I'm so glad we discovered the Jazz Corner on this trip to Hilton Head. What a wonderful evening we had. This was our fifth trip to this beautiful island and we find new things to do every time. We were lucky to get the last available table for the Wednesday night show, Bobby Ryder's Great American Songbook. He is a great entertainer and look forward to seeing him again. We love a supper club and the food did not disappoint. I started with a Count Basie Cosmo (delicious!) and then a wedge salad which was the best I've had. My entree was the tortellini puttanesca with shrimp, also delicious. My husband had the prosciutto wrapped scallops and he loved it. Our server was excellent! (I think her name was Alexis). Hoping to come back in the Fallon our next trip to our favorite place.

Continuing my birthday celebrations I found this spot to go and enjoy...after my dinner on the dock. This was only about 9mins drive from Hudson's Seafood. Upon arriving I was shocked to find out that they charge a $25 entertainment fee for the live band :-( but, I was here it's my birthday so it was what it was....i paid it. Being out solo, my goal for the night was to go enjoy a cocktail and a birthday dessert at the bar while listening to music w/locals. And so I did but, since it was a full crowd in this small very low dimmed intimate restaurant..there was 1 of 2 tables left. I was seated along the wall with my table facing the stage & all the action in the restaurant. It couldn't have been any better seat in the house especially being solo! I was glad I wasn't at the bar for once. Food: My martini and bourbon pecan pie was delicious! Service: Was nice (more gritty is included in your tab) Ambiance: Was a whole vibe! With that being said, it's a must I hit this spot up again when I come back to Hilton Head!

Time and again we head here for a special meal while in town. There are two seatings and tonight we were at the late one. The food was better than ever. There were additional apps and entrees in addition to the regular menu. The wait staff, bartender and hostess were all courteous, friendly and helpful. The music was fantastic!

Excellent food, service, relaxing jazz and camaraderie tonight at The Jazz Corner. Staff was especially attentive, the food was great, and the jazz was superb.

One of our favorite experiences in HH this year! We had the chefs specials which were excellent and the New Orleans Jazz band was amazing. Highly highly recommend! Will definitely be coming here again!

Fantastic first time at the Jazz Corner celebrating a friend's birthday. Deas Guys were very entertaining and covered a variety of styles--after kicking off with jazz, they moved into Motown and kept the crowd engaged. The classic Aviation cocktail was solid enough to order another, though pricy at $15. Wide ranging menu provided lots of options for our group. We started with the complimentary pimento cheese dip with toasts and shared the burrata plate with quality accompaniments. The Gorgonzola tortellini was creamy and flavorful, though I was slightly thrown by the cold bruschetta topping after receiving it in the dark. The carrot cake provided a sweet finishing touch!

We've been going to The Jazz Corner since it opened. The music is always awesome and the food is the best on the island. I have never been disappointed. We sure miss Bob the owner.

Delicious lamb

This place is one of a kind, the atmosphere, the elegance, the service, the food, the music, Jazz artists performance, the personal touch of having the owner greeting you and thanking you at the door at the end of the show, what a wonderful experience all around, I highly recommend it.

Had another delightful evening, featuring the Martin Lesch Band (boy, can he tickle the ivories!). The music was spectacular, and the food NEVER disappoints! I also hope many patrons add a donation onto their final bills to support music education in SC. The Caesar with white anchovies was awesome! The Wedge special was equally yummy. Entrees included toasted ravs, Gorgonzola tortellini, braised short rib & my fav, the duck with blueberry bbq sauce! The chai tea was pretty epic, as was the crème brûlée.

The place had a good ambiance. I went in December, and the place was decorated in Christmas stuff. The service was great. The mussels were a little salty, the she crab soup was good, and the crab cake was also good. The gumbo was a little spicy. The drinks were great. I recommend the Mambo Mango. The Bellini and Rum Punch were really good too. There's no cover to enter, but there is a food minimum requirement. Each person has to either get 2 appetizers/soup/salad or 1 entree, so basically you have to pay at least $30+. I would prefer if I had not gone in December, b/c the band played Christmas music, and I would have preferred to hear all jazz.

Love the Jazz Corner. The staff is so friendly and the musicians are all lovely. We've never had a less-than-perfect experience here. The food is great - highly recommend the swordfish, which comes with a ton of green beans and a huge mound of Gouda grits. The desserts were also amazing - my fav was the flourless chocolate cake. The carrot cake was good, but a bit too sweet for me. Def recommend if you're in town and looking for some good live music!

