The Junto might just be the main character of Columbus hotels. From the second we walked in, the vibes were immaculate: modern, open-concept, and just hip enough that I briefly considered buying new glasses to fit in. Check-in: Blink and you'll miss it. So fast we wondered if we skipped a step. Room: Spotless. Like, "has anyone ever even stayed here before?" clean. Staff: MVPs. We asked for ice and it was hand-delivered like it was room service for royalty. Valet: Friendly, fast, and somehow made me feel like I drive a luxury car (spoiler: I don't). There was a wedding going on, so it was lively -- but in a fun way, like being an extra in someone else's rom-com. It added a little buzz, not chaos. Dog policy? Yes, they welcome furry friends with open paws. The $100 dog fee stung a little, but honestly, if that's what keeps the place smelling like eucalyptus instead of wet Labrador, I'll allow it. Love the little touches too: * A fancy water bottle filling station right out front (hydration is sexy) * Open bar-style lounge that practically begs you to order a cocktail and write a novel * Steps from a beautiful park and tons of walkable areas * Surrounded by gorgeous buildings and genuinely kind people (Ohio, you charming thing, you) Final verdict? Five stars, easy. If The Junto was a person, we'd totally be friends -- or at least wish we were.

We stayed here for our 29th anniversary. The staff and accommodations were second to Nunn. We ate at their little West restaurant and we're treated like royalty. I will stay here every time I go into Columbus.

My review is in reference to the holiday pop-up "Santa baby "bar @ The Junto. I had never been to something like this and was really excited to give it a try while my daughter was visiting for the holidays last week. It was a complete letdown. Awkward, uncomfortable, crowded seating. My daughter ordered an espresso martini and it came in a large glass coffee cup, but wasn't cold or warm just room temperature. The glass was only half full and very expensive. We also ordered a dessert platter called "The naughty list" which was also very underwhelming. The chocolate cake tasted like it was freezer, burnt and way overpriced at $20 for something they unpackaged and put on a plate.

Great place, food was wonderful, everything is cooked fresh, they do not even have a microwave. The potato chips are special and could be eaten all day. Service was wonderful for 3 days straight. Nice bar area that opens up outside as well.

We tend to come here when our dog wants an adventure. I know thats weird but this hotel is extremely dog friendly and I havent been inside it without seeing a someone else with a dog. The lobby is extremely comfortable. Lots of sofa vignettes and two or three longe work tables should you need to work on your laptop. The lobby has a full bar in the lobby as well as access to the restaurant "Little West Tavern". which also has a great bar and menu (a bit pricey but delicious). There is a roof top bar as well. Should you stay overnight... they have a section where you can borrow almost anything you can think of.... If I remember correctly they have bikes and maybe even a kayak. Its really a great lifestyle type of boutique hotel.

I'm not in the habit of leaving 5 star reviews but the staff here is amazing. We booked a room for Red,white and boom. It was the Artists flat and there was a separate sitting room with big picture windows in both rooms overlooking the fireworks. The staff with a special shoutout to Anthony, Cody and Julia were friendly, professional and helpful. This is probably one of their busiest days because of the fireworks but no one seemed hurried or annoyed. We didn't eat here but look forward to coming back. Pictures are worth 1000 words!

We used The Junto Hotel as our home base for a date day/night in Franklinton. It was our first time staying here and it was a really nice experience. Keep in mind this is not in downtown proper, but across the bridge on Broad Street, which makes it walkable to Franklinton, the veterans memorial, and COSI, but it is a little bit longer walk into town depending on where you're going. The Broad Street bridge and the rich Street bridges crossover into two different parts of downtown that makes it easy to navigate by foot or bike. The king suite was spacious and modern with nice amenities like refillable water bottles, Bodum pour-over style coffee makers, nifty lighting, and a cool window bench overlooking the patio and green space. It was a comfortable room, but we quite enjoyed the public spaces too. The hotels public spaces are warm and communal (if you want to be). There is a nice outdoor patio with a wood burning fireplace and indoor work stations. The Gear Garage is a great way to get interactive with the neighborhood and city, as you can rent complimentary bikes, scooters, kayaks, and all sorts of other fun games and cameras. For late-night nosh, the Poutine Window is open Thu-Sun 6-10p.

