Watching Lucky Buddies grow has been such a joy, but what amazes me most is that their heart has never changed. Even as they've expanded, every dog is still treated like family. Teddy has been loved, cared for, and celebrated every step of the way, and there isn't a single person on the Lucky Buddies team that I wouldn't trust with him. They've truly become part of our village. From daycare and baths to transportation, check-ins, and walks, they've made life so much easier over the years. But beyond the services, it's the peace of mind that means the most. I never have to wonder if Teddy is safe, loved, or happy--I know he is. As I prepare to move away, one of the hardest things to leave behind is Lucky Buddies. I honestly don't know how I'll ever find another place like them. They've set the standard for what exceptional dog care looks like, and I will forever be grateful for the love they've poured into Teddy over the past six years. Thank you, Yesi, and the entire Lucky Buddies team, for loving Teddy as if he were your own. We used this facility…read morefor years, but our last two experiences were bad enough that I would never leave my cat here again. The cat boarding area itself has deteriorated significantly. On our recent visits, the room was dirty, visibly soiled, and smelled very unpleasant. For a facility that is supposed to house cats for extended periods, I found the condition of the space unacceptable. More importantly, during my baby's most recent stay, he was severely distressed while being handled by staff. When they attempted to put him into his carrier/bag, he defecated on himself and was returned to us covered in feces and visibly shaking. This was incredibly upsetting to witness. Lucky Buddies later apologized and acknowledged that he had been mishandled by their staff. What followed was equally disappointing. Despite repeatedly following up, I did not receive the updates or communication I expected regarding what had happened. While they apologized, there was no meaningful rectification, no clear explanation of what would change, and nothing that gave me confidence that the same thing would not happen to another cat. Poofy is still recovering from what was clearly a very stressful experience. We have noticed behavioral changes since the incident, particularly increased fear around handling outside the home. And now, after acknowledging what happened and apologizing for it, Lucky Buddies has deactivated my account. I find that response extremely troubling. Rather than meaningfully addressing a longtime customer's concern after admitting that their staff mishandled an animal in their care, their apparent response has been to remove the customer. Cats are not small dogs. They require calm environments, clean spaces, patient handling, and staff who understand feline fear and stress. Based on the condition of the cat room during our last visits, the lack of communication despite follow-ups, the handling of Poofy, and the way the complaint was dealt with afterward, I would not recommend Lucky Buddies for cats. We trusted this facility for years. Unfortunately, the standard of care we experienced during our last two visits was completely different from what we had come to expect. I genuinely wish we had stopped using them sooner.

I can not say enough good things about Richelle and the care she took of my two fur babies…read more For the first time, one of my cats decided to go on a hunger strike while my husband and I were away on vacation (our first big trip in several years thanks to COVID) and I was very worried about her. Richelle pulled out all the stops and was able to coax my distraught kitty back onto a regular eating cycle. I appreciated the instant rapport she was able to establish with my shy, wild finicky girl during the initial home visit, her thoroughness in evaluating what was needed to care for my babies and our home (down to asking about the garbage pick-up schedule in our neighborhood and taking the bins out to the curb and making sure the geraniums were watered) and the great communication and regular updates and photos she sent while we were away. From what I've read in the other reviews, Richelle is great with dogs too but I think getting on the same wave length with cats is its own special talent - I highly recommend Richelle to anyone who might be looking for the Mary Poppins of cat sitters.

