I have been coming to this Joint for years with much success even though the doctors are constantly changing. Today o went in for a maintenance adjustment. Without even seeing me, the receptionist came to me with a card for Anthony Nguyen and said Dr Reid wants you to go see a full chiropractor. I saw Dr. Reid one time ever, weeks ago. Today he didn't even bother to talk to me and had receptionist send me on my way. This Joint just lost my family's business forever or at least there is an owner change or significant management change. (Seems like a kickback effort to me). read more

Haven't been taking care if myself and remembered that I had some sessions left here at this location. I called to see if my package was still valid. Thankfully, Mary answered all my questions and said I had open package and just had to update paperwork. Mart was there when I came in and was super friendly and thorough. Later I got to meet a chiropractor I hadn't met before, Dr. Livinggood. He was just as friendly and very funny. He made both my visit and my daughter as well. He gave us many good tips on our individual needs and we'll be back in a week. I feel so much better...I was In Quite a bit of pain. My mom has been infatuated with chiropractic therapy since years and the last two years I also started to develop a need for it. So ive been eyeing this place for quite some time. Especially since they advertise a $29 introductory rate. Long story short i was working out and heard three pops in my back, as Mike Tyson would say "i broke my back, thpinal." Lol So i decided to take them up on the $29 dollar. I started coming here almost a year ago for some overdue adjustments. I resisted the monthly membership and chose to pay as I visited. However, with a most recent bum knee and some middle back issues, I have been coming more often and bought a package whereby the price per visit is incredibly reasonable. The highlight is Dr. Ketrea Dillon, PC. She has incredible bench side manor and takes her time in understanding what your needs and issues are. She works hard at making sure you feel relief before you walk out the door. She gives topical advice on "after care" including stretching exercises and other ways to improve your mobility and overall wellness. I never feel rushed and I feel accountable for taking care of myself between visits. I've had great service here taking care of some lower back issues I've had. This is actually my first chiropractic experience since having a minor injury. The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is that I don't have any frame of reference. After trying some pain medications and stretching exercises recommended by my primary care doctor, I decided to try a chiropractor. This location is close to home and I found that after 3 sessions my pain is gone! It's clean, easy to get in and the staff are all very friendly and professional. Quick adjustment before golf. The Joint is really nice. No appointments, you just show up and get your adjustment. There's almost never a wait. Sometimes on the weekend maybe 10-20 minutes. But that's about it. It's nice to be in an out quickly and feeling straightened out! lol read more

Fibromyalgia sufferers can get Chiropractic care. I was diagnosed over ten years ago with fibro. It finally made sense why I did not like (read: HATED) massages or chiropractic manipulation. Now The Joint has the answer - the 'activator'. I had chronic knee pain, and all the specialist said nothing was wrong but the inflammation and pain would not go away. Acupuncture helped - but it costs. Thanks to my husband, I have been seeing a doctor at The Joint at 1960 in Houston for several weeks, and while it was excruciatingly painful to get my knees worked on initially, due to their inflammation and muscular stiffness needing some kneading (sorry!), they are now so much better. Pain is almost gone, swelling is gone, and treatment with the activator is easy and not painful in the least. Kneading is sometimes needed (sorry again!) and that has a level of discomfort, but is decreasing exponentially. A small device, the activator, which concentrates the chiropractic energy in a small area instead of spreading it to all my nerves and muscles, means that I can get adjusted weekly and my fibro is not aggravated at all. I will admit, I do ice my knees after. Dr. Patrick explained it to me. Dr. 'Cajun' is great. Thanks to them I am walking better and feeling better - and all the tension in my shoulders is easy to dispel. If you have suffered, and need help, call them. I started going to a chiropractor over 15 years ago. It took me several years to find this place after moving to Cypress. I was unhappy with the lack of personal attention I was getting at other clinics in this area SO glad that my sister recommended the JOINT. The membership is great. Dr. Dillon... she could be at cypress on Thursdays or 1960 any other day but she truly knows her stuff. "angel hands"... I have suffer with migraines and fibromyalgia and her caring disposition and adjustments have been God's sent. She has been working hard to find chiropractors like herself to fill positions on several locations but I will fallow her where she is till we get at Cypress someone closer to Dr. Dillon. I no longer have to rely on yucky prescription drugs for either case. Can now go back to 5 mile runs everyday... BUYER BEWARE!! I went to The Joint in early December and was in the chair waiting for my Dr. Another chiropractor came out and told me my Dr. wasn't there but that she read my file and could do the treatment. I thought to myself, well ok, I'm here and she will do what my regular Dr. does since she read my file. Since I already have some spinal issues, my original Dr. performed more of gentle traction stretches and used the activator instead of thrusting maneuvers. The new Dr. used significant forceful thrusting compressions and I was so shocked I was protesting and asking her to stop but she kept going. To me, it was unneccesarily rough. I feel like I was accosted by her. How could she have possibly read my Dr.'s notes and treated me that way? I can only conclude that she did not read the notes or that there were no detailed notes for her to read in the first place. At any rate, she injured my back. Chiropractic manuevers are not a "one size fits all" practice. I feel like my back could be fractured from the Dr.'s aggressive thrusting. I am so disappointed in the treatment I received from her. I had high hopes of the chiropractic treatments helping my back to heal, but now instead must deal with the real possibility of a fracture at the hands of this chirpractor. I know I signed a release but have not even received at least a courtesy call from the franchise owner, who I emailed about the incident. My primary care Dr. prescribed a steroid pack to address the acute pain, but I still have pain any will soon be getting an MRI to determine the damage to my spine. I believe that these chiropractors, even though having a release in hand, should not injure their patients. Be careful, or better yet, go the medical insurance route so that if anything does happen to you, you have legal recourse. I've only met with silence. read more