I was told that my Honors Member rate would be booked for the full stay. At check in, the reservation I made was not even for the correct number of nights. I booked for Wednesday thru Sunday but they only had my block of rooms for Wednesday and Thursday. We were told to come down and check out and check back in the following day. When we came down in the morning to take care of this, that front desk person said we should not have had to check in and check out and move rooms even though this is what we were told upon arrival. We then find out that our rate has gone from $187 to approximately $500 a night for the remaining stay. Of course we are shocked. We went to speak to the manager and he was not willing to meet us in the middle to find a solution. He gave us a hard no and said you won't find another hotel in this area for the remaining days. We found another hotel, three rooms left and did not stay and found other accommodations. I think there were enough issues with our reservations and being told a different story depending upon who we spoke with that the hotel. It is unfortunate that they seemed to not care to loose guests and two rooms. I am truly floored by the switch and bait and also that management/staff really seemed to not be bothered. Is the food great? No, but it's freeeee so quit your complaining. Everyone likes free even if it's just kind of average. I will say, the cocktails are pretty good. And if you have kids, you can make the free food and drinks your dinner and save some serious money dining out. By the way, the hot dogs are steamed and are wonderful. Really. This trip brought us to the LeVeque. I opened the door to my room and literally stopped in my tracks. My first thought: Can the interior designer come do my house next? The decor is gorgeous. One of my favorite discoveries was that the gold framing around the mirrors and bed? Plastic. The crisscross "marble" lamp bases? Also plastic. Honestly, brilliant. They look exactly like the kind of ridiculously heavy gold frames and marble lamps that would double as murder weapons in a Dateline episode. The bathroom is huge, the towels are fluffy, and there's a separate privacy door for the toilet--an underrated luxury when traveling. My only room complaint: the shampoo has that generic "guy cologne" scent that never quite smells as good as its creators think it does. The hotel's artwork is classy, and the bar area is comfortable with plenty of couches for lounging. The drinks, however, are pricey. At those prices, the martinis should arrive with special effects--a bubble on top that explodes into smoke, minimum. A minor annoyance: the lobby ran out of Diet Coke for purchase. Unfortunately, Marriott doesn't seem to give employees a small emergency soda fund to run out and buy a case. As for parking, valet would have been nice, but instead you park in the garage around the corner. The attached walkway makes it easy enough, though. Overall: beautiful hotel, stunning rooms, great atmosphere.

I felt $39 for valet parking was very high, especially since the first night my car was not even parked in their lot. I actually felt that they should have refunded part of the valet fee since my car was parked a block and a half away in an unattended lot. I actually felt that for $39 per night that the cars should have been in a garage. The hotel was nice, though we were looking for something to eat late at night after 10:00 p.m. and didn't realize that the sports bar stop serving food after 10:00 p.m. and the restaurant upstairs was packed and very loud. We ended up ordering out doordash which was easier and quicker especially since it was pouring down rain outside. The desk wasn't always staffed while we were there, that included when we called on the phone at 7:00 p.m. to speak with someone and the phone just rang and rang and rang, it also included daytime when we were looking to speak with someone at the front desk and there was no one there. A desk in a downtown hotel should be staffed 24 hours a day. When we booked our room I didn't realize my mother would need a handicapped room. When we finally did get a hold of someone a little bit after 7:00 on that first evening we were able to move to a room that was supposedly handicapped but wasn't quite as I expected it would be. Yes there were rails everywhere in the bathroom but the toilet was low and what really blew my mind was there was a bathtub and anyone who's handicapped like let's say in a wheelchair is not going to be able to get into the bathtub or out very easily. There was a seat underneath the sink that could be set up in the tub but how would somebody if they were handicapped get into and out of it. The first room we had had a nice shower that you could practically walk in without having to climb over the edge of a bathtub. I would have felt that would have been much better of an option for someone handicapped. Drawer space in both rooms was non-existent. In the handicap room there was one drawer underneath the fridge. In the other room there were two drawers. We were there for the weekend, we operated out of the suitcase. They were all so only four hangers. It seemed to me a bit ridiculous that there wasn't enough storage space for someone who might want to unpack if they were there for a week or longer than a weekend. In fact, I've never been in a Marriott hotel that didn't have more storage than this one. It was a bit odd to me. The staff was friendly, helpful, the little store downstairs was nice to pick up some drinks or some snacks, I'm unsure where we would have heated up the frozen dinner or pizza that were in the freezer in that little store since we didn't have a microwave in our hotel room. It was nice that the hotel was close to comfest that was happening while we were visiting the area and that North market was just a block up. It was nice that you could walk to things and weren't always reliant on your car. Again I really wanted to like this hotel thoroughly, but there were just things that didn't make sense and were problematic to me. But since we were there for an event, we didn't have a choice of the hotel for that event.
