I have had a very good experience with the Jewelry Exchange and the store manager, Joseph. I am one of those shoppers who spends a lot of time doing research and learning about items before I purchase anything. So, before going to the Jewelry Exchange, I went to pretty much all the other big name jewelry stores in the Twin Cities and had done quite a bit of browsing online. By the time I got to the Jewelry Exchange, I knew exactly what I wanted, and I had a budget that I was not going to go over. I also knew I wanted a GIA certified diamond, so while shopping I would always be comparing apples to apples regarding Cut, Clarity and Color. I'll be honest, I was a little skeptical of Jewelry Exchange at first considering its relative size and somewhat obscure location. I got over that skepticism in the store pretty quick. Everyone in the store is super friendly, and they showed me several diamonds, none of which met my specifications, but they said they could order some in, and would call me when they arrived. Within a few days, they called and said they had a few diamonds that I could come in and look at. They brought in 3 diamonds, 1 of which was exactly what I was looking for, and within my budget. One of the diamonds they also brought in was VERY similar in size to what I was looking for, and substantially less expensive than the one I ended up buying, so I thought the fact that they showed me an option that was way less expensive, and still pretty close to what I wanted, illustrated that they were not just trying to get as much money out of me as possible. It made me feel good about the purchase, and considering how much shopping I had done before going to Jewelry Exchange, I knew I was getting a very good price. After picking out the diamond, we got to work on creating a custom setting. We exchanged emails back and forth with pictures of what I was looking for. After a couple weeks, they sent me an artistic rendering of the final product, with the exact measurements. I asked them a ton of questions, which was probably annoying for them, but they answered every single one very quickly. We tweaked the measurements a little bit, and another set of pictures were sent. Finally, when I was satisfied, the ring was made. It took a couple more weeks, and they called me when it arrived in the store. The setting ended up being a little less expensive than they quoted me, so that was a nice surprise. And, needless to say, the ring looks absolutely stunning. After purchase, I brought the ring to an independent appraiser who is not affiliated with the Jewelry Exchange in any way, and it appraised for about 22% more than I paid. The other stores couldn't even bring in a loose diamond for me that was within my budget, but at the Jewelry Exchange, Joseph was able to get me out the door with the diamond and setting, under budget, without me having to sacrifice any of my specifications. If you are like me, and want to do your homework, then go to the other stores and compare their prices to The Jewelry Exchange. I know you'll come to the same conclusion as me. If you want to save time, then skip the other stores and just go talk to Joseph; you won't regret it. read more

July 16, 20I8 I am GIA educated (GG) , so I know my gems and jewelry. I purchased an engagement ring set from the Jewelry Exchange-Eagan about a month ago. It was beautiful--channel set, baguettes, and princess cut, and I had a moissanite from a previous ring set into it. I loved the ring, but after a couple weeks of careful wear a stone fell out. (unfortunately it isn't uncommon for baguettes---a local jeweler refuses to even sell them.) When I returned it, I was told it needed to be sent to corporate. I was nervous about possible being accused of abusing the ring, (which I did not do) but that was not the case. My intent was that if they could fix the ring I informed Joseph that I would like to buy two side rings to go with it, when it came back. Corporate came back stating that the ring was of poor design, even though it was beautiful, and they would no longer even sell that design. They would have fixed it, but it would have cost way too much, and Joseph told me he felt it wasn't worth it for me, because the chances are the loss of stones could happen again. I was given full credit for the ring, and of course, I looked at other sets. I found one that I truly love. It is a diamond band and and graduated engagement band. these are of the set of 'high grade' stones. I reviewed these with a loop and they are very white and good clarity stones. I was then going to have my moissanite put in, but my husband said that it deserved a bigger stone, so I found another larger and more beautiful moissanite (Forever One) from another source. Called Joseph and asked him to hold off setting and sizing with the first moissanite, till I got my new stone. Today I went in and had it all set and sized, and I am absolutely thrilled. I have also ordered a matching band to go on the other side of the center ring (that will take approximately 6-8 wks as custom). Can't wait. My set will be like, wedding band, engagement ring, and anniversary band in one. The service I received from Joseph and all the others (I apologize for not remembering your names), was very good. It does pay to also educate yourself prior to visiting any jewelry store as to grading of diamonds, prices, etc. I also attempted to find my style in many jewelry websites, and found none that are like mine. However, I did compare similar sets and carat weight, and the advertising that the Jewelry Exchange pricing is lower, is true. I was amazed at what I paid for my set (considering it's quality of diamonds) and discovered much poorer quality and double the pricing. Very satisfied. