I ordered a boudin ball (amazing!) and a fish platter with both blackened and fried seafood. It was all amazingly delicious. The portions were large, and the interior is lively. A few notes that I wrote down for myself: I don't get the Mexican butter. It's tasty, but beyond the butter flavor I can't really tell you what makes it "Mexican." It's also quite loud in the place, which can make it hard to chat with your company. None of this is a negative though. I love coming here when I'm in town.

This is the local watering hole. There is definitely no denying I'm back in SETX when I come here. Folks are friendly, the beer is cheap and ice cold and the dance floor is jammed packed as the local band plays Zydeco music. This place does get packed and smokey so beware if that's not your thing. As for the food, I definitely recommend the: Hogshead cheese, Boudain balls and it's one of the few places I have seen actually serve Chicken O's (straight out of my childhood!) Super friendly bartenders, James is great. P.S. Cash Only bar so make sure you bring it. But don't worry, if you forget, they have an ATM inside

All the juice came out of the styrofoam and into the bag. Luckily there wasn't a hole in the bag or it would have destroyed my leather seats. I would suggest they put it in boils bags. When I opened it, I did not have the corn and potatoes the special comes with. They put a bunch of onion in there that I feel is unnecessary. Maybe others eat onion in their boil but I don't. As afar as taste, it was bland. I got the spicy and was not spicy at all. Their crawfish is obviously made to order and they do not soak them. They peeled good but lacked and flavor or spice. Their sauce was good but the best thing about it was the sausage link. I would not buy crawfish from here again. Inside is a small are with some dining tables. Nothing to write about. I will try other items on the menu if I make it back over there. Also tried a daiquiri and as another review stated, not good at all. Was expecting something similar to New Orleans daiquiri but not even close! Don't waste your money just make your own at home.

This place said not disappoint! We came during happy hour, and the prices were even better than normal pricing! The staff was wonderful and super helpful. I ordered the boudin balls (6 for $3 on HH) and the BBQ Crabs (5 with two sides). My coworker ordered the sausage and chicken gumbo. We each had a glass of wine ($3 on HH). We each chose the salad bar as one of our sides and it had so many options! I probably could have filled up on it alone. The food came quickly and was amazing. The portions were huge and easily enough to share. This place is truly a hidden gem. I will definitely be back, if ever in the area again.
