This quaint Ethiopian cafe is such a hidden gem! You truly step into the culture and history of the roasting industry of coffee beans. The team is sweet and gave great recommendations for tea choices! Ample seating, free WiFi, and smooth jazz- perfect working spot

This place is a little hidden, in the backside of a plaza on Flamingo (across from the Palms Hotel). But if you're willing to put in the effort to find it you'll be greeted by friendly people serving up the best Ethiopian roasted beans ( roasted in the cafe ) you can find in Las Vegas. We had a dirty chai latte, muffin and a shot of Espresso. Everything was fantastic.. the service, the coffee and the food.

I'm always in the need for coffee. Not just any coffee or even Starbucks, I prefer a small biz that serves good, strong coffee. Luckily, I discovered Java Tree via Yelp app after a huge lunch. It's nestled towards a corner of a plaza. There are some tables for outdoor seating, and inside is cozy and full of decor related to coffee. In several areas of the cafe, there are plates of beans and small cups displayed. Sitting in the middle of the cafe is the roaster. There is a nice smell of fresh beans in here but not overpowering like some other roasters I've been to. I'm not sure if the lady (or owner) is from Ethiopia, but that's what she serves as the house coffee, a strong Ethiopian bean that she said is the best, and what she supposedly drinks everyday. I opted for a 20oz. Hindsight, should've gotten a 16oz or smaller because this is a potent cup of coffee. I took it black because I really wanted to taste the coffee and not have it masked by cream or sugar. A 1/2 cup was enough to wake me up and keep me going for a while, and that rarely happens. I usually drink 2 or 3 cappuccinos or a Venti to get the same effect. I didn't have a chance to try anything else but next time I'm in Vegas and if nearby, I would drop in again for some potent caffeine.

I happened to be in the area in need of coffee when I saw this cute little Cafe. There is nice seating outside if it's a nice day out and you want to enjoy the weather. When we walked in I was in love with the coffee shop/Cafe feel. It is kind of an old country Cafe feel. I really liked it! They even roast their own coffee in the shop! I was so excited to try the coffee. The barista was friendly. I ordered a mocha and my family got a carmel frap and caramel machiatto. We were all very disappointed in the coffee. It was not good. Very bitter and my mocha seemed watered down. The other two were so sickening sweet we couldn't drink them. Even after mixing them up. I really wanted to love this place. It would be a great spot to meet friends for coffee but the coffee was really lacking which surprised me. Maybe the food is better but for a place that roasts their own coffee It was quite disappointing.

My wife and I stopped by for breakfast before our hike at Red Rock. It's been over a month and I'm still thinking about this meal. Such kind service and amazing food. We will be back!

I had a nice experience here at Java Coffee. The place is a little hidden, but glad we found it! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a lady and she was very kind while we were ordering and making out drinks. The coffee beans used here are greatttt. I wish I could come here again, but we were from out of town. I would recommend:)

The cappuccino and chai latte were absolutely delicious! The service was super friendly too. And the coffee had such a great flavor.

This place is a HIDDEN GEM! First, the place is very clean and neat which I love ! Then their coffee is amazing! The service is quick and they are so attentive and nice ! Location is central and only few minutes from the strip. If you want a very good quality tasting coffee , this is a place to be!!!

Joy is half Ethiopian and half Italian, so if she can't make coffee she'll be letting down both cultures. The espresso here was the most balanced dark roast I've ever had, no unpleasant sourness or bitterness, just pure bliss

Had a wonderful experience at The Java Tree. The real taste and experience of real flavor of Ethiopian coffee. The waffle was so fluffy but has a great texture feel with fresh strawberries and bananas. I tried the chechebsa it was delicious! The spice was perfect and the thin chip/bread texture was on point and the serving dish was a great experience.

For a cold caramel macchiato they only have one size which is 20 ounce. It is good however a little too milky for my taste. I can taste NO coffee whatsoever just milk. I Did wanna order a crêpe but they were 12.99 and up which I thought was a little steep in my opinion. I love crepes I usually order them from my favorite place called what's crêpe and they're not that expensive there so I think I'll stick to What's crepe. The employees were extremely polite and sweet which I loved. It was extremely clean and beautiful inside very unique Decour. I will definitely go back and maybe try a different coffee.

Mood - tea Upon entering we walked up to the counter and the wait began. It wasn't busy, there wasn't a line. But no acknowledgment was given. Waited for about 10 mins before finally being seen. Opted for a pot of tea. Went and found seating, the tea was brought out. There was some sort of film on the lid of the pot, I took the tea back up to the counter and of course that made matters worse. I was told it must be a stain. I told the lady it was some sort of slime. At which point she touched for herself. She tried to take the tea from the dirty pot and place in a clean pot. I decided I didn't want to entertain this tea anymore. I honestly couldn't understand why not make a new pot of tea. Interior is beautifully decorated. They roast their own coffee beans and you can watch the machine roast. There are a few table and chair arrangements, and a sit up counter at the window. The outlets at the window have usb chargers. I can't recommend nor not recommend as I didn't get the chance to try the tea. The customer service was truly lacking. Maybe we were there at the wrong time. Pricing was reasonable Location is Flamingo/ Decatur- ample parking