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! I cannot repeat that statement enough. Their business practice is to take your money and run. I had a ring custom made and when I received it, I could not believe how poor the quality was. They will stall enough to push you out of the return/refund window so they have every right to keep your money. This is exactly what happened to me. The employees were everything but professional and knowledgeable. I had done hours upon hours of research on how to choose a perfect diamond. At that point, I knew more than what the employees did as I was presented with the most awful looking diamonds and nowhere near what I had told them that I was looking for. As I stood in the store looking at diamonds, I witnessed the other employees talking bad about me and laughing. It was completely obvious. On another occasion, I was welcomed into the store by an employee eating a bag of potato chips! When I did an exchange from the original ring that was purchased for my new, custom made ring, $200 magically went missing. I was told that it was an even exchange and I received a $40 gift card. The price difference was $240 and I have yet to receive an explanation about where the $200 went. Being extremely skeptical about the quality of my ring, I went to have it appraised. The appraiser wouldn't even do the appraisal because he stated that there is no way I should keep the ring. The prongs are not securely holding the diamonds into place, all of the diamonds look dead and dull, and the halo was made crooked! He stated that I would only spend the rest of my life repeatedly replacing all of the diamonds that would fall out. Don't even think about buying from The Jewelry Exchange. They are a company of crooks and will do everything that they can to take your money and give you a cheap product. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere, especially when you're looking for a lifelong purchase. I was duped into buying and completely regret my $4,800 mistake. OK, this is going to sound sappy, but it's true. When my wife and I married things were financially tight, so we only got gold bands. Now 6 years later, I am still very much in love with her and we are doing much better. Plus, she is now pregnant! In my mind saying "I love you" was not enough, so I decided that it was time to get her a diamond engagement ring for Christmas. I live 2 hours from the store, but had visited several other stores first, but the other stores did not seem to have the same quality jewelry for that price. So I would drive the 2 hours one way (round trip 4 hours). I actually visited the store several times trying to decide on the perfect ring and each time I was waited on by Amir B. He was very knowledgeable and patient during my several visits showing me anything I wanted to see. I even changed my mind after my first selection, that was paid for, but he very graciously helped me with my second selection. I finally got the perfect ring and had it home for Christmas. Needless to say my wife cried with happiness when she received it. (Rude to say here, but I am kind of a god at my home since then.) When we returned to the store later to have my wife fitted for the ring, Amir remembered me and came to see us. He was so kind, he had the custom jeweler stop what he was doing, to care for us. He sized the ring and change the band to yellow gold to match my wife's wedding band ALL IN ABOUT 1 HOUR. He knew we had drove the 2 hours and he didn't want us to have to drive back again another day. He treated us so well, and I can't say enough good things about the great customer service we received here. My boyfriend and I stopped in to check out Jewelry Exchange but did not expect to have such a great experience! We were greeted by Joshua right away and he asked what brought us in. I told him engagement rings and he told us he would be able to give us a way better price than the competition. We started to look at rings and he asked if I had anything in mind and what my boyfriends budget was. I showed him a picture and he went and got a diamond and a band to show me what he had. The ring was very pretty and he explained about the stone and everything. As I kept looking we looked at soliatire rings and he explained the differences between the ring he showed me first and the solitaire rings. I was not sure if I wanted a round diamond or princess cut diamond so he had a co worker grab a princess cut diamond and showed me different options for that. The whole time he was very patient and answered all of our questions, explained about the diamonds quality and clarity, and showed me lots of styles and I never felt rushed. Once I picked out my ring and band we started looking at rings for my boyfriend. My boyfriend had lots of questions about the ring he would end up getting but Joshua understood all the questions answered them all and talked