Back in November I signed up for a two month agreement for the joint in Riverside Plaza. Had a decent visit for the first one. Signed up for a two month agreement and I say that again because the front desk person insisted it was only for two months and it was only for two months. Called in February to cancel the service being told that it wasn't just for two months and it would continue to run told me it was canceled call just now and spoke to. Somebody says I have to fill out paperwork in order for it to be canceled I asked her why? I don't know. So you need paperwork in order to click a button that says cancel? Yes. why? I don't know that's just how the system is. Why is this facility being ran like it's a Gym from 1999, are they owned by Bally's total fitness? When you are signing I'll be very explicit about the details apparently absolutely ridiculous. I will be filing a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. read more

Wow! Not a good experience at all!! I arrived 15 minutes early, on my own, to complete the new patient paperwork. A man came up to me abruptly, and asked me to hurry up and fill out the paperwork so that someone in the office could leave. Turns out, that was the doctor! read more

But his office is very unorganized he's extremely unorganized not professional at all and I went in for that free adjustment and consultation just to get sent out for x-rays that were like $140 never got an adjustment won't be coming back that's it. One star since I cannot put zero. This was a return visit after a 2 year span and let me tell you that I am highly disappointed in my care I received yesterday. I spent more time filling out paperwork than I spent with the chiropractor. Went in the back and described how I was feeling and he used a massage gun on me for a few seconds then told me to get on my stomach. He attempted to adjust me then told me to flip over and cracked my neck. He flipped me to my side twisted me but nothing happened and said ok bye. All in all my neck was the only thing "adjusted. " His care for patients is unacceptable for the $45 I spent. I was so shocked and appalled I didn't know what to say, I paid and walked out so disappointed. I could have done what he did on my own for free!!! I will not be returning to this location. I do not drive for medical reasons and this place is the closest to me but I would rather pay an Uber to take me somewhere farther than return to this guy! read more

This place is cool I like the fact that If your traveling you can usually find one to stop in for a quick adjustment I don't remember the guys name but he's the younger guy that's there Monday through Friday he's absolutely the best he actually asks questions and seems to spend more time with you then all others overall great place read more

However this last time I went in I met a new Dr. he was pretty rude I didn't feel comfortable or relaxed we exchanged a few words then he just got straight to work making me feel very rushed as soon as he performed his 5 minute adjustment on me he simply said "that's all I got for you." Dr. Maddi is the man!! My favorite man, is what I call him! He has helped me with my fibromyalgia, my lower back pain and headaches. He is gentle, thorough and never forces an adjustment. This place is a godsend. I had tweaked my neck pretty badly and was struggling to turn my head in either direction for a couple of weeks. I would even notice that my head rested over to the right side when I was standing still. Then I heard about this place that opened up near my place of work, it was called The Joint. I went in and was pleasantly surprised by how affordable the initial visit was. Then I met the man, Dr. Maddi. He explains his techniques in great detail and did his evaluation of my condition before the adjustment. I heard things popping that I wasn't able to get on my own. I left feeling slightly better... but after the second adjustment- I felt like a new man. My neck was back to normal and even some occasional headaches I had been experience were subsided. I received a Free Pass at LA Fitness. So I had to check it out. Dr Maddi first assessed my spine on my initial visit. He stressed the importance of a healthy spine. I am updating my previous review as the service was much better after giving them a second chance. Honestly, I was not going to give them one as I saw another chiropractior in the area, but the adjustment just did not cut it. I decided to try this place again since it is a walkin clinic and maybe they can get traction on my lower back. The initial consult only took 10 minutes of wait time and the doctor was fairly thorough. The normal chiropractor was on vacation, which is perfectly fine, and business did not seem hindered by his absence besides some minor hour changes due to the fill-in chiropractor's schedules. I received 2 adjustments while he was away and they did what they needed to do to get my lower back relaxing. Both visits saw little wait and the front desk was much more friendly and helpful. The biggest reason for the update was when I actually saw Dr Maddi. He actually recognized me as the disgruntled patient from my previous post. He apologized for the confusion and explained the situation. He also followed through with his apology with 3 free visits. He even went further and made sure I was not overpaying for my monthly membership as he found out I was a graduate student and applied the student discount to my account. He definitely compensated for the last visit and ensured me it would not happen again. The final point is the adjustment was good and slow. He was not jerky or rushing with the movements, which is nice and makes for a longer lasting adjustment. He definitely puts care into the adjustment and paid attention to how my back was moving before putting any strain on it. Definitely worth the price. As many reviewers said before they do not x-rays on site. You will need to provide your own xrays, but they were able to adjust me without them. However, I have been adjusted before so I was familiar with my problems and knew I didn't have any serious complications. read more

