Excellent service, delicious food. A gem in this quaint town. Meatloaf was off the charts good. Greens were the best!

Let me start by saying Megan was a wonderful hostess. We sat on the patio with our two dogs, and…read moreshe immediately brought them bowls of water. She was also very attentive, and recommended the wonderful French toast I had. Speaking of that, the banana bread French toast is nothing short of amazing. The cinnamon glaze and pecans accentuated the wonderful banana bread. I would order it again in a heartbeat. My wife and son also enjoyed their meals. He got the regular French Toast and she got the breakfast with pancakes. One important note: the "small" pancakes are larger than most places large pancakes. My wife said they were very good and very filling. The fried cheese curds were great, with a great pull. It was a wonderful meal in a nice patio setting, and the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely come back anytime we are in the area.

Lunch is served after 10:00 p.m. We ordered the cowboy eggs benedict and the large biscuit and gravy with scrambled eggs. It all came out hot and fresh. Given the fact that we were starving. We ate every last bit. If it had been kind of a normal day for us, we would have had food left over, the plates were so large. We didn't try the coffee, but everybody seemed to be drinking it up around us. We really enjoyed our breakfast.

We were looking for a place with air conditioning and cold drinks, and after checking Google reviews, this restaurant stood out because of its convenient location and positive ratings. Since it was a busy "Summer Springs Sunday," there was a wait for tables. However, as a party of two, we were able to find seats at the bar right away. I enjoyed a Snow Capped Cider, while my son ordered a Lemonade Sour. Both drinks were refreshing after spending time outdoors. For food, I ordered the Hatch Brat with fries. The brat was flavorful, but it had more cheese than I would have preferred, and the fries seemed undercooked. My son chose the Nashville Hot Honey Chicken sandwich. He described it as average, and unfortunately, his fries were also undercooked. Our server and bartender, Josephine P., was friendly and efficient throughout our visit. The restaurant offers both indoor and patio seating. Guests should note that several Patio rules are posted near the entrance, and a no-public-restroom policy. The menu is fairly vast , with a solid selection of local beers available. There is also a 2% fee for credit card transactions. The location is convenient, situated right near the Manitou Bathhouse. While our meal was somewhat mixed, the service, atmosphere, and beverage selection were positives. If I return, I would be interested in trying a different menu item. Overall, this was a pleasant stop during a hot summer day in Manitou Springs. The cool indoor atmosphere, quality drinks, excellent service from Josephine, and convenient location made for an enjoyable experience. Although the food did not completely meet our expectations, there were enough positives that I would consider returning and exploring more of the menu in the future.

3 stars. Stopped in…read morearound 6:00 on a Tuesday evening. We were really craving breakfast food and drinks, and this place met all the criteria. The restaurant itself is in an older building, but there's a ton of seating up front and even more in the back -- it's pretty large once you walk through and see how big it is, so getting a table shouldn't be an issue. There's also reserved parking behind the building, so if you don't see anything on the street, head around back. Service was fast and friendly, and our waiter did a great job. French toast -- my wife's pick. She said it was solid -- probably not the best she's ever had, but good. Pancakes -- came out hot, fluffy, fresh, and very large. Probably eight or nine inches in diameter. Two eggs over hash (+ country gravy) -- super good. I'd recommend adding the gravy to your hash, or getting it on the side so you can add a little at a time -- it's pretty heavy and dense, and there was enough of it that I had to sift through to get to my hash and eggs. Heads up: I underestimated how large their plates are. Once all the food came out, it was clear we weren't finishing it. Coffee drinks -- the biggest letdown of the evening. My wife got her regular cappuccino and couldn't even finish it. I ordered an iced coffee drink with whiskey and Kahlúa in it, and it just wasn't good -- I don't know what the balance was supposed to be, but I'd 100% not order it again. They have a lot of alcoholic coffee drinks on the menu and I sifted through them thinking this one looked like the best of the bunch. Would not recommend it. The other thing was karaoke night. I enjoy karaoke, but I wasn't expecting it -- it wasn't going when we sat down and started up about thirty minutes later, and we were fairly close to the singers. It was loud, and karaoke talent is always hit or miss. This was mostly a miss. Not what we were in the mood for at that moment. Pro tip: Come for the breakfast, skip the coffee drinks -- and know that a weeknight evening might land you in the middle of karaoke. In general, this is a great place to go for breakfast, and I'd highly recommend it for that. I'd return if I wanted a nice breakfast meal, morning or evening.

First off, the interior is really fun and interesting. I sat at the bar. The selection of small batch locally made beer was impressive. I ended up getting an orange blossom beer that was suggested by the bartender. So good!! I wasn't very hungry so they let me order the child's plate and I got brisket. The server suggested I try the red beans and rice. I was a little skeptical because I've spent a lot of time in New Orleans, and had some of the best. I was so impressed, I almost wished that I had just ordered a bowl of beans and rice. The brisket was really tender as well. Very friendly service and food appeared in minutes after I ordered. The smell of smoked meat hit me the second I stepped inside, and I knew I was in for a good time. I grabbed a seat on the patio, where string lights twinkled and a local band was warming up. The brisket came out tender with a perfect bark, and the pulled pork melted like it had something to prove. The burnt ends were the real show-off, though--crispy, smoky little bites of joy. Even the sides had personality, especially the spicy slaw that snuck up on me. Service was friendly and easygoing, like everyone there was happy just to be surrounded by barbecue and good vibes. Parking was a little tight, and there was a short wait, but between the music and the beer list, I didn't mind a bit. It wasn't flawless, but it was flavorful, fun, and full of character--just the kind of place that makes you want to kick back, loosen your belt, and stay a while. Solid four stars and a full stomach to prove it.
