I joined the Joint Chiropractic on May the 8th due to extreme low back pain and stiffness in my neck. I am a disabled vet with degenerative disc in L4 and L5 and sciatica. My first adjustment was with Dr. "B". To be honest I was hurting more after the visit than before I walked in . He did not real adjustment just jerked my neck and back hoping he was doing something. I left thinking well maybe I would feel better the next day but it was much worse. I went back the next week and Dr. "B" was the only ciropractor on duty and got the same results. On my visit the following week I asked the young lady at the desk could I look to see who was in the back and she said yes and when I did I saw Dr. "B" and another Dr. I told the receptonist I would wait for the other Dr. He was on the first table when you walk back. He was awesome took his time actually made some adjustments and I felt great when I was leaving. The next three weeks when I went in Dr. B was the only one on duty so I left without treatment. This Monday the 22nd I received a text from the Clinic stating I had missed the past 3 weeks and should come in for a treatment. I didnt miss I just didn't want to be treated by Dr. B. Today I was driving home and stopped and unfortunatly he was the only one on duty so I gave it one more try. He adjusted my neck then started to adjust my back and put all of his weight (not a small man) on one spot in my upper back and I swear I almost passed out from the pain. I got up and told him I was done and that he was the reason I had not used my visits the past three weeks and his response to me was he was off on Thursday and I should come back then. Thats GREAT customer service let me tell you!. I asked the nice young lady at the desk for the manager contact information and I was given an email address which I emailed and asked for a call back. That was over 3 hours ago. Other than the receptionist and the other Dr the customer service is terrible. Is a numbers game, how many patients can they run through there a day. If you go DO NOT USE DR. B he is the one that uses the last table towards the restroom. Make sense why hes last. read more

Their cancelation policy is nonexistent. You can walk in and cancel your account but they will still charge you and make no attempt to contact you even after filing the mandatory paperwork. read more

I made an appointment for an adjustment, drove down there 1. the receptionist asked me my drivers license (I was not using insurance, paying cash, then (in front of other patients) asked for Spelling of my name and DOB, (HIPAA violation). When I said that is a HIPAA violation she said I was talking too loud, I told her I am VERY hard of hearing and often don't hear myself talk. They then asked me to leave. Quit the Richardson location due to the front desk girl. The girl working here is super nice, respectful and amazing at customer service! Chiros are good at both but if you want to be treated well from the get-go, Allen is the location to go to. read more

Dr. Wooten is one of the most confident chiropractors I've had the pleasure to be adjusted by, and I've gone to MANY! It wasn't painful to get adjusted and it wasn't slow or nerve wracking, and I feel better already. Went today before work and the lower adjustments were good but the the main issue i was having was with my neck and shoulder and I at work less than 3 hours later and it's Killing me. She was too timid when adjusting my neck area. So I will have to get up early before work again tomorrow and go to another location and get adjusted again. read more

The Join in Allen is my favorite location! I find the best chiropractors here and they're very thorough. With a chiropractor in my family, I can tell who's experienced and thorough. I feel other places may be too quick and try to flow people in & out to get more customers in. The doctors here answer my questions and have good recommendations for my body. I recently checked out this Joint location after getting an email about their grand opening. If you've never heard of the Joint, it's a chiropractor which conveniently stays open late and on weekends and you don't need an appointment. Just walk in and get seen. They don't do x-rays here either. Saturday morning was not very busy and there was only one person ahead of me in line. They had food and drinks set out for the grand opening and a wheel to spin to win a prize - fun! I didn't spend much time waiting because they had two chiropractors working! Dr. Smith called me back and listened to my complaints. He also was able to review notes on my chart from the other Joint location I go to, which was great. He worked on several areas that were bothering me with several different methods. He took his time to make sure I felt better, despite people multiplying in the waiting area. When I got up from the table, I felt so much better. I will definitely come back to see Dr. Smith at this location. The other doctor looked like he knew what he was doing as well. The front desk girls were very friendly and sweet, I felt very welcomed. I liked that they had a schedule posted on the counter to see which doctors work when. One note, hopefully they will reduce the amount of fragrance (candles, air freshener) which the receptionist said was to mask the fresh paint smell. read more

Like this joint more than the others. This one just opened a year or so. This joint located in the shopping center next to the Staples is quick and easy to get to. Their hours are pretty accessible. Dr. Barry Smith is a great chiropractor and is very direct and does a great job with corrections. He helped improve my issues with shoulder and neck inflammation sleeping ackwardly. I come a couple times a year so I rather just drop in for their $35 fee. read more

I wouldn't recommend going if you've had the covid-19 vaccine. My first time to this office, and the second question I was asked was am I vaccinated which led to a very awkward situation. I was told I wasn't able to get my neck adjusted due to "risk of blood clots" with the vaccine and the chiropractor being uncomfortable with adjusting my neck manually since I've been vaccinated. I asked what the research has shown regarding chiropractic adjustments and a risk of throwing a blood clot for someone who has had the vaccine months ago and have had no concerns for having a blood clot. I was given a run around that there's research out there about the vaccine causing clots. which has been a rare side effect, but still don't know the risk of getting an adjustment? I also asked if I shouldn't get adjusted being a 35 year old woman on birth control, which puts me at a higher risk for blood clots but no, this isn't an issue. Dr. Nathan Wooten adjusted my neck and back only hours ago and the irritating stiffness in my neck feels so much better. By this time of the evening, I would have already downed a few Tylenol/Aspirin/Caffeine combo for the headache and pain in my neck; however, I have not needed it this evening. I'll have to go back for additional adjustments until I'm back to my norm, but so far, so good. I was a bit tense, but he managed to make adjustments around my tension. I will be going back. Don't do it. I spent $40 for a 2 lb grandma to "adjust" my back only to be in more pain later. They didn't even try to work with me.

