I have been with the joint for years, in TX I came to this location because I was visiting. I tried to scan my card and then front dest girl said because your out of state I would have to pay for a visit which was 35-40 ish for the visit to just get adjusted. I stood there and explain to her I am a member and then I could go any location and they would still do it. She said this is a new policy we don't do that. Then I said I don't think so I did not receive any email for updating the policy. So she swiped the my card and I waited. He adjusted me and it's not even half of what they do in TX. So I just canceled my membership and going somewhere else from now on. read more

I'm in town on business and was having severe neck pain. I went to this location to get some relief. I forgot what the doctor's name is, but she did a great job. That was the best adjustment I've ever had from a Joint chiropractor. She even found problems I wasn't aware of, like a rib that was out of place. I didn't have an ice pack but I did have a water bottle in my hotels mini fridge. I used that to ice my neck, then laid down to relax. My neck pain is completely gone now and I feel great. If I could give this location and doctor, 10 stars I would. read more

Dr. Kyle is AMAZING! No exaggeration, I've been going to chiropractors for 25 years and he's one of the best I've ever had. He listens and believes what I say I'm feeling. He naturally adapts to my extremely quirky body's unique needs (Ehlers-Danlos and hypermobile) without ever acting like I'm making extra work for him. He's thorough and takes his time, never making me feel like he has somewhere better to be. After the first adjustment, I walked out going, "Ooh, yes, *THAT* is what an adjustment is supposed to feel like!" Unlike other docs, though, every adjustment since then has been just as good. (Too many give you the extra attention the first time, then start rushing through later visits. He's never done that.) He's great with the activator or manual adjustments, sitting up or laying down, whatever you need. He's not the closest Joint Chiropractic to our house, but he's 100% worth the trip! read more

Looking for a quick adjustment? This is the place to come. Your first visit is $19 and they have options they explain to you after your first visit. They do have a wellness plan they will sell you on, for me it was worth it due to the number of times I need to come in for a visit. It's $59 before tax a month and includes 4 adjustments and then each adjustment in that month is $29 after that. This option allows you to cancel any time. You can pay $29 per visit if you don't think you will come often after your first one or if you know you will be utilizing it a lot you can pay $49 a month for a 6 month period but no easy cancellation you are locked in to that period. I like the flexibility, no appointment is needed, you can just walk in and they give you a card you scan to check yourself in (similar to those little tags for the gyms or any kind of club you get access to). Adjustments take about 5-10 minutes, dependent on your wait. I've been in and out in 15 minutes the past couple of times I've been there. Not bad at all! Just make sure you if you go with the wellness plan that you take advantage and utilize the number of adjustments included before the next month because they will not rollover. So far the staff and the chiropractors I have met have been nice, pretty straight forward, and quick. For me that is what I want, for some if you want more of a personable experience where you are there for 30 minutes or so then this is not the place for you. This is truly meant for those who need to come in as they need and want an affordable and quick solution. Location is great, it's on Main Street over by the Kids Hair and Yogurt Lab, decor is soothing as it should be in this kind of establishment, darker colors and very serene. I love the JOINT in Maple grove. I have gone there several times and always benefit from the adjustments. I had been having shoulder problems with a pain in my front muscle. I went for an adjustment with Dr. Hoffman. I asked him if he had any adjustment for the shoulder area, and he said of course. I have wrestled with this pain for weeks. I recently visited The Joint Chiropractic in Plymouth, MN. I was being seen for some pain in my hip. I was called back to the adjustment area. I felt like I was in the Indy 500. He started the adjustment on my back and he was in such a rush I wasn't even able to get my breath out before he tried adjusted my back and he just kept going down my back and then hip adjustments.. I couldn't believe how fast he was going and how concerned I was he was going to mess my back up more than I already was. The adjustment didn't last more than 5 minutes.. Top notch staff with several affordable adjustment options. I highly recommend them! The wait time is rarely more than 15-20 minutes. The staff is aways friendly and helpful. The location wasn't the easiest to find the first time I visited. I have been going for the past six months. Great Idea and I'm very happy to be able to fit an adjustment into my 30-minute lunch break. The desk staff is sales/surface friendly and the membership options, though extensive, are confusing and befuddled with small print. The actual treatments are cursory, which is partly a benefit in that they're quick; no expensive x-Rays nor fantastically relaxing Intersegmental Traction here. The doctors who have treated me have displayed a vast range of skills and personalities; there is one whom I feel is sincerely interested in helping me heal and with whom I am at ease. I do feel that all the employees of this establishment are competent in their positions. The prices are ok for what you get. read more

I went in on a Saturday morning needing an adjustment for a hip displacement causing me pain. I was asked about qualifying or having Medicare. I answered "yes" and was refused treatment. I didn't want or need to use my insurance, but that didn't matter. So if you are Medicare qualified, lie if you want treatment. read more