Our rabbit is very important to us so I set out to find the best possible pet sitter in the area for peace of mind, that was when I stumbled upon Furry Friends Pet sitting. We boarded our beloved senior rabbit (who is a very sassy bun) for 11 days as we had to leave for an overseas trip. Barbara is very great at communication from the first contact all throughout the duration of rabbit boarding. Questions are specific as in which veggies are most preferred, hay preference, vaccine and vet information. They also provided an enclosure with toys and hidey spots so all we had to do was drop our bun off in a carrier. She would send daily videos and photos along with detailed updates (like how she would lounge all day and snack on her hay and list the veggies she was fed). Barbara shows a lot of experience as she has a variety of veggies as well as regularly cleaning out the water bowl and tidying the enclosure. She would also spend time petting and changing up the toys and tunnels as well. Receiving texts on our bun was something I looked forward to during our trip as I would see how relaxed and comfortable she was! We honestly can't believe the difference we've seen in Sienna since working with Lori and her team…read more We've put a tremendous amount of time, money and effort into training Sienna, since she was a puppy. From basic and advanced obedience to agility and calm down classes, with multiple trainers and programs, we tried just about everything. While those programs helped build a good foundation, none really addressed her reactivity. We were often told it was typical Border Collie behavior, but as she got older, it progressively worsened and eventually turned into aggression. She reacted intensely to dogs, children, people, bikes, squirrels, and just about anything that moved. Once she became fixated, nothing seemed to get her attention back. After researching and consulting with several trainers throughout the Bay Area, we found Lori. Her 20+ years of experience with obedience and behavioral challenges really stood out. She was knowledgeable, honest, and direct from our first consultation. We were hesitant about a board-and-train program and initially had reservations about balanced training methods, but decided to trust her experience. We're so glad we did! Throughout the program, Lori shared videos of Sienna's progress. We sincerely appreciated each of the videos. Each time, we were amazed at how much she had improved.  Lori's facility is also professionally maintained, clean, spacious and has the right equipment setup, along with the proper 24/7 supervision. They even have shade canopies throughout! Her team truly cares for the dogs and clients.  One thing we really appreciate about Lori is that she doesn't sugarcoat things. She's straightforward, direct and will tell you what you need to hear, even when it means recognizing mistakes in your own training habits. You must be coachable to mesh well with her program and be the best you can for your pup. We learned that some of the methods we'd previously been taught were actually contributing to Sienna's reactivity. Lori helped us understand how to communicate with Sienna differently, and it made a tremendous difference. Sienna also absolutely loves Lori and her team, which means a lot to us. After the board & train program we brought home a noticeably calmer, happier, and more confident dog. During a follow-up session, Lori took us into real-world situations around playgrounds, children, and basketball courts, all things that previously would have triggered Sienna. We couldn't believe how well she handled them. We recently took Sienna to Los Gatos Creek Trail, and she walked calmly beside us, passing people, children, and cyclists without pulling, barking, lunging, or showing aggression. Not a single reaction to bikes passing right alongside us! For anyone who knew Sienna before, that's an incredible accomplishment. We know there's still work ahead and that consistency is important, but Lori and her team have given us the tools and confidence to continue helping Sienna succeed. through her program, we've seen more progress than we thought possible. We are at a point we can trust Sienna walk with us off leash in a controlled setting, with the right tools and supervision, but understanding this will still take heavy work. We're incredibly grateful to Lori and her ENTIRE team and would absolutely recommend her to anyone struggling with serious reactivity or behavioral challenges. The first year with my golden retriever, Luka, was extremely hard. He was a mouthy dog who had zero boundaries at home or outside. He would get excited or frustrated and grab/bite onto my shoes or clothes daily. Walking him became an impossible task because he was extremely dog-reactive, and he dragged me a couple of times while trying to chase another dog. Walking him also became a two-person job, with someone always on the lookout for other dogs so we could turn the other way. He also began to resource guard and snapped at my dad twice.. I had already spent thousands on another trainer and didn't have much success. I began to feel like this was just what life with Luka would be like forever. It got to the point where I felt scared of him, and the life I was giving him out of that fear wasn't fair to him. So I decided to try and get help one last time. I found Lori's page and after reading the reviews I became hopeful again. I took Luka in for an evaluation, and Lori recommended their board-and-train program. I can't thank Chelsea and Lori enough for everything they've done. I've learned so much about Luka, how to manage different situations, and how to better understand his behavior. We had training lessons throughout his board-and-train stay and afterward, because we are the ones who need most of the training! Chelsea did an amazing job with Luka. At home, Luka is unrecognizable in the best way. We can actually go on adventures outside without being terrified that we won't be able to handle him. Those who knew Luka before his stay and see him now always comment on how well he is doing. Their nails had grown so long, and I would rather have a professional trim them since I'm so scared to make a mistake. I went with a full grooming for them, where she shampooed, trimmed nails and teeth, cleaned their ears, and blow dried their fur. They looked amazing, and she was very gentle and loving with them. The best part for us was that she came to our home, so we didn't have to cage them and drive them somewhere, and they could stay in the comfort of their home.