about his own experiences with his rings and his wifes. We we're going to buy our rings infront of eachothe but it was such a great deal and we ended getting my ring for half the cost of my boyfriends budget. They made my ring in 45 mins and overall it was just nice to be at a store that cared about answering all our questions, showed us options, and never rushed us. I had such a great experience here. We were greeted right away and asked what brought us in. We were helped by Joshua who was very nice, patient, and explained everything we had questions about. My ring actually ended up being half of my boyfriends budget and I got to pick out what I wanted in a ring. He helped me find a ring for my boyfriend explained the differences and my boyfriend had lots of questions and Joshua answered all of them and even talked about his own experiences with his rings and wife's ring. And one of the coolest parts was that they made my ring in 45 mins so we just shopped for my boyfriends ring while that was getting done. I stopped in store to look for a loose diamond. 1.5-2 CT to put into a basket setting to wear as a pendant. Winter greeted me and helped me with choosing the stone. She had asked me if I wanted to also look at Lab created diamonds. I said sure. She brought out from back the first stone, natural dimaond. very pretty, then she went and brought out a lab created diamond. Both very pretty. Adrian , another associate would pop in and out of our conversation, he too would answer questions for me. I asked how long to get it put into a setting. I live over an hour away(north of the cities) and was already dreading the drive back to store to pick up the diamond when finished setting. Both Adrian and Winter said they were backed up a few days, just being after the holidays. They said they would keep safely in the safe till whenever I can make it back. So I pulled the trigger and went with the natural diamond. Winter started all the paperwork as I was glancing around the store, I had asked Adrian to clean my wedding band. He was so sweet and said of course. Now Winter and I had been working on paperwork for about 10-15 minutes. As we were finishing up, Adrian walked back to me to give back my ring. OMG! He went and put in front of me on the counter....the diamond set into the basket. He asked his technichian/jeweler if he could set the diamond so I could leave with it and not have to drive back that long drive.His name is Long. I couldn't beleive it. I had a great experience at the Jewelry Exchange, which compelled me to sign up on Yelp just so I could write this review. After getting engaged, we shopped around everywhere for our rings, but had a difficult time finding quality diamond rings that were not way over our budget. So, after seeing all the commercials we decided to check one more place: the Jewelry Exchange. We were immediately greeted by Joseph, the manager. He patiently spent at least 3 hours with us just to show us all of our options. After we tried out all of the ring styles and picked out the bands that we liked best, Joseph showed us tons of loose diamonds of various shapes and sizes in the settings we had chosen. He was also 100% honest in pointing out when certain diamonds had inclusions or discolorations that would be noticeable and ugly. He also never tried to "up-sell" us by showing us more expensive diamonds that we couldn't afford. We didn't expect to be ready to make a purchase that day, so he wrote down our selections and let us take pictures, and told us to take our time and think about it. It was the first place where we felt ZERO PRESSURE to buy on the spot. We did leave, but just ended up grabbing a quick lunch and went right back to purchase our rings! They also service your ring for a lifetime, so I go back every time I'm in the area to have them clean it for free and make sure that the prongs are holding the diamonds in tight! I lost one of two stones of my wedding ring at work (casino) never to be found. We got the ring from my mother-in-law, one stone was theirs and the other his great-great grandparents, who we found out later were married the same day as us~lot's of sentimental value! The ring isn't huge but beautiful, 1/4 carat each stone and beautiful design. We live about 2 hours north of the cities, I checked many jewelers within a 100 mile radius, (should also add I am a horrible ring owner as 6 of 8 prongs were in bad shape and almost lost the other stone) the estimates i received were 630 (lowest) to 1800 to replace a 1/4 carat and 8 prongs. We have daughter in college and in process of moving, could not consider replacing at this time. I happened to see ad on TV for Jewelry Exchange, called them this morning, told them size and situation, he gave me an estimate, and also said probably could be done as i wait.........all others 2 weeks and shipped out! I got there at 3pm today, they were true to their phone estimate, and their repair/replacement genius had me on the road by 4:30pm!!!!!!! They showed me and i wanted to cry, all new prongs, beautiful stone and cleaned like brand new~~needless to say would recommend them to everyone!!!! I had written a glowing review of the Jewelry Exchange in Eagan but for some reason when I went back to edit it I forgot to rate it. Thus I am writing another review, as cannot locate my