We have been coming hr for the past 2 years, probably 4-5 times per summer, and have thoroughly enjoyed the shows. The theatre has loads of history and that is nice, but I do wish they would put a little money into new seats. We like the balcony because people aren't on top of you, and many of the seats are torn up and really uncomfortable. The sound system is great, in fact maybe a bit too loud at times, but I have always had a good time. The bar is a nice feature and the staff seem pretty helpful. There is parking everywhere in Kent, so that's never an issue. I don't like that everyone stands outside the doors and smokes because it is extremely overpowering. We may have made a mistake this year and joined the "Friends of Kent Stage". So far I haven't seen any benefit, and although we are supposed to be invited to a special event, we haven't seen any signs of that yet either.

Six years removed from KSU, I found myself drawn back in to East Main Street for their annual Folk Festival, but more specifically to see Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zero's. The first impression had me marveling the old lit-up marquee announcing that night's act. This building had the appearance of an old movie theater. The lobby, small and quaint. The bar was well stocked with a variety of brews. Tall Boy PBR's for the thrifty college student and an assortment of Great Lakes for the rest of us. Freshly popped popcorn, snack packs and fountain beverages were also available. The stage area is a decent size. It seats apx. 500+ if I had to guess with a small 2nd floor balcony. Fold down seats lined in vintage red velour fill the room. The stage and fabric lined walls reminded me of an auditorium in an older school. Acoustically, the space seemed perfectly adequate to handle the tunes that blast from the stage. All in all, this is a great place to see a show and being located right in the heart of E. Main, it's a great location and within walking distance from the locally favorite bars and shops.

Me and my Husband went to The Kent Stage for the first time this weekend to see Robert Cray, he was amazing. Very intimate venue. We sat in row E seats 9 and 10. Great view from our seats, see pictures. Sound was amazing. Walking distance from our hotel. It was a great evening. They have a full service bar. Very nostalgic and you get that old theater feel, which we appreciate. Will for sure be back.

Great little music venue. Mostly musicians who have been around for a while, classics if you will. Really good vibe.

It was absolutely awful! We will never go back to this place as will the performers we went to see.

I even advocated for this gym to other parents letting them know that SURELY their kids privates would not be jeopardized. I WAS WRONG!! For over a year I have had my daughter at the same day and time, however they decided to make it a free for all, EVEN THOUGH there's an option to make a recurring option, it actually does not. So, after paying over $2k in the last year, and my daughter being dedicated to her one day a week time, I am now having to check the site and choosing random days and times to make sure my daughter doesn't lose her skills. After this went live, Karen promised to make it right, but then did NOT. She actually said "I think it'll work itself out" and did NOT take care of my issue. Instead, she said "well I guess I could call the parent and ask if you can have your time back"..... what a real manager and leader would do is say, "You're right, I did promise that and I will make the phone call and let the parent know those times are actually unavailable." If my daughter did not absolutely LOVE her coach, I would go elsewhere. Poor management like this leads me to believe it is not all about progression and dedication to the gym. I'm extremely shocked and disappointed at the response, or lack there of, of this issue. Privates are important to athletes, as this is something they look forward to weekly... or whenever you can snag one on the site.

There was a food truck parked and around four different food venues. The main tent sold $10 specialty beer mugs with a ticket and then $5 tickets after that. There were four different beer options. The ATMs were very busy as they did not accept card (the food venues did). There was a variety of German style foods to try. The prices ranged from $5 to $12. Some of the foods were small portions, while otherwise were a regular portion. They had a main stage that was filled with different entertainment as well as a dance group. The event was overall average. I wish there was more to do at the event. Once you grabbed some beer and food you could either listen to music or leave. Especially when the small blocked off area started to get more crowded.

The fact the sponsoring beer was Spaten Oktoberfest sealed the deal for me. This was the catalyst for me coming actually. I love me a good stein of Spaten! The good? The stein was $10 and came with a free beer ticket. Every ticket thereafter was $5. Not bad for a stein of beer. 6 choices of beer, ales, and ciders. I LOVED the Nitro Pumpkin Spice Latte Ale. WOW! And of course, the Spaten Oktoberfest was the bomb diggity. I love the area those chose to do this in. The architecture in that part of Kent is awesome and it is right off the main drag so we could go walk around when we finished. The brick road there really adds some design nostalgia to the age of the city of Kent. The bad? Gotta say Kent, I was not as impressed as I expected I would be. A VERY small event. The lines for tickets and beer trucks were CRAZY! Not many food truck options either. 4 porta-potties for the entire event? No bueno. Overall, I would say this event wasn't half bad. If Spaten sponsors again next year, I will be back. Otherwise, I would probably pass. Not a half bad experience though!
