Our rabbit is very important to us so I set out to find the best possible pet sitter in the area for peace of mind, that was when I stumbled upon Furry Friends Pet sitting. We boarded our beloved senior rabbit (who is a very sassy bun) for 11 days as we had to leave for an overseas trip. Barbara is very great at communication from the first contact all throughout the duration of rabbit boarding. Questions are specific as in which veggies are most preferred, hay preference, vaccine and vet information. They also provided an enclosure with toys and hidey spots so all we had to do was drop our bun off in a carrier. She would send daily videos and photos along with detailed updates (like how she would lounge all day and snack on her hay and list the veggies she was fed). Barbara shows a lot of experience as she has a variety of veggies as well as regularly cleaning out the water bowl and tidying the enclosure. She would also spend time petting and changing up the toys and tunnels as well. Receiving texts on our bun was something I looked forward to during our trip as I would see how relaxed and comfortable she was! Desperate to get my pups more calm and my neighbors more sleep, I contacted Michelle to see if she could come by to walk my babies each day until I came back, which was a huge ask since she didn't meet my dogs or meet me! However, she was so flexible and made it happen. I have one pup that Is SOOO scared of people and won't walk even when other people try to walk her so I was nervous she wasn't gonna walk (or that she would bite Michelle for trying to put on her harness). But Michelle was so professional and spent extra time calming them to get them out on their walk. By the second day, my doggies knew Michelle and allowed her to walk them. On top of that, I kinda messed up a couple times with scheduling and Michelle was really patient and understanding with me . Sure, it's fun to take the dog to the park or the beach, have a nice stroll through the neighborhood, etc. But, somehow, there was never enough time to clean the back yard. And it got nasty. Really, really nasty. Turns out, Andrew can do some rather amazing things to a poop warzone. In addition to the basic scoop-away, he has some excellent deodorizing and cleaning products. Good enough to get the yard to BBQ shape when we needed it. We used his service for five years, until we moved up to the city last year. Best money I spent each month. No question. There's something to knowing that I can leave on a business trip (or just be lazy) and the neighbors won't complain to the landlord. And Andrew really is much more efficient at the cleanup, anyway. He's got a solid process. Plus he is exceptionally reliable. Luckily, we eventually found a similar gentleman in SF, because it's really unpleasant to have to do this work yourself. Really messy.