original to edit it. I was very pleased with the service I received in June/July. I purchased a beautiful ring and truly loved it, but a few weeks later a diamond had fallen out and lost. I returned the ring to them and they gave me full 'credit' for the cost as is their policy when you purchase from them. I am a GG and AJP from the GIA so I know my stones and diamonds. That particular designed ring will no longer be offered thru them because of the possible issue that this could happen again. My husband and I then purchased a beautiful wedding set, and ordered an additional matching band to go with the set, and as this would be custom I had to wait approx a month to get it. I just picked up the band, and it matches beautifully to the existing set. I just love it. I really enjoyed the service from the personnel at the Jewelry Exchange in Eagan and Joseph was very helpful, as were the others (I apologize for forgetting names). Also, I did do some research into pricing thru numerous other jewelry businesses and I found that the price for my ring was more than 1/2 the cost that I saw elsewhere. 5 stars doesn't even begin to touch how amazing my experience was with the Jewelry Exchange. It all started when my husband and I were looking at purchasing my anniversary band. I found a ring on their website but I needed the ring in rose gold. A call was made to confirm that the special order could be done. The issues started when the ring was supposed to be delivered. I was told that the ring would arrive on 10/26/17. I called on the 26th and was told that the plane had been delayed and the ring would arrive on the 27th by Joseph and he would call me right away the next morning. On the 27th, Joseph called me to state the ring was not there. He was amazing! He called the shipment department and kept me in the loop of all the developments. He had my ring overnighted for delivery on the 28th. When my husband and I went in for the ring today Joseph found that one of the diamonds had fallen out. He went above and beyond and checked not only my new ring but my other 2 rings to ensure that all the diamonds were secure. He also sized my ring on the house and sautered all my rings on the house. The level of customer service that he provided for me was above and beyond all of my expectations. My husband and I our customers for life!!! My boyfriend and I went into the Jewelry Exchange in search of an engagement ring and were NOT disappointed. We were greeted right away by Jean who gave us the run down of the history of the Jewelry Exchange and got us started looking at rings based on our preferences. Joshua (Josh) spent the majority of the time with us showing us a variety of bands, speaking to the qualities of each until we found just the right setting. Based on our budget, Josh brought us a variety of stones to look at. Joseph (the store manager) popped in and out, bringing us different stones as well. Josh and Joseph kept working with us until we found the perfect stone for us. My advice would be don't stop looking at stones until you find just the right one. Trust me, you'll know - I got a little teary when I saw it. Not only did they help us select the stone but they were able to set it and size the ring that very day! Within hours we were walking out of the store, ring in hand with very big smiles on our face and we came in under budget!. A few years back I helped a stranded motorist out of a parking lot and it took me about an hour. He thanked me and told me his name was Joseph and he was the manager of the jewelry exchange and if I eve needed anything to just stop in. A year later I had an odd request. I came to him with a pink agate I had carved into a heart and needed it set. Not only did he remember my name but he kept his word and only charged me the price of the gold. When it came time to purchase the big ring for my bride to be I only thought of one place to go. I wanted a custom ring of my own design and I already had an heirloom stone. He spent quite a bit of time with me going over the design and the process. He was always prompt with phone calls and none of the staff was ever pushy. He even steared me away from the more expensive platinum I had originally wanted, because it was more expensive to resize and a list of other reasons. I was fully satisfied with the final result. Another important thing I want to point out was the trust I had in him immediately. Even though I wasn't dropping a huge amount of money he still made me feel like his most important client and I never got that bullshitty fake salesmen feeling. My husband and I decided to visit The Jewerly Exchange just to see what they had to offer. We have been to other jewelry stores only to be disappointed by the customer service and they all had the same style, nothing stood out. The Jewerly Exchange was awesome!! They don't pressure you or follow you around, they simply stand by and smile and when you are ready they help you. They have all sorts of cuts and styles and the quality is exceptional. Cyndy stood by and waited until we were ready to see some of the rings. She was so helpful and so attentive and answered all our questions. Cyndy made sure we looked at all the rings we needed to see and regardless of how many times I tried on a ring, (and believe me, I tried on the same ring 2-3 x's and