Sometimes it's in the details that makes everything come together. Presentation from looks, ambience, set the tone. Drinks did not disappoint. Service was spot on too. They have you try your drink in a sample cup to be sure it's made exactly to your liking. From the outside it looked like either this was a new location or the area was still being developed. Building materials packed up nearby, still neat but obvious. But as soon as you step inside it's like none of that even existed. But once you find the beautiful, ornate wooden door and step inside, you're transported into a charming little wonderland. The interior is unlike any other café in Las Vegas, with a greenhouse feel, small trees, unique décor, and plenty of cozy spaces to relax. The atmosphere is airy, whimsical, and fun. My favorite drink is the Iced Butterfly Latte, a delicious banana-flavored latte that's both unique and refreshing. I've also ordered the Berry Ricotta Brioche several times, and it's always amazing. The menu offers a great variety of pastries, sandwiches, desserts, and specialty drinks, so there's something for everyone. Pro tip: Find a table before ordering! This place gets very busy, and seating fills up quickly. If you're with friends or family, have someone save a table while the others order. Overall, Gäbi is one of my favorite cafés in Las Vegas, and I continue to bring friends and family whenever I get the chance. Restrooms were really clean and had the same style decor too, so I appreciated that attention to detail. However, I docked 2 stars since I couldn't order anything. I arrived at 939pm, looked at the menu and decided on a slice of the Ube Crepe cake and one of the Apple Cinnamon macarons. They don't close until 10pm and people were still coming in, and there were still plenty of people sitting in the restaurant, but the staff didn't let me order anything at 945pm saying that she doesn't take any more orders after 930pm. What?!?! What the hell? You're open for a whole 30 more minutes and don't want to take my money - am I hearing that right? My friend had cash on him, and he was willing to pay cash if that's less of a hassle, and still no. It's not even to-go only, it was a flat-out no, before their 10pm closing time. THAT IS CALLED CRAP SERVICE. However, the 3 stars instead of 1 or 2 stars is because one anonymous employee who witnessed that go down changed my perspective of this spot. This person asked me not to reveal their identity on my Yelp review out of fear of getting in trouble. They overheard me trying to order but got turned away, then pointed to the macaron in a box in the fridge on display right there to my friend. So as I was walking towards the bathroom, this person (different than the girl who rudely turned me away) apologized for what happened and gave me the apple cinnamon macaron as a gift. That was so sweet of them. The macaron was absolutely perfect too, it was delicious - the perfect texture of the macarons, apple filling, in the center between the cream, with the crunch from I think they were dried apple bits on the side of the cream - amazing!!! But still insanely Vegas tourist trap rip off overpriced with the macaron that person gave me worth $8.35/piece. Honey & Butter Macarons in Irvine, CA or Durian Macarons at Sweet Mood in Westminster, CA, still keep their also delicious macarons under $5 each while having cute decor/ambiance (I'll admit they're not as impressive and unique as this spot though). But they're essentially banking on tourists not knowing any better and what things should actually be worth/gouging tourists as much as they can. Essentially, you're paying for the ambiance. Definitely not paying for the crap service. Food is good, but not astronomically priced good - you're kidding yourselves. You may be able to get away with stuff like that if you're inside one of the luxurious casinos on the Strip, like Venetian, Caesars, Bellagio, etc. But especially being off-strip, get a reality check. I may come back (thanks to your anonymous employee's kind gesture giving me that macaron), but it's more just to show my parents the cool ambiance.

I was told to wait a moment and I said sure no worries. I patiently waited and waited until it was over 10 minutes and also realizing there's another car behind me. So I moved forwarded to the window and at this time it is now 9:20am. When I pulled up to the window. Worker 1 (Asian girl with glasses and short black hair) was just standing & leaning with her back against the drive thru window. When she noticed me, I told her that I was waiting for over 10 minutes there for someone to come back and take my order. She stated they were "busy" with only 6 customers in the lobby but no line at the register? And that she was talking through the intercom but didn't hear anything? Weird. Cause it was just find 10/15 minutes ago... I explained that she could have checked in and apologized for the wait but she did not do that. I asked her am I able to get a discount for such a long unnecessary wait? She chuckled and said "no." And then walked away. (SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL) Worker 2 (white girl with glasses and nose piercing with blonde highlighted hair) came over with my coffee and I asked her if she was the manager. She said "yes." I tried to explain the situation and she completely cut me off right away not wanting to hear me as the customer out. She explained she heard it all and she doesn't have the time for this and that I was initially being aggressive (BIG LIE TO MAKE HERSELF FEEL ON TOP OF THE SITUATION). I told her I clearly have not been aggressive from the start and how ridiculous it is to for the both of you to not take accountability of this situation. Now I am extremely mad because she decided to escalate the situation but cussing back and forth. Instead of hearing the customer out and apologizing about it, I was told to leave because they had "no time" for any of it. I have been coming to this location for years and have never once been treated like this. And on top of that when refunding me because she rather do that than putting her ego aside and taking accountability, she shorted me $2. My order was $13 and change and I gave $15. When receiving my money back. I didn't not receive the whole $15. I got mistreated and stolen from, from this location by these two workers who refused to give me their names. I DO NOT recommend coming here for your coffee needs. It is absolute disgusting behavior these two so called women had. They absolutely need RETRAINING on customer service and definitely RETRAINING on how to act as a manager of the establishment. Completely disappointed. If I could give ZERO stars, I absolutely would with this review!
