunteer with a rescue organization, Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Rescue, and can not say enough about the care, training, and services Dawna and staff have provided for so many of our rescues. They have provided daycare (and boarding when needed) to help get our rescues more socialized with other dogs and people. I, as a rescue representative, am confident in the care our dogs receive while at Canine Corral. I am presently representing a dog that has some issues and Canine Corral has been working with him on a once/weekly basis until he is adopted. They are respectful and understanding of his quirks and are in no rush to end his daycare. This dog is exhausted when picked up from his day at Canine Corral, and we are relieved to know that he is receiving the extra care and expertise to help him gain some confidence along the way in finding a new home.

Large ball of matted fur under both of her ears & hind legs. Very painful. Had to be brought to the groomer to loosen/cut it up.

The first year with my golden retriever, Luka, was extremely hard. He was a mouthy dog who had zero boundaries at home or outside. He would get excited or frustrated and grab/bite onto my shoes or clothes daily. Walking him became an impossible task because he was extremely dog-reactive, and he dragged me a couple of times while trying to chase another dog. Walking him also became a two-person job, with someone always on the lookout for other dogs so we could turn the other way. He also began to resource guard and snapped at my dad twice.. I had already spent thousands on another trainer and didn't have much success. I began to feel like this was just what life with Luka would be like forever. It got to the point where I felt scared of him, and the life I was giving him out of that fear wasn't fair to him. So I decided to try and get help one last time. I found Lori's page and after reading the reviews I became hopeful again. I took Luka in for an evaluation, and Lori recommended their board-and-train program. I can't thank Chelsea and Lori enough for everything they've done. I've learned so much about Luka, how to manage different situations, and how to better understand his behavior. We had training lessons throughout his board-and-train stay and afterward, because we are the ones who need most of the training! Chelsea did an amazing job with Luka. At home, Luka is unrecognizable in the best way. We can actually go on adventures outside without being terrified that we won't be able to handle him. Those who knew Luka before his stay and see him now always comment on how well he is doing. I cannot recommend Lori Hamilton's Dog training enough to anyone who feels like they've tried everything and is feeling discouraged. I am so thankful because it finally feels like Luka and I can start living life and enjoying everything around us.

He was an anxious, leash pulling, cat chasing, chewing, biting and jumping-- hiding inside an adorable shell. We started in Lori's group class, then did private one on one training with her and ultimately 4 weeks of board and train at her facility. She trained us and trained him and ultimately transformed life at home. Our 3 cats are now able to be in the same room as him. Our visitors no longer have him standing up on their chest in exuberant greeting. We can relax and have dinner without Ruben trying to eat our feet or running zoomies around the room. We can walk him without having our arms ripped out of our sockets. He is calm around other dogs. He is crate trained and easily goes to sleep at night. He has his own treadmill and works out twice a day, in addition to our daily walks. We been to Pack walks with Lori and 15 other dogs, all walking obediently through the Pruneyard shopping center. The dogs get to work on socialization and good manners on these field trips. Lori came to our house and we staged a meal with a visitor. It really helped us learn how to keep him on his best behavior during meal time with a guest!!! Our first year with Ruben was really tough, he was not the mellow golden retriever we anticipated. Lori's teaching changed everything. She provided the methods and the tools to help us have the best outcome and a relaxed home life with our beautiful dog; more than we ever expected!!!

During our initial visit, she was very professional and helpful, and the facility seemed well run. We ultimately chose a home-based daycare for our 6-month-old puppy and canceled well in advance. In October 2025, I paid a $855 deposit via Zelle to reserve boarding and requested a refund after canceling. After multiple follow-ups, I was told the refund would be processed. I was later informed that the refund had been sent to the wrong person and would be corrected, with a commitment that it would be completed by February 18, 2026. Unfortunately, I never received it, and there has been no resolution since. I've attempted to follow up via phone (calls are no longer being accepted), WhatsApp (messages are read but not responded to), and email, but have not received any response. At this point, I am still waiting on the refund and have had to pursue formal channels to resolve this. I hope this can be resolved promptly.

He had a scar atop his head and was very nervous around new people, which led to behavior like growling and snapping at times. His fear was only made worse by social distancing and not being around new people. Once Covid settled a bit we sought out a trainer for him. I'll never forget the first day Dawna came to the house. Our pup growled and was very displeased that this stranger was in his space, and worse, trying to interact with him. Dawna was not a bit deterred, which I was impressed by but I remained skeptical. Fast forward something like 2 weeks: Dawna interacted with him with ease on training days and he loved receiving love and pets from her. We couldn't believe it. Dawna taught us how to train him and he was able to meet all kinds of new people and doggy friends on our outings. We are forever grateful. We only had 2 years with him. Cancer.
