Dr Ben is nothing short of amazing. One of the very few drs I know who should be drs and are willing to actually help, he will get to the root cause of your issue and try to fix it, unlike other drs who prescribe pills and put a bandaid on your symptoms. I go there and take my kids to him, Gonstead chiropractic is the way to go, I get my kids adjusted for everything from falls to fevers to infections and trust me it works. I used to be the mom who visits the pediatrician a minimum of twice a month until I woke up and learned about Gonstead. I walked in i was promptly seen by Dr. Ben Moshrefi. I've seen a few chiropractor in my life time but Dr. Ben Moshrefi was so incredibly detailed in what exactly was causing the issue. He took time to answer all my questions and explain what I needed to do on my end to be to recover. Dr. Ben Moshrefi is by far the best chiro I have ever seen. Dr Ben is incredible! I spent YEARS taking multiple medications prescribed by a neurologist and still never received pain relief. Went to see Dr. Ben about 2 weeks ago, I had pretty intense lower back pain for 2 weeks and it was getting worse and worse as time passed by. I'm only 28 so I was worried that I was too young for this kind of pain. I was referred by someone at work, when I called they were able to squeeze me in as an emergency at 6pm that same day. I had a follow up appointment today and I feel almost back to normal. The thing I love the most, was the x-ray. Dr.Ben doesn't just crack your back in random spots. He actually diagnoses where the problem is based on the x-ray and symptoms. He's always very professional and I don't feel like our appointments are rushed. My experiences were similar to what Lyza described in her review. I saw her previous review, which made me hesitant at first, but since the other chiropractor I was interested in didn't take insurance and Dr. Ben had so many great reviews, I decided to try my luck here. Don't make the same mistake I did. I've copied below the complaint I filed with the Board of Chiropractors (too lazy to retype out my thoughts/experiences). My goal isn't to destroy his career, but to protect others from the misconduct and extreme discomfort I experienced. "I believe that Dr. Ben Moshrefi conducted professional misconduct during the two appointments I scheduled with him. I am filing this complaint with multiple griefs: 1) I understand that optimal use of his scope device requires direct contact with bare skin. I was not forewarned prior to the process that my shirt would be completely lifted up in the back, exposing my undergarments, nor that my bottoms would be pulled down so the bottom of my sacral spine could be exposed. Notably, I presented to the clinic with neck pain and was also not expecting any evaluation of my lower spine at that time. As a healthcare provider, I have been trained to always inform my patients of the purpose and expectations for each session. Dr. Moshrefi demonstrated gross ignorance of the comfort of his patients (especially those who are female) when performing such evaluation. 2) Upon positioning me for my lumbar spine X-ray, my shirt was again completely lifted in the back (Dr. Moshrefi even had the audacity to tuck it into my exposed bra). I have had full spine X-rays performed before so it is to my understanding that my bare back does not need to be exposed in order for my body to be positioned correctly, nor do my upper buttocks need to be touched. Additionally, I am not well versed in radiology, but I am also concerned that no protection was offered for any X-rays performed. 3) Beyond the multitude of instances in which my shirt was repeatedly lifted, Dr. Moshrefi also placed his fingers near my tailbone area far too many times for my comfort. I understand if once is necessary for evaluation (if even that), but repeatedly pressing against that area of my spine in order to "demonstrate" to me the increased pressure in that location is unnecessary and undesired. 4) My greatest complaint against Dr. Moshrefi is a clear example of gross misconduct. While preparing to adjust my lumbar spine, Dr. Moshrefi again lifted up my shirt, rubbed my lower lumbar spine (again as if to demonstrate to me where my own spine was), and brushed his hand against my rear end before adjusting my spine. This action was clearly not an accident in any way and by no means necessary for care. I have been to a couple other chiropractors, and I can safely say that none of them acted as indiscriminately and unprofessionally as Dr. Moshrefi. I am not the first patient of his to come forth with such a story, and I worry that there will be or currently are others in similar situations." As a side note, the clinic also does not engage in safe Covid preventative measures. No masks are worn or required... extremely concerning for a small clinic that sees so many patients each day. read more

There are no COVID safety precautions for staff or patients which was startling due to the tiny, front waiting room. Close quarters prevents the opportunity to social distance. I found this irresponsible and will not return. The adjustment was abrupt and my initial concern of tension in certain areas seemed to be disregarded. read more

Came in for an initial appt on a rainy, cold day on 4/8/16. Dr. Moshrefi took xrays, reviewed my condition, made suggestions and initially corrected my neck, shoulder and lower back problems. Where to start... I came in because I was having migraines again & as usual I know this is a sign of needing another adjustment. I've tried other chiropractors before but thought I'd give this one a try & see if "gonstead" was worth the extra cost. When I 1st called to make an appt, the girl at the front desk didnt seem to know much and I got the impression she was trying to upsell me. She went back and forth on things & it was a bit confusing as well. Day of my 1st appt... I meet "Dr. Ben". He seemed nice enough & I did agree with some of his holistic ideas... but that's pretty much the only good things I experienced with him. 1st... not knowing my history or the many doctors, chiropractors, specialists, ect that I've seen & learned from in the past, he rubbed me a little wrong with his "mansplaining" and how he kept trying to home in on something I must be eating that causes all of my problems. The only "bad thing" I said yes to was ice cream... I'm pretty sure ice cream hasn't caused all my physical issues. But it gets worse... and remember...this was my FIRST time meeting Dr. Ben.... he starts with the x-rays... he places his hands too close for comfort in areas that really werent neccessary for me to stand how he needed... he kept placing his hand on my pubic bone... multiple times. I kept trying to convince myself this was okay as he's a doctor, right?.. but it definitely did not feel okay, nor has anyone ever had to do that to me during my prior x-rays. While going over my x-rays, without warning, he shoves his hand down the back of my pants. He acted like he needed to in order to show me where my tailbone was. As if I didnt already know. Next... the adjustment. Everything was fine until he insisted on my tailbone again. (Mind you, my tailbone was feeling fine. No issues there. But again, I gave him the benefit of the doubt as a doctor..) he again places his hand INSIDE my pants. My pants were thin. Why is this neccessary? He proceeds to jam his fingers into my tailbone as if to prove to me that I am in pain there when I wasnt! Minus him jamming his fingers there! He goes lower & lower until his fingers are practically in my anus. I jump & almost elbow him. Not only was this very uncomfortable, it HURT. Afterwards, I was left with a horrible mood, felt abused, and was left in pain that I didnt have prior to my appt. I wish I had said something then, but as women, we often hold in our discomforts.. the more I thought about it, the more I wish I had. Oh... and one more thing... when i walked into the room, the prior patients info was left up. And Dr. Ben looked through other patient xrays (with their names visible) and was showing them to me. I'm pretty sure this is against HIPAA. Long review but as you can see, alot went on here. read more

I took my daughter in at 4weeks, and again at 6 weeks, she had horrible Colic, and would cry any time she was awake, nothing I did would help. I tried everything from drops to home remedies nothing helped. I took her to see Dr. Been, after her second visit she is like a new baby!