kept trying on others) but she was patient and kind and just superb!! I absolutely love people who give 100% to customer service and Cyndy did just that :) I bought the most gorgeous diamond ring and my husband had his ring custom ordered. From the time I walked in until the moment I left, they were so attentive to me. I'd lost my original wedding ring a year ago. I was pregnant and couldn't fit it for a while, when I had my son, my husband got it cleaned for me. I took it off to lotion my hands and forgot it was in my lap. Saddest day!! In the meantime I was wearing costume jewelry and finally landed on the ring my granny gave me when I was 16. My husband wanted to wait until Christmas but couldn't take it anymore. He sent me the coordinates to the Jewelry Exchange, then told me an amount and insisted I pick what I wanted. Initially I was going for something similar to my original ring, which was Rose Gold with a Morganite stone encased in small diamonds. The more I thought about all of the changes I've been through since losing my ring, the more I wanted something that reflected my growth. We landed on a White Gold single Diamond with a beautiful band. It was the perfect size and they had someone in house to weld my bands together! It was easy!! I bought the setting and diamond for my fiancé's engagement ring here, but had to go with a custom ring option for her wedding band as the engagement ring didn't have a matching band. Thankfully they had this as an option. Sadly, however, after a six week waiting period our band came in and it was the wrong band. We were pretty frustrated about this as we had to send in the ring to get a mold taken of it so she was without her engagement ring for a while. Whether it was a mistake on manufacturing side or not, it was definitely a one-off situation. The manager, Joseph, was so incredible to work with! He apologized and got down to the bottom of it right away! We had to resend the ring in again unfortunately but Joseph made sure it was expedited and we got the correct band within 2.5 weeks. Folks...it's perfect!! Joseph took amazing care of us, gave us free jewelry cleaner and waved the labor on the band for us and gave us some recommendations to get the ring appraised. In the end they made it right and were awesome to work with! My husband and I went in to upgrade my diamond. Adrian was great to work with! Didn't try to talk us into buying a new ring, he suggested having my original diamond made into a necklace. We gave him a price range and he didn't go to the top of our budget. Showed us all of our options in settings and really listened to what we both wanted. My wedding set had a cut out in the band because my original diamond was marquee. The new diamond is princess cut so their AMAZING jewelry removed the cutout, set the new diamond and sized my ring (it is 3 soldered together) and he added the hanging hardware to my original diamond. We were there late in the afternoon and there were several jobs before ours. The jeweler is in them middle of the middle of the store and surrounded by windows so you can see him doing the work. He finished everything that day! Have you ever heard of a store that had a jeweler on staff that did the work of the highest quality and finished it that fast???? I HAVEN'T!!! Their pricing is great! FIrst off, i dont live around here, im from california where we get absolutley zero snow. Im In Minnesota visiting my sister and her family, and i copmletely forgot it was going to be valentines day while i was here. Thank god it was easy to find, im not familiar at all with this area and was having visions of getting lost on the way down the freeway. I get there and its nice and warm inside, and the manager greets me and asks me to look around. I just needed a trinket for my sister, i heard they had $59 earrings so i wanted to see those. They had like 25 or 30 of them that were all around the same price, so i took my time and found the best ones out of the showcase. The manager made sure it was cleaned up first and giftwrapped, and i got out of there for well under $100. They were actually a big hit, being real diamonds and real gold, she probably thought i spent hundreds lol. Anyway, the service was good, the prices were great, and i couldnt be happier. If they have a location in california i will definately pop in next time i need a gift. read more

After visiting about 8 stores I came here with my (now) fiancee's mom. She had purchased a stone here a few months ago and was impressed with their service and prices. Amir helped me look through the various settings. He was very honest and knowledgeable. I knew exactly what I wanted as I had designed a ring online (on a different company's website). I showed him the picture of what I had designed. He found almost exactly the same setting that I had picked online. Then he showed me a variety of loose stones to choose from. I was very picky because I wanted it to be just right, and after showing me a handful of different stones, we found the perfect one. Joseph and Amir gave me a great deal and had the stone set and ring sized within 20 minutes of me deciding. They do all their work "in house" so you leave with the ring that day. I couldn't be happier with the finished product, and my fiancee LOVES IT. We have received countless compliments.
