As most people are, I was very skeptical about this place, it seems to good to be true! The D.C. Was very thorough, asked where my pain was, did some skin tests to find sensitivity, felt each vertebrae in my spine and then cracked the ones that were bothering me. I have severe neck and upper back pain due, the immediate relief I felt was amazing. Now my neck is so much more flexible. I still have back pain, I know 1 treatment is not going to fix everything. However, I am very excited to continue coming back and seeing my progress. I've also convinced my mom and boyfriend to get adjustments. read more

The doctors are great but the receptionists not so much... I came in today 20 minutes before the office closes for break and was told the Dr. Wouldn't be able to see me until after the break at 2:45. I asked the receptionist why not since there was still 20 minutes and appointments only take about 5-7 minutes. She said I could check in still but would have to wait for 45 minutes. Of course I can't just wait in the parking lot for 45 minutes so I told her I'd just have to come another day. Super frustrating and such a bummer because I have such bad back pain today is one of my only free days. I am sure if the doctor knew, he'd be willing to see me, but she was very uptight and self-righteous. Extremely disappointed. read more

I moved to vegas for school and was back in town during break. My lower back has been bothering me for about 2 years and I've been to 5 different chiropractors. I was impressed with the doctor in Vegas and love how affordable the monthly payments are and it allows me to go to ANY location! I feel that all The Joint locations are set up the same way and are all very clean. When I arrived it was 2:28 and they were still eating lunch. So, don't come here from 1:30-2:30! They opened the door at 2:30 to let me in and the doctor saw me right away. She was very friendly, but I felt that my adjustment didn't leave me feeling great. Usually other doctors do spend some more time on my back since its my main complaint but the doctor here did not. read more

I've never been to a chiropractor or been adjusted at all so I was a bit skeptical as well and concerned. The gal at the front desk was sweet as pie and answered all the questions she could before I met with the Dr. He was awesome, very knowledgeable and provided a very comfortable atmosphere. I didn't get a headache afterward as he suggested may happen and I felt like I grew a few inches haha He also sent me a text message later that day to check in on me and make sure I was doing okay and to see if I had any questions for him. I've seen 6-8 different chiropractors over the years and Dr. Standifer is one of the most caring and personable practitioners out there. On Sundays and Mondays, Dr. Novak is there, and he is also great at what he does. I don't see him as often so I haven't gotten to know him as well, but any day of the week, the Joint will take care of you. I love their membership plan, too. I get four visits a month for the cost of 1-2 visits to a "regular" chiropractic clinic. read more

I love the joint, it is so nice that I can always be seen almost immediately at the Long Beach office and I don't think I've ever had to wait longer than 15 minutes to be seen. The chiropractors are all great and consistent. Dr. Jacques who more regularly works out of the Huntington Beach office, is simply fantastic! I have a hip and shoulder injury and every time he works on me he not only gets the two spots that are hurting most but he literally gets every area that is tied into those injuries and I ALWAYS leave feeling perfectly in line after a visit with him. Dr. Frank is also very talented and able to diagnose the specific area that's causing the problem. I was skeptical at first signing up for a month if I really use it if it would really help but honestly it's an excellent price it's so nice just to be able to go back and use it if you throw something out again or get a new injury. The only recommendation I have for the joint is that the appointments are so quick and can feel a little impersonal but I guess you get what you pay for. I wish the Dr. Jacques was regularly at the Long Beach office but I swear it's worth the trip to Huntington Beach if you need a good crack and realignment!!! read more

I had a very terrible first-time experience at this location. I will start by saying the receptionist, Jennifer, is very kind, sympathetic, and professional. However, Dr. Karl Standifer was extremely neglectful and inconsiderate. I was a first-time patient, and had already waited 25 minutes while regular patients walked in and were seen immediately. I was okay with this, because Jennifer was still inputting my info into the system. Totally understandable. Once Jennifer told me I would be seen next, two regulars walked in. She informed them they may have a little wait due to a new patient. Dr Karl then came out into the waiting area, saw the regulars, and greeted them. He then asked "where is my new patient?" And I introduced myself. His next response was "I'm going to take back this other gentleman first. You're a new patient, and will take longer, so I am going to take him, and then him (referring to the second regular that walked in after me) back before you" I was completely appalled by this. This business clearly does not need, or want, ANY new patients, if this is the level of respect I am given on our first face-to-face encounter. Jennifer did call me later to offer a free visit, but I think a call directly from the Doctor would have been better since he is the one that was disrespectful. Time is Money Doc; if you don't care about your patients, we won't care about you. You'd be better off leaving the work cue to Jennifer; she is at least competent, and kind. read more

