As a new mother, and a veteran- - I have both clinical and administrative experience (even as a former part-time employee at INOVA) dealing with// outpatient physical therapy rehab service(s). My chief complaint as a patient was addressed correctly and expeditiously. I was mostly alone during my treatments and I did try and attempted to use the home theraband suggestion home stretches seriously and Ice packed the off site pain management advices suggested by accredited Physical Therapists. I've tried reflexology natur/oPathy massage (like Massage eNVy), but the pain became intolerable between working two jobs, attending two colleges same time, while - - also being a new parent. Scheduling options was not disparaging and it's never a stigma to get help when you honestly need to get help. I did have uncovered unpaid balances for missing appointments due to both scholastic and two jobs schedule conflicts, in which in compliance I've paid in full and out of pocket. They accepted both HMO - and PPO- base insurance/s. Overall my personal experience in this facility was ok, I did not get injured after walking out of Jackson physical therapy clinic and their Staff were sufficient and demeanors were friendly and not rude professionals. read more

Cristina is super dedicated to physical therapy and trying to understand difficult situations. I started coming in due to intense shoulder pain and wanted to get this resolved. Previously, I was told by doctors in the area that it was due to frozen shoulder but they realized that this was not the case and recommended that I get an MRI. She was able to convince the doctors to book an MRI at the time. Turns out she was right and doctors were able to find a tumor and I am getting treated now. If Cristina was not so persistent in the level of care, I would have brushed it off and this tumor could have been a bigger problem. She is a superstar! read more

I have been in physical therapy several times due to a variety of musculoskeletal issues/joint replacements. Most were good but the Leesburg office of Jackson Clinics stands out. The staff is top notch including Leah at the front desk who keeps things running smoothly, the skilled therapists whose understanding of the interconnected nature of the problems with my aging body and the exercise specialists who are supportive and helpful. Therapy is an hour and a half and normally includes a short massage. The longer session has more impact than the usual 50-60 minute sessions. It's also nice that everyone who works there seems to get along. read more

Jackson's provided excellent care, therapy and take home solutions to continue my physical health at home. The Staff is excellent, Admin is painless, and everyone is cheerful and energetic. Particularly my Therapy giver, Michael Pickel, PT, DPT, was the best I've had ever! He helped with strength, balance and situation awareness for hiking. Also Exercise Pros Joe and Donovan were also the best with their hourly supervised workouts 3x's a week. Over the past 10 years I have used Jackson's six times and will use them again without question or reservation when the time comes! read more

I came in for PT treatment for a bad back. The therapists, the exercise specialist are helpful. Most seem to be recent graduates, but they take their craft seriously. If you have to deal with the administration people though, heaven help you. The people behind the desk, the office executives are extremely rude. I had misfortune of speaking with a 'Marcela L Brown'. Every time I had to talk to her, she is rude, condescending, and judging from the vague emails that she sends, totally inept. Pretty unfortunate that a PT experience had to be colored by the incompetence of the front office. I see the receptionist and the staff are a constant problem pointed out by other reviews as well. read more

We've been to this location twice this year now. They are located inside Sport & Health. Parking is in the underground garage and costs $1 with a validated ticket. The therapists are knowledgeable and friendly. The office manager, Marcel, is efficient, organized and very patient with our changing schedules and appointments. I'm always able to speak to someone when I call. Internet connection is poor inside Jackson Clinic, so if you're waiting for a family member, don't expect to be able to surf the internet. read more

I have been dealing with movement issue in my right leg for a while. Finally I had to see a physical therapist. I was lucky enough to see Jeff Camara who is one of the therapists. With just one session I noticed a significant improvement and dramatic results. I can't thank enough the outstanding work by Jeff and his team. Jeff is extremely knowledgeable and expert on what he does. Unfortunately there's no cure the underlying causes of my issue but to my pleasant surprise my leg is feeling way much better. I was referred to Emily at the Tysons Corner click by my pain specialist- Dr Kendell. I'm 43, have cervical degenerative disc disease and pain management has become part of my everyday life- and I'm trying to push off surgery as long as possible. I'm a former athlete with numerous torn ACLs and other injuries and I realize the importance of PT. Emily is fantastic- Knowledgeable, good listener, positive, and caring. The Jackson Clinics was highly recommended by my Doctor, and several locations were convenient. I was unimpressed by the receptionist at the first location I called, so called the Tyson's location and office mgr Marcel Brown was the reason I chose Tysons. She is professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and scheduled me the next day. For those worried about how to get to the clinic, watch the helpful video on their website. My Physical Therapist, Jacob Lee is wonderful. When I started, I had to park near the elevator because my hip was so painful I walked with a limp, and stairs were too difficult. After several sessions, I was able to take the stairs, and with continued treatment, sort out other issues that were caused by favoring my hip. Jacob, and all the other therapists at Tysons are incredibly kind, respectful, professional, patient, and helpful. Jacob challenges me with exercises to build strength and balance, and also explains how the muscles work together for functional movement, and how each exercise will help. I've been going to their clinic in person during the pandemic restrictions because it's important to me to recover. They disinfect the therapy beds and provide clean pillowcases for each patient. All pieces of equipment are disinfected before use, and hand sanitizer is conveniently available. Water is also available in the break room. Everyone is now required to wear a mask. I feel very safe there, but tele-health sessions are also available. I highly recommend Jackson Clinics at Tysons! read more