So when I first started coming to this location it was great. I was being adjusted by an older gentleman that would get EVERYTHING. He was helping me with my posture which was very helpful and he would thoroughly adjust my neck. My go to day to get adjusted is usually Saturday and then that doctor just like disappeared? I feel like the chiropractors here are always changing and when other doctors adjust me they aren't quite as thorough. It's like you would think they leave notes about what they do so other doctors can see what they were being helped with. Recently during my visits I don't feel like I've really been getting my money's worth because the doctors are constantly changing and some are just like...Minimal as can be about the adjustment. I really wish I could remember the guys name I would seriously follow him to a different location if I needed to because he was kind, he didn't make me feel uncomfortable and he was very thorough with the adjustment. I did have one experience with a chiropractor Mr. Ayers (I'm pretty sure that was his name) and he made me feel uncomfortable. I understand that chiropractic medicine does require the doctor to touch you but there is a line between what is necessary and what is actually appropriate. Perhaps it's just me being sensitive, but that experience was bad and I didn't come back for awhile and I avoided going on saturdays because the doctor was too handsy for my comfort level. Anyway. This location kind of went downhill in terms of the chiropractic experience. It was great when I was going initially and then it just started to feel like a waste of money. Depending on how my next few adjustments go I may be ending my chiropractic visits here. Hopefully I can figure out the name of that doctor and follow him to a different location. read more

I was encouraged several times to visit The Joint. At first I was reluctant because I assumed I could not afford chiropractic care. But after suffering with an old and new neck injury, I finally gave in. Upon walking in, I was greeted and immediately helped by the super friendly staff. The Joint is a walk-in facility. After filling out paperwork and waiting just a few minutes, I was seen by Dr. Maddi. I really appreciated the time he spent getting to know me and my health history. He explained everything in language I could understand and made me feel comfortable with every step of the process! I love that Dr. Maddi does not force any adjustment. He works with your body! I never felt rushed or insignificant. In fact I really appreciate the time Dr. Maddi and his staff take to build report with their clients. I have since visited The Joint weekly and my neck and over all flexibility have improved greatly! The monthly membership includes four adjustments for the price I would have expected to pay for one! I can't rate the quality of an adjustment here but I can tell you the front desk staff is either grossly undertrained or careless. I made an appointment by phone and stressed the importance of getting an adjustment that day. The front desk staff replied with "no problem". I let them know I was a new client and expressed once more that I'm in a great deal of pain and need an adjustment today. "No problem, we will see you today and get you taken care of" replied the front staff person. When I arrived to my appointment I was introduced to the chiropractor and he made me feel unwelcome because they had "gotten busy" (his words, not mine) and he was having to do a consultation with me. He asked for my X-rays, which I didn't have because I was unaware that they don't do X-rays at this facility. So he offers to put some biofreeze on my neck and wanted to send me on my way. That's the basic run down of it. They were unorganized and unprofessional and frankly wasted my time. I have no plans to attempt using them in the future. I have been struggling with what I would consider sciatica, mid and lower back pain for years now. During this time I have been getting chiropractic adjustments relatively regularly with some benefit, but not sure why the sciatica was getting worse. The first time that I came to The Joint here in the Riverside Plaza, I could tell that they really cared about my overall health. Found out that I have scoliosis, something that no other chiropractor in the past knew, or told me about. Also the way that I was adjusted was different then I was used to as well. No jumping on my leg, or asking me to breath in deep and let it out - something that has caused my body to hold the adjustment for a longer period of time. In just a matter of two visits my sciatica symptoms have improved by leaps and bounds. Sometimes just walking was a chore and now there are more days than not that I don't have any pain whatsoever. I have been coming to see Dr.Maddi for a few months now and I can tell you I feel like a million bucks after my visits. He really takes the time to fully assess, explain and go over any questions you have. Even referring me for x-rays so he could be sure of the full extent of my scoliosis. I have been to a traditional chiropractor before who wanted thousands of dollars for the exact same treatments. They offer monthly plans which are much more affordable, but with my hectic schedule I opted for the pre-paid deal so I can pick my frequency. The hours are also pretty flexible for anyone with a busy life. For the most part I am in and out of there, but sometimes there is a bit of a wait. However it's really because Dr. Maddi takes his time with each person and it is a true testament for how good he is. Lastly Dr.Maddi is an Army veteran and I have seen lots of veterans in the office as I am waiting as well. Thank you for your service and for being the best chiropractor in the area. read more

I went to The Joint for neck pain. I was told first time guests get a consultation, exam and full back/neck adjustment for $29. The consultation was "what hurts". The exam was touching both side of my back and saying "this side is inflamed". And then the adjustment (if you can all of that) he was turning and pulling my neck really hard. I could tell he was trying to adjust it. I said "ouch" and he said "I'm just stretching it out". Then he said "ok we are done". I said "you didn't even adjust me, it hurts worse" and he replied "yeah it was too tense to adjust so do some stretches and come back tomorrow and the next day". WHAT?!?! You hurt me worse and did nothing yet still had no issue collecting payment when he admitted he didn't even adjust me. I left crying in worse pain than I arrived. I called another chiropractor who was able to get me in same day and was able to adjust me no problem. Hmmmm weird right... read more

