We also had great service both times; the first time it was early lunch, and was not crowded, and the other was for wing night when the place was booming. We found the place to be very clean, and we loved the decor and music. On our first trip, we tried the chicken quesadilla, a fry basket, and the Meatloaf dinner. Everything was good, but the meatloaf stole the show. It was seriously one of my favorite meatloaf's i've ever had in a restaurant. We also tried a cheese wheel, and loved that, too. Our second trip was for wing night. We had to order another cheese wheel, and I tried a sampling of a bunch of different wings. I found that a lot were just different variations of their buffalo sauce. Another was just their ranch dressing with some pickled jalapenos cut up. I was not "super impressed" with the sauces I personally had, purely because they were all basically the same with minor changes....but, they were good. If you are a traditional buffalo sauce fan, then they are definitely for you. The wings were cooked perfectly, and I would definitely go back and try some other flavors. My family and I look forward to going back and trying something new.

We went on a Saturday night and they were out of chicken for chicken sandwiches, meatballs for the meatball hoagies and coleslaw. I was surprised there was no salad options. I did have the Italian hoagie and it was huge on Mancini bread buns. The prices are reasonable and the staff was nice enough. I'm still no sure. If I go back I will definitely provide a new review for the bar on 51.

If you're a pickle lover, this is an absolute must- pickles under the cheese and fried pickles on top... it's next-level good!! The Tavern's Mustard Chicken sandwich was also delicious, loaded with roasted red peppers, bacon, and lemon pepper aioli that really pulls it all together. And the onion rings? Cooked to perfection....crispy, not greasy, exactly how they should be! Service was friendly and fast, which made the whole experience even better. They had Penn Sarris Chocolate Peanut Butter beer on tap, and wow--seriously yum. Definitely grab it before it's gone! Bonus points for not charging that annoying 3% credit card fee. We visited Firewhistle Brewing over the Thanksgiving holiday, and we were so glad we stopped by…read more Firewhistle is located in Elizabeth and parking was available on the street close to the brewery. We visited to check out a new local business and really enjoyed our time there. Firewhistle offers several taps of their own beer, a guest tap, canned beer options, and mixed drinks made with local spirits from other Pennsylvania businesses. The beers we tried were the pumpkin and holiday beers, and they were both very good. They had an IPA too. We also opted for one of the mixed drinks from their new holiday menu: How The Grinch Stole Elizabeth. The mixed drink was also nice and very festive. Our service was great and friendly, explaining some of the things about their process of opening, etc. Free popcorn was provided with the drinks, but you can also order takeout or a pizza from somewhere nearby. The taproom itself is fairly small and cozy with a bar and a few additional two topper tables. When we visited they had decorated for the holidays, and it was really cute. The large mural in the taproom is also well done featuring Pittsburgh's bridges and mills. We look forward to what Firewhistle Brewing has to offer in the future and returning with friends and family when we are in town.