While I like the concept of The Joint (quick in and out at a low cost with no appointment necessary) and I have been to several different ones, Dr. Steve Beilby from the Maple Grove office SUCKS!!!!! Stay far, far away. I went in and the first thing he had me do was sit in a metal folding chair to do an adjustment to my neck. He had me look straight forward and then moved my head slightly to the left - kind of like a barber would do - just barely moved it. Not as far as I could turn it, but I let him do what he wanted. Then he turned my head to the right as far as it would go and it turns quite a bit like a normal person. He walked away to look at the chart on the computer and asked if I get a lot of headaches. I said no. As he was at the computer to my left and behind me, I turned my head the whole way and looked at him. He came back and tried to adjust my head by barely moving it. Nothing happened as he did not perform any kind of adjustment. He then turned my head to the left as far as normal and as far as I could already turn it prior to the "adjustment." He had done absolutely nothing as he gloated that that should help my neck problem. (By the way, I didn't have a neck problem.) He then had me lay down on the adjusting table and asked me to describe where I needed an adjustment. I told him between my shoulder blades. So, without touching my back, he hovered his hands over my spine and between my shoulder blades and then slightly pressed down onto my back and did nothing. He then says, "I got it." I told him he didn't do anything. He told me that he felt it move. It didn't. I asked him to do it again and he said he got it. Again, he didn't and he wouldn't do anything else. I also told him that I needed an adjustment to my hips. He had me slide down the table and raised the lower part of the table that assists with the hip adjustments. He slightly pushed on my hips until the table reset. Nothing happened. He did it a second time by barely touching me and then said, "we'll do it one more time." After the third time, he said we were all done. I told him he didn't do anything at all. He didn't adjust my neck, he didn't do my hips and he certainly didn't do my upper back. I asked him to adjust my upper back and he told me that he had already done it. I told him he didn't. He said he did and that he has a different method of treatment than other chiropractors. I told him he didn't do anything and I still needed my upper back adjusted. He told me that he wouldn't do it. This went on for about five minutes with him repeating that his method of treatment was simply a different way of treating patients. He finally agreed and I laid back down on the table and he adjusted my upper back with one push and we both heard it. I stood up and said I told you that it needed to be adjusted. He just whined that his method was simply a different way of treating patients. NOT PERFORMING ANY SERVICE IS NOT A DIFFERENT WAY OF TREATING PATIENTS. IT'S NOT TREATING THEM AT ALL. This guy SUCKS!!! About six months prior I watched him do the same to my son and my son complained about the same lack of service. I didn't think anything of it since my son was new to chiropractic treatment, but after I went to see him I can say that my family will never see Steve Beilby ever again. This guy should get fired!!!!! That place is always empty as no one wants to see him as he does nothing. I think he is simply there to get a paycheck and nothing else. Terrible. I repeatedly offered my MRI report, and each chiropractor turned that down. My injury was adjusted incorrectly time and again, and I thought it was normal to feel worse after an adjustment. After many months, I was told by one of them that I should NOT feel worse after each appointment, and I stopped going. Went in to cancel my monthly plan and was told I had to pay for four more adjustments as part of my cancellation, even though she understood I couldn't be adjusted again. What am I going to do with those adjustments? Their contract is garbage! The Joint preys on the desperation of people trying to heal. Take your money to a real provider, one that takes an oath to do no harm. read more

My issue is not so much with the chiropractic care, but with their business practices. I went there last summer because I was in a lot of pain from an unknown source. They said they could help me and I signed up for a 1 month "package" of 4 adjustments. I had my 4 adjustments and was still in a lot of pain. Sometime later I found out my pain was being caused by a very serious disease and I needed serious medical treatment of which I am still undergoing. Unbeknownst to me, in the small print of the contract I had signed with "The Joint", I had agreed that my credit card could be charged monthly until I came in and cancelled the contract. They also require a 30 day notice. This means that unless you notify them at the time you sign the contract that you are also cancelling it the same day, you are automatically signing up for 2 months. No one cancels on the same day and they know that. It's a way they can get more money from you! On my card statement, the charge was under medical services and said "DC GROUP PC" not "The Joint." By the time I researched who that was, my card had been charged 5 more times! When I called them and explained the situation to them, they said a refund was out of the question and offered me more adjustments. I can't have any more adjustments because of my current, very serious, medical issues. They said I signed a contract and "too bad." There is a difference between businesses that do things because they legally can, and businesses that operate on an ethical basis. When I am trusting someone with my body, I want them to have ethical values. The Joint does not. I am not the only one this has happened to. Look at other reviews from other locations. One guy got charged 8 times! Don't trust your body with these people. read more
