Came in for my first visit and was disappointed and overwhelmed. I arrived with some neck and shoulder pain and left with even more pain and a trip to the Emergency Room. The tall Caucasian guy who was supposed to do my adjustment wound up dislocating my ribs from the cartilage and four days later it's still in as much pain as day one of him doing it. I can't take a deep breath without it hurting or laugh let alone get proper sleep at night, because it hurts to lay on my right side and on my back. Usually a chiropractor would do more of an assessment of my body such as x-rays before completely man handling me to my breaking point. I will not be going back. read more

This is my second month as a regular here and it has been life changing. I saw an ad on tiktok for $29 for first time patients, which is like 1/4 the cost of a massage so I figured it was worth a try and I'm glad I did. I used to wake up every single morning barely able to lift myself out of bed because of my back locking up, I haven't woken up in pain since I've been coming. My hips used to be really tight as well and would almost seize up if I bent the wrong way, but my hip pain is completely gone. The dr is very friendly and personable and all of the girls who work the front desk all have bubbly dispositions as well, I always feel welcomed. Not bad! All FOLLOWING VISITS are about 10mins with minimal wait! Super convenient with later hours and open on Saturdays. Came here for a routine check up. First time at this particular so hoped for the best. Got checked in and service was good. After I finished my paperwork not much of a wait the Dr saw me pretty quick. Got my back readjusted and felt great. Only back-draw is that they don't take insurance they only do FSA/HSA. SNAP, CRACKLE, POP The title sounds as if I was talking about the Rice Krispies cereal I grew up eating. I work in an office where I sit down staring at the desktop and typing on the keyboard to process documents. As with most people my sitting posture at work isn't the greatest. Before COVID I would go to dance classes twice a week not only to relieve stress from work but also to loosen my body due to my sitting posture at work. Ever since COVID instead of working in the office in San Francisco I've been working from home in the East Bay. In addition most of the dancing classes in San Francisco were through Zoom. (I choose not to enroll in those classes through Zoom after work.) Since March of last year my neck and upper back have been tight due to the lack of exercise. About two months ago was the first time I ever went to a chiropractor. Normally I would go to a masseuse to get a massage to relieve the tightness on my neck and upper back. I wanted to try to go chiropractor to try a different experience. I was nervous when I went to a chiropractor for the first time, but I'm glad that my first experience with a chiropractor was at The Joint Chiropractors. The first time I came here after having my neck and upper back cracked I really felt loose in those areas. I've been to this location 5 times where I would go here once a week. The chiropractors here make you relax that you can trust them cracking your bones. Even though each session is short your body feels loosened. I visited this establishment on Monday Sept 30 around 5:45 pm. I was at my moms, slept wrong and desperately needed an adjustment. the "Dr" berated me for coming after a year and said that i'm already too late to helping myself he also told me 2 things that really irritated me 1) "what's more important to you working, or your health?" after I told him that I couldn't commit to weekly visits due to my work and being a mother to 4 kids... my response? SIR IN THIS ECONOMY HOW CAN I AFFORD TO COME HERE WITHOUT A JOB? and 2) "next time you come and the lapse is longer than a week I won't treat you" .. at this point I made a mental note to myself to never visit again. he also continued to ask if I didn't listen to other doctors... Do not go here! It's cheap for a reason! It felt like the guy I was with didn't know at all what he was doing. Every chiropractor place that I've been to they tell you to breathe before they perform the pop stuff and they didn't ask me to breathe in and out once and so I was super tensed up every time they did it and made it a lot worse. I mentioned different pain problems and they only attempted to adjust my back not my neck or knees like I said was hurting I'm lucky they didn't try bc they prob would have made it worse. read more

Even if you contact the joint corp's HEATHER, she will not respond to you at all and never give you back your money. This place is by far the worst chiropractic business I've visited in the past 15 years. In the past 60 days, I've come during their listed hours of operations and they were closed 3 of those times unexpectedly. I loved the idea of walk in whenever as a working mom with a young toddler and no help. There's been numerous times I've had to take my son with me and today, I finally had someone to help watch my son so I rushed over and made it by 1:57pm to check in. The front desk wouldn't check me in because it's almost their lunch time and they requested that I'd come back instead of just taking me when it takes 3 mins to get me adjusted and there was no lunch hour listed on weekends! On top of them not being available during their listed hours when I've gone, their skills with adjusting is very subpar. 80% of the time they can't crack my lower back and I don't feel a difference once I leave. Good spot if you want to get adjusted and cracked but wouldn't recommend if you have actual pain and need to be assessed. Came in due to hip pain filled out their form and once with the doctor he had me lay down and asked right away if I ever been adjusted (I have) looked over the form acknowledged that I put down I came for hip pain. He had me turn around cracked my back a few times, cracked my elbow and fingers. Then said we were done lol didn't ask a single question about where it was hurting, why, literally nothing just cracked me a few times then walked me to the front and told the receptionist he recommends a wellness plan for me which he literally said to the 3 patients before me while I was waiting for my appointment. Seems like they just wanna get as many people in and out as possible throughout the day and get them on a monthly plan which is a 2 month commitment with it being $89 the first month and $99 the 2nd month. I was in pain for years until I decide to try it I'm sciatica pain free and coming every week to a nice adjustment and I love it

I had been waiting for a long time for this location to open, as it is close to home. I had been going to the Berkeley location before. I had injured my hip and have flat feet which has caused a lot of pain. I am happy to report that I came out w a good amount of relief and for that I am thankful. Aside from that I will no longer come to this location. I was put w Dr. Bob who began haggling me and pressuring me into high priced packages so hard I felt like I was in a pyramid scheme presentation. As SOON as I sat down. He went from telling me that I needed to come in once a month then changed it to 2-3 times a month then said I would have to come in several days immediately following our adjustment. He kept telling me it was his professional opinion and that he was just trying to give a good deal. He was so set on getting me to commit to a package that it felt like we were arguing. After the 5th or 6th time of telling him that I need to stick to my budget I wanted to walk out but was in pain so I didn't. Bc of this aggressive energy I felt awkward during the adjustment. When I went to the front to pay he followed me to the front where he hovered over me while I was texting to pay and still trying to show me packages. Wooo! He backed off after I gave him a look but I have never experienced this before! What is great about Berkeley is they tell you about packages and the price differences but they are not pressuring you.