I had the best chiropractic appt of my life yesterday. I've been going to the chirp for the past couple yrs to help relieve neck stiffness. Yesterday the Lakewood location was closed so I drove over to Long Beach. I saw Dr Bob Standifer and was extremely impressed with the results. Happened upon this place because of a co-worker. We work on our feet all day and my back (body) has paid the price. Had terrible sciatic pain that was my main reason for going. I didn't believe in chiropractors and thought they were all shaman pedaling their cracking techniques until I met Dr. Karl Standifer. Somehow I managed to pull my neck so bad that I couldn't even turn my head right or left without extreme pain. Ended up having to Uber to this place since it checked out on yelp and I was in no condition to drive. Dr. Karl told me upfront it wasn't going to get fixed in one session but I was I so much agony that I decided to take a chance. 3 days in a row I went and each time this guy works his magic. Each day I noticed progressively better movement and a lot less pain. Now 3 days later I'm almost back to normal. This man is a damned miracle worker and worth the money. He's fast but attentive and explains things before he starts cracking. He will back off and advise other remedies if he feels your not ready yet or there is too much pain/swelling. read more

These guys are crooks. We came in because my wife's back was in a lot of pain and they were the only chiropractic place open on a Sunday. They convinced my wife and I to sign up for a monthly plan instead of individual visits, but neglected to mention that they have a mandatory 30 day notice to cancel the membership. After 2 visits we realized that the adjustments here are absolutely worthless as they hardly spend any time with their clients and only do generic adjustments instead of focusing on a person's actual issues. So we go to cancel and find out that not only are we out the 1st month we paid, but are going to be billed again 3 weeks from now for no reason at all other than their ridiculous policy. Save yourselves the frustration and bad service and AVOID THIS PLACE. We're out $140 for no benefit at all. read more

As a competitive cyclist, I am constantly in need of adjustments for my neck and lower back. Dr. Keenan knew exactly what I needed and adjusted me in such a way that I left with better posture and a clearer head. He definitely knows what he's doing and I would recommend his practice to my closest friends and family and anyone else in need of an alignment. The Joint staff is also very friendly and competent. Walking in for the first time I felt immediately welcomed and taken care of. I met the girl who works at the front desk who is also a cyclist, and she said that she gets adjusted once a week and that it really helps her lower back as well. Exactly what I expected a chiropractor to be: "a quack". He must have MRI eyes cause he diagnosed me with a disc problem before he even touched me. He attempted 2 lumbar mobilizations. Didn't get any movement then proceeded to adjust my neck ( I have no neck pain) I guess he assumed I needed to hear a pop. Then I was told I need to come by everyday for a week. I LOVE this place! It is so convenient & quick. It's so nice to just be able to walk-in without an appt. especially when you are a busy mom. My kids go with me and sit and watch. We are in and out in 5 minutes.The membership is very reasonably priced. Much less expensive than my insurance co-pay. I always walk out feeling much better and my issues are slowly going away. I was also scared to go see a chiropractor but always wanted too because I heard they could help with a variety of ailments. A few months ago I began to get a stabbing pain in my right arm. Because I do a lot of typing and mouse work I figured it had something to do with that. My company had me move my desk around to make it ergonomically correct but the pain would still be there. I found a groupon for this place and decided to try it out, couldn't hurt right? Well I went yesterday morning. I walked in and immediately liked the vibe of the place, the receptionist was a peach and the colors inside just calmed me down. It took me less than 10 minutes to see the Dr. I explained my situation and he checked my arms, he told me that my muscles were definitely tight so that he would perform some work on my back, neck and arms. The whole thing took less than 10 minutes and when he was done I felt so much better, my arms didn't feel so tightly wound anymore. He recommended a few alignments before I could see the result so I plan on using my 4 visit groupon deal before I commit to the plan, but if he can lessen the pain in only 1 visit, what will he do in 4! Another plus are the hours. The fact that they are opened on weekends and you don't need an appointment is awesome! It means that I can go in when I have time. A year ago I used the services of this company's cheroprakter. We very often leave the country and for a long time. I bought a membership. 3 times I called them and said that we are leaving so that they freeze money. They told me: it's ok, nobody will charge you..As a result, they rented my card every month $ 69 during the almost a year), for a year I was there only 2 times), it's 17,25$ per visit. 34,50$ per 2 visits! 552$! They didn't return! I told them, you can check phone conversations.. that I called! see my numbers...I wrote a lot of mails...and called many many times. They all dump one another! Nobody let me talk to the manager! no one called me back! they paid rent and used this money a year. 552$! It's a lot! I would give this money for children donation.., or help parents... And no one returned anything to me. The service is awful, the attitude towards clients is horror. If you use this company, check the contracts ... and check everything...I'm sure, like me - a lot. they live at the expense of this money, using this money for personal gain.. read more

First visit here, had chronic low back and neck pain that has been so stiff the last few days and I walked out feeling like a new women! I was happy with my experience overall and look forward to continuing to treat here. I love that they have affordable treatment plans, I called around to other local chiropractic offices for their cash fees (I don't have insurance) and their initial visit was over $100 with follow up visits $65. I don't know about you but my pockets aren't that deep lol. I've put off going to get regular adjustments for too long and I'm excited to invest in taking better care of my health.