Prosciutto-wrapped Scallops

This place was all about the experience, and man the performance was outstanding. Live smooth jazz after dinner--you can't beat it! We saw the Fat Tuesdays and they truly brought the New Orleans vibe. They were a standout! This is a fairly small venue with great acoustics. The seating times are staggered--I'd recommend making a reservation exactly 30 minutes before show-time, which gives ample time to order and a window of well-lit dining before the lights turn down and the show starts. Food ratings (out of 10) and comments: Calamari special: 6, a little too crunchy with not enough substance Halibut special: 8, a little spicy Prosciutto-Wrapped Jumbo Scallops: 8.5, delicious but that was not risotto--it was rice. Loved the crispy kale! Blackened Ahi Tuna: 9, "good" Would definitely return, and highly recommend an adult beverage (or 2) to enhance the experience! :)

Jazz lovers rejoice! Every time I travel I always find me a Jazz spot to check out and this place did not disappoint. The atmosphere was perfect, entertainment was amazing and food was delish. Service was awesome as well, food came out quick but was still hot and fresh and very tasty. I will certainly come back whenever I am in Hilton again.

Ask the Community - The Jazz Corner

Can you walk in and sit at bar?

No. You need a reservation

Is there outdoor seating for people nervous about Covid?

I don't think they do. It is a smaller one room venue/restaurant and the musicians play inside too. However, they do take your temperature before entering and ask the usual questions. (Worth risking it though!)

I have a 14 and 11 year old who love jazz. Would this be an okay place to take them?

Yes. This is a pretty classy place. Enjoy!

I would think that the club would tell us if we need to wear certain attire. I hope not to embarrass my self with sweater pants . Will that be OK?

They have no explicit policy. Some people choose to dress up a bit (business casual), but others come in less formal attire. However, you may feel out of place since the décor of the restaurant is more upscale.

What's the attire for men and women at The Jazz Corner for dinner?

Casual. We saw people in shorts and Hawaiian shirts and jeans but also some dresses up in business casual.

They don't tell you or advertise the $20 parking fee from the hotel they are in. No one mentioned…read morethe free parking across the road. When I asked they didn't say anything about reimbursing. This was the most expensive meal of the week at over $200 for a Jamaican chicken sandwich, bbq chicken sandwich, 2 orders of shrimp tacos, and 2 appetizers. Let's start the atmosphere was pretty nice. They had live music but not loud enough for the entire restaurant. Now to the food: I had the Jamaican Chicken sandwich and tater tots. It came out on a huge bun and I was thinking man this is going to be a huge sandwich. Nope. Over half the sandwich was nothing but bread. The chicken was like 1 chicken tenders size basically. Hey the tater tots were good. My daughters had the shrimp tacos. Comes with 2 tacos, they were very good My wife had the bbq chicken sandwich and tater tots. She said it was good but nothing special. The appetizer was shrimp cocktail which was good and the dip trio. Your basic bar food dip trip. We had a few drinks and they were average at best. We had to ask for a shot to go along with the daiquiri because we were pretty sure we got a virgin. Overall not a good experience and the $20 parking fee blew my mind, atleast reimburse or give a free appetizer to compensate. For tourist we don't necessarily know there is free parking elsewhere and the people didn't even mention it.

Just had one of those "how is this place not packed every night?" experiences at Annie O's…read moreKitchen... and wow, I'm still thinking about it. Debbie and I stopped in about an hour before closing, not expecting much--just a quick bite. What we got instead was hands down one of the best seafood meals I've had in a long time. First off, we met the owner, Jim Scully--absolute legend. Friendly, genuine, and actually takes the time to sit and chat. You just don't see that anymore. Great conversation, great energy... set the tone right away. Now let's talk FOOD... * Fried oysters & shrimp - ridiculously good. Light, crispy, not greasy at all. You can tell everything is top quality. * Coleslaw - vinegar-based, shredded, and honestly reminded me of proper German kraut salad. Perfect balance with the seafood. * Soft shell crab... alright, this is where things got serious. "It was like a circus in my mouth... just an explosion of flavors." I'm not exaggerating. The texture was creamy, not oily, and the batter was just perfect. One of those bites where you just stop and look at each other like... yep, this is special. On top of that: * Everything is made with high-quality ingredients * Prices are very reasonable for what you're getting (honestly, some places charge double for worse) * BYOB (bring your own wine/beer = big win ) * Huge menu--seafood, ribs, BBQ, pulled pork, chicken, desserts... you name it Final verdict: (three thumbs up from Debbie & me) If you're in Hilton Head and even thinking about seafood--this is a hidden gem you don't want to miss. We'll 100% be back.