Dr. Maddi is the most welcoming, knowledgeable, and hospitable medical professional I have ever met. He's an amazing chiropractor that healed a sciatica i had acquired while training for the LA Marathon. I was able to complete the marathon and am still running today thanks to his healing hands. Additionally, his establishment is always clean and I'm never waiting for an obscenely long time prior to seeing him. I'm usually in and out in less than fifteen minutes. Dr. Maddi has also helped me when I'm sore from lifting weights and obstacle course races. He treats any kind of athlete and any kind of injury. I cannot recommend him enough. His staff is also really friendly and helpful. They also have free candy for patients and water while you wait. I cannot recommend him enough. Try him out, you will not regret it. read more

Terrible. Walked in and as soon as they saw me and my family they gave us many excuses of why they couldn't see us. From sending me to a specialist and asking over and over if I was In a accident which I told.then I wasnt. DONT GO HERE! Especially do not see the middle eastern doctor named Dr. Majdi Dayyeh, DC (his nick name dr. Maddy haha! Like a GIRL!) I believe he is there (Tuesday through Fri/Sat)...he said he would not adjust me because there were no notes on me from being seen at "The Joint" in east vale which is awesome by the way! Love Dr. Bowen at the Eastvale location. There has been MANY complaints about Dr. Maddy and a "investigation" because he is prejudice. He turned me down twice now for an adjustment because he said I did not need it when the Doctor Bowen stated I needed to come 3 times a week for two weeks then once a week for maintenance. I was furious that I complained to a higher up and drove to Eastvale instead (which was difficult at that time of night due to traffic). The Riverside location is on my way home from work so that is the reason why I stop in here. When I'm home on the weekend I have gone to the eastvale location. I also heard that this office is going to be taken back into corporate from a high up do to the investigation/lawsuit. Dr. maddy will also not see you if you come during the hour he only see's GI's...he is so cocky and even brags about how was a military chiro. What a big ego yet you hardly speak English correctly. I could hardly understand him when he was speaking to me. The point is..Dr. Maddy is prejudice, Riverside location is under SERIOUS accusations/investigation and will most likely shut down or get sucked back up into corporate since it's a franchise. They are doing a horrible job and will try to UPSALE you on things when they are not supposed to be doing that. What a waste of my time to sit and wait to be seen just to be turned away. ( I have two young children, single mommy, full time work full time masters...I do not have time for this crap!!!) They also claimed that they had no info to charge me and I said I would pay cash. then they said they can not take my payment in cash. I told this to a higher up in the system and she laughed and said they lied to you. It was that receptionist in the front who told me they could not take my payment when my card is on FILE! Do not take your reviews down this location will personally call you to bribe you to remove your posts with discounts and free things. I WILL not accept an apology either. I hope this location closes down soon. The worse part about ALL of it was is Dr. Maddy brought me over to the computer stating there was NO medical notes on me and said to me "you can see for yourself". Sometimes you have to wait but that's what happens when you have a very popular doctor. Sometimes if you are lucky and there's some down time you may get some extra time for a massage. I have been "The Joint" member since 2014 and usually go to the Rancho Cucamonga Winery location. But, my Physical Therapy sessions are in Riverside, so I figured to go a location near it. It was a great decision. Dr. Maddi is amazing! Yes, the wait to see him can be a bit long, but worth it. He will take the time to understand what you are going through. During my first exam, he felt that I had scoliosis, never been officially diagnosis with it and my primary doctor didn't see it during her exam, but after I had X-rays for it, there it was on my lumbar portion of my spine. I am forever grateful to him. Now, all my Joint appointments will focus on improving my life with Scoliosis. read more

I'm not a regular yelper. But this is so irritating, I feel like others should know so they don't waste their time too. I'm a regular at a different location. I recently moved and this is the closest one to me. I like the convenience and ease of being able to walk due to my work schedule. However, this location makes it impossible to be seen. This is the fourth time in a row I've come in and have walked out two mins later because they didn't have time for me. Today, I was turned away because the Dr. Wouldn't have time to treat me before lunch. Even though I had called earlier and they told me if I was a returning patient to just show up at a certain time. I did, and then was turned away and told to come back after lunch. After I had rearranged my day to make time for this. What is the point of having a walk-in service and if I have to make an apt to be seen (which doesn't work for my schedule because of my job, hence why the walk-in option is convenient) or returning at later time because it's inconvenient for the business. I hate to say it, but highly inconvenient and I do not recommend this location. read more
