Sadly, had she returned our calls after our event ended, or at any point in the next 48 hours, and had she been willing to discuss the situation and presumable at least apologize, we wouldn't be posting now. Nor would we now be in the process of advising all our friends and colleagues not to use her company. Instead, she showed up unannounced outside our house to pick up the service dishes 2 days later and seemed surprised to run into us. She was rude and unapologetic and made it clear that "you ate all the food so there's nothing I am going to do to compensate you." Wow. Here's the deal. We ordered a couple thousand dollars worth of food for a 3pm semi-formal wedding shower for 32 people. When the delivery of the food was complete at 2:50 pm, we noticed that all of the "hot" items except the chicken were cold. Not lukewarm, cold. The hot artichoke/cheese dip was actually so cold that it was solid. We expressed our concern about the food and were told by the delivery guy that it would come up to temperature in a little while once he lit the small burners. He then left. But not until after he tracked mud into our house and on our off-white area rug!! He clearly had no idea what he was doing and is not qualified for his position. Because of Marijo's poor planning and his incompetence, the guests were not able to eat the meal when we planned it because as we began to serve, they noted that the food was cold. Embarrassed, we had to take everything and put it in the oven for 30 minutes at 400 to bring it up to temperature. Please beware! This woman is not nice and clearly is unwilling to admit a mistake. She doesn't care because she gets paid in cash before the event! (IRS aware??) Not the way to run a small business and not someone we will ever use again.

The briskets practically disintegrated as soon as I put my fingers on them. It comes with a side of horseradish sauce which paired perfectly. The ribs were fall off the bone and dry rub (I believe) which I prefer. And my favorite - and sometimes hard-to-find - the smoked turkey was absolute perfection. Not over or under powering. Just the right amount of smoky flavor. I didn't need to add sauce to any of the meats to enjoy them. The onion rings were perfectly fried - crunchy with thick cuts of onion. While my son and I were split on the Mac n cheese (which was definitely good anyway you look at it), my son liked it more than I did. The best side IMO is their baked beans. It was acidic and less sweet in a good way and tasted like no other BBs I've had. I'm not sure I'll have another reason to be up in Binghampton again, but I will so be going here again if I ever do.
