Started seeing Dr. John Perriton 6 months ago due to recommendation from my neurologist to see a chiropractor/physical therapist for my migraines. If you are on Medicare, it is important to know that Medicare only covers manual manipulation of the spine. It "doesn't cover other services or tests a chiropractor orders, including X-rays, massage therapy, and acupuncture (unless the acupuncture is for the treatment of chronic low back pain)." Prosper Chiropractic DID NOT provide this information to me before I was treated. I found Dr. Sullivan on the Medicare website and checked reviews on Yelp before calling for an appointment. During that call they asked which insurance I have, which is Medicare and United Health Care. However, I did not check their website before calling, which noted that Medicare only covers manual manipulation. When I arrived for the appointment they asked for and copied my ID, Medicare, and Insurance cards. The doctor provided manual manipulation and recommended electronic stimulation, to which I agreed. AFTER treatment, I was asked to sign a form to approve the other procedures that were not covered, and the cost. When I asked why I was not provided the form before treatment, I was told the doctor was supposed to have me sign the form (tossed him right under the bus). Anyway, $140 for the treatment, and considering, Dr. Sullivan was recommending continued treatment for a couple of months, the cost would have been significant. Also, my HSA debit card was mysteriously rejected, which has never before happened (thousands in the account), and they also said my credit card was rejected, which I use for everything. They ran the credit card again and it miraculously worked the 2nd time (apparently, they also forgot to tell me I was supposed to bring cash). All that said, I was very satisfied with the treatment provided by the doctor, and the technician, Eddie; the front office staff, not at all. Anyway, lesson learned. Always ask what treatments may potentially be provided, and the costs of those treatments, BEFORE being treated. read more

So thankful to have found Dr. Perriton and can't say enough great things about him! We initially saw him for a sports injury my 13-year-old had that wasn't getting better on its own. The doctor and staff here are very friendly and otherwise professional, so that is not the issue, however there is one thing I could not condone; A lack of wearing masks during COVID despite being a medical provider. When it comes to healthcare, I could literally not care less what your political affiliation is, so that is not what I'm referencing nor am I inferring I know what party they favor. However, as someone who is high-risk due to having an autoimmune condition, when the office manager tells me that she doesn't like wearing a mask and so she doesn't not require her staff to, I'm floored. And I have seen this issue with them multiple times I have visited, so this was not a one-time encounter. My health and risk of COVID exposure should not be up to the matter of preference. You are a medical professional in a clinical setting. You should follow CDC guidelines on PPE to avoid exposure and transmission to patients you encounter. Full stop. You are absolutely free to make these types of decisions for yourself outside of the clinical setting, however please be mindful that your lack of a mask in the clinic essentially tells me that your comfort is more important than my health. I don't think that I have done a Yelp review before, but the staff at Prosper Chiropractic truly deserves one for the outstanding care that they provided me. I had lower back fusion surgery back in 2015. Recovered well and then towards the end of 2019 I started having issues similar to the ones that I had prior to my surgery. If I went back to my surgeon, I know he would have put me on pain meds and muscle relaxers. Not really a solution. I went in and met with Dr. McClellan. Told him what was going on and we started treatment. After my third visit I was pretty much back to my normal active self. The rest of the staff is friendly and great to work with. Hurt my back picking up some 5 gallon water bottles the wrong way. I thought I'd be able to work it out with stretching and medication; so went on a scheduled work trip - bad idea. While away from TX I went to an emergency room and a physical therapist - but their advise and interventions didn't work (actually made it worse). Four days later got back to TX and a few days later - working with Dr. Perriton - I was able to walk and sleep without pain. The office is clean and well-structured.
