In the winter, they provide you with slippers!!! It's like watching a show in your living room, except they are so much more hospitable! It's a cash bar with snacks and drinks, it is licensed as well. The finishing touches really make this place special. They even have a fire pit to roast marshmallows during intermission! Most artists stick around to meet the audience as well! Every show I've ever seen here is my favorite. It's that brilliant!

For music lovers who appreciate great blues music, Peter's Players is the place to be. Last night we watched a concert given by Chris Duarte, a Texas-blues guitarist who is quite extraordinary. The venue accommodates an audience of 88, so there is a great sense of intimacy here. The price of the tickets were very affordable, and offered great value. This is what a music venue really should be like, and to find something like this in Gravenhurst is remarkable. This is a venue we will be sharing with our friends and encouraging everyone to go to. The musicians that play here are best in class. I glanced over the wall of picture of past performers, and I remain surprised at Peter's ability to bring in musicians of such high calibre. I am not affiliated with Peter's Players, and my recommendation is to go to his website and subscribe to his newsletter today!

We stayed here for our 1st wedding anniversary and overall enjoyed our stay…read more Our suite was well appointed and we were very comfortable there. Loved the electric fireplace in the living room/kitchen area, just felt so cozy. The room was very clean and the bed was super nice to sleep on, like a cloud! We did have a bit of an odd experience checking in when we arrived. The lady at the front desk was nice but super flustered when our cards kept not working in their card machine. We for sure had more than enough funds on all of the cards we tried using but they kept getting declined. Finally her coworker arrived and was able to help her sort it out but it was an awkward experience overall and not the best way to start our stay there. We ate breakfast each morning downstairs as our stay included $10 per person per day. I do wish they were offering a daily menu feature just to have had a bit more variety to choose from but the food was tasty. We also dined downstairs two of the three nights we stayed - the dinner options were also delicious. We also really loved the wines they had too, lots of great selection. One evening after dinner, we sat outside at the fire pit and relaxed for a while together which was so nice. The grounds were beautiful and the resort is situated right on the water, very picturesque. The pool was super dirty when we visited so sadly we didn't use it but it was close to the end of summer (beginning of September) so perhaps it was a bit neglected at that point. Other than the pool and the bumpy check in process, overall we enjoyed our stay here and may return again someday!

Not ideal and weren't impressed as we reserved it a few days prior on the patio. Thankfully when we arrived there was one table available that sat our party of 6. Service was good. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. Additional service notes: 1. We didn't all receive waters until 45 minutes into the experience, and we had to ask multiple times for them. 2. The food service itself took a long time considering it wasn't super busy - mains took 1-1.5 hours after ordering. 3. When we finished our dinner we sat with dirty plates for a very long time before they were removed. 4. Coming from Toronto typically when bars/restaurants learn of a special occasion they will comp something or send out celebratory shooters to "get the party going" - could be the area, but was a little disappointed by the lack of acknowledgement from the establishment. However the Food was good, traditional pub fare. Nothing outstanding. Price was a little expensive for what you do get. Drinks were underwhelming. We don't recommend the margaritas. Tasted like bar lime - no tequila taste and for 12-13$ (Toronto pricing) they really should have tasted better considering. Surprised most drinks were $9+ for the area and they were out of coolers and had limited options. There was supposed to be live music but they didn't arrive or go on. (Part of the reason we chose this particular bar). That would have been nice to know ahead of time as we would have likely moved a reservation to a live music spot. All in all in the area that was close to us - Not bad. But not what we had anticipated when we reserved. Basic pub, nice patio - good view If you are looking for live music I would call and ask the day of, as the band/person never showed up to our evening as advertised. Personally I wouldn't go back - unfortunately nothing special.