My experience was AWFUL. I have never been adjusted before and I told Dr. Smith that. No major back or neck problems but I train a lot so wanted to make sure my body was in perfect condition. I believe Dr. Smith was way too rough on someone for their first time and his negligence has led to a neck injury. It has been 7 days after the adjustment and I am still in SO much pain, especially my neck. The worst part is when I called to let him know how I was feeling, he was insensitive and egotistical. There was no remorse, no empathy that I had a bad experience with him. He simply told me to come back in or he would send me to someone else. I told him I was uncomfortable to come back in because he hurt me the first time and was basically like, "OK, don't come back." I probably would have given him another shot if his demeanor was better but it wasn't. He doesn't care about the actual well being of the people he sees. He just wants to make money and get them in and out as quickly as possible. I truly think he injured my neck, as its been swollen and sore for days. He has set my physical training back weeks and I feel like I have lost what I worked so hard to gain. I will NEVER recommend The Joint, especially Dr. Smith, to anyone. To make matters worse, I asked for the management to call me - someone higher than Dr. Smith and no one returned my phone call. Save your health and money by going somewhere else. read more

This place\location is as good as it gets. Clean atmosphere, professional staff, and great service or spine solutions. There is hardly ever a wait and if it is then it is maybe five minutes at the most. Dr. Smith is the greatest. Not only does he adjust with care specific to your body's needs, but he is caring and concerned with actually making you better. He provides home remedies as well as tips to prevent further harm to cause one more pain. I recommend this company as well as this location specifically to all that inquire. I went in last week for the first time. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The downside was that I had to wait almost an hour. While the walk-in nature of this place sounded great in theory, I'm not sure how big of a fan I will be in the long run. I decided to go here primarily because of the location and the "no insurance/ lower fixed prices" aspect. I'm on a high deductible plan which means paying out of pocket until I hit my high deductible so the pricing was a big seller for me. Despite having to wait so long, the doctor was very thorough with my exam and adjustment - I didn't feel rushed through AT ALL. Because the place is so new, I'm guessing a large percentage of clients are first time visitors which makes the wait time a little longer. Hopefully that will shift and/or they will add an additional doctor as business dictates. This facility does only adjustments - no physical therapy/ heat/ massage, etc. The nature of my problems would really benefit from some heat therapy prior to adjustment but I'm going to give them a few visits to see if they can get my issues under control with just the adjustments. read more

They went multiple times over a two month period and now just visit for maintenance. Dr. Barry Smith is a great chiropractor! For a quick in-and-out type of clinic, he was very thorough in his assessment and his therapy. He explained everything before and after the treatment. Although I've had chiropractors (for 5 years) tried to help with my headaches via adjustments, Dr. Smith was the first to link the cause of my migraine to my teeth grinding. I was impressed! Even though I will have to wait and see if it is in fact the cause of my headaches, I was blown away that he was the first to have made that connection. The first session was a bit longer because of paperwork on medical history and him explaining a few things about the clinic, but subsequent visits were pretty quick. If you don't have time to wait, I advise that you pick up a form and fill it out at your leisure and then bring it in with your first appointment. However, when people start finding out about this little gem of a place, the wait time may increase. That is the down side to it and that's what comes with no appointment needed type of clinic. They do not file insurance but their prices are pretty good, even better than when I was filing with insurance with another doctor. You can also pay via your Flex or Health Spending card. Take my advice and go give this clinic a try. read more

The Joint in Allen is a very professional office. When you walk in the ladies are so friendly and inviting you in to the office. Dr Smith is very friendly and professional. I felt very comfortable with his explanation of what kind of adjustment that he would be making I have a tendency to tighten up right before the adjustment and he has been able to work with me and make my adjustment easy and complete. I have been to several Joint offices and will only go from now on to let Dr. Smith make my adjustments. I have called a few a few times when I first started at this office to verify that he was in. I HIGHLY recommend this office to anyone that needs a first class Doctor for a fantastic adjustment. I can't say enough of good/great things about Dr. Smith. read more

The Joint in Allen rocks! What a unique business idea; affordable chiropractic healthcare on demand. Dr.Smith is an awesome chiropractor. My initial consultation was comprehensive. And every time I go to see him, he's positive and goes right to the point of my trouble at that time. He Even referred me to an Arrosti practitioner which he does not do. Dr. Smith is an effective chiropractor. His receptionist is also great. She remembers people by their face. And she is pleasant and professional. Sometimes there is a wait to see the doctor but when you can come in anytime between 10 AM to 7 PM Monday through Friday and from 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday 10 AM to 4 PM on Sunday it's much more convenient than a regular chiropractor's office. The Joint is an outstanding value. They do not accept health insurance so they give you a very fair price for each visit. You can buy monthly packages and he often has free adjustment days or free adjustment coupons. read more

The doctor did a good job however I did not realize when I purchased the 69.00 deal it expired that same month. I thought I was prepaying for 4 visits. The miscommunication makes me not want to come back. Not good customer service in my opinion. I will find another place! read more