Jackson Clinics Tyson's is awesome. I started PT for my hip having issues with day to day activities (even things like putting on pants), and left feeling capable and empowered to live the active lifestyle my injury has previously pulled me out of. I'm back to lifting, cycling, hiking, and more. I can't say enough good things about this team. My therapist Emily was professional, thoughtful, and extremely knowledgeable, providing useful feedback and coaching throughout my recovery process. She was highly responsive to my questions and concerns, suggesting movement modifications and creating personalized plan to help me get back into the activities I wanted to do. German, the exercise specialist I saw most often, is an expert at helping you activate the specific muscles you need to strengthen. The exercises he directed were never too easy, and he took the time and care to give form feedback and encouragement to ensure I got the most benefit possible from each movement. The administrative staff (most often Kim when I went) were friendly and attentive, and very easy to reschedule with. If you're looking for active recovery with a professional and supportive treatment team, look no further! read more

I started coming to the Jackson Clinic - Tysons Corner, VA somewhere around September 2019 and was taken care of by the skilled therapists over at that clinic. Mr. Jeff Camara, one of the therapists working there, stood out as extremely knowledgeable in my injury which is frozen shoulder. Extremely experienced & skilled in treating cases similar to mine. I am very lucky to have him as my therapist now and honestly feel my therapy, with his assistance, will probably be cut in half the time needed to cure my shoulder! Not only is he very professional but also very pleasant & easy to talk to and you will feel you are well taken care of from the time you walk in the clinic until the time you leave. Located in XSport Fitness Facility. Getting to the facility for someone who needs physical therapy will be a challenge. Patients have to walk from the parking lot and up 2 flights of stairs and then around the block to the building. Seriously! I gave this place only 1 star because I was injured during one of my sessions. The exercise therapist gives you exercises to do and does not monitor you at all. At one point, she was doing trivia on her PC while I was attempting the exercises. Wow! I couldn't believe it. I completed 2 sessions at this place and decided there must be better more attentive therapists out there. The staff members are nice and pleasant but I needed a place to help me get better. The physician that I saw was and pretty enthusiastic about helping me, and seemed very knowledgable, but was unable to make any meaningful progress with my injuries and pain. I am not sure if this attributable to the complexity of my injury or not, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt. One aspect that REALLY bothered me was that, once you are "finished" with the PT and they walk you over to the assistants to perform exercises, the assistants are generally unable or unwilling to address any concerns that you have. There is a large gap of knowledge between the assistants and the physicians, so if you go here, make sure to squeeze as much time from the physicians as possible. Also, they do not do ANY preauthorization for insurance purposes, so if you visit them and your insurance later declines to cover you, you will STILL be on the hook to pay this clinic. Very unprofessional and unhelpful. read more

Extremely knowledgeable and caring staff! Went here after I got my torn hip flexor surgically repaired and after a sprained ankle hadn't gone away after 6 months. After physical therapy for both I can definitively say that there was a huge improvement if not full recovery. They catered to my needs as a three sport athlete and I felt like they really got my situation. Can't express how great the staff was! The fact that you don't need a doctors referral anymore to get physical therapy is a huge plus and great for small things like sprains and strains. read more

TRICARE and military users beware. They "legally" have to charge you $10 to work with their exercise specialists every visit. The staff is great and the therapists are skilled and good at what they do but they have not figured out a way to take care of military. Supposedly several insurance companies, including TRICARE, require the PT clinics to use certain qualified people to provide exercise therapy and this clinic is not doing that. read more

I have to review this clinic because having been to several PT clinics, this one is exceptional. Location: I see reviews the location is challenging. It is located in the Sport and Health Fitness club. Parking is $1. There are stairs or an elevator you can take up to the ground level and from there it is only a 1 minute walk to the clinic. Being located inside the club is beneficial because they have locker rooms to change and every machine you can imagine which is great if you are trying to figure out what you can do while injured to maintain your fitness. Reception: The receptionist is great. When I first scheduled my evaluation I had an appointment 1 week out. She called me back that same day when there was a cancellation and I was in the next day, which was great because my prior PT clinic had made my pain worse. For my injury (lumbar) I have only seen Holly (PT) and Tiffany (Exercise specialist). Holly is knowledgeable, professional, positive and patient with all of my questions. Tiffany is equally as patient and eases you into the exercises, checking the pain level every time. I am very satisfied with the treatment plan at this clinic and would definitely recommend seeing Holly if you are looking for a knowledgeable and effective Physical Therapist! read more

I have to say I'm surprised by the reviews on here, however I do note that they are not recent reviews. I have had a wonderful experience at this PT practice. After injuring my neck in July, I had to go to PT for several weeks. I chose this clinic because it's in-network, my spine doctor recommended them, and it's conveniently located. I primarily saw Dr. Jahshan for PT and Alyson for exercises. I loved them both and my condition has improved with their treatment. Dr. Jahshan is very caring and understanding, and she really takes her time to help patients understand their conditions. I I am very grateful I found this clinic. The location isn't that bad, and they can help make arrangements for non-ambulatory patients to access the facility. I am taking off one star because the receptionist can be pretty curt. read more

The staff is nice, the clinic director is a good therapist and very well versed in his field. My main problem with the clinic is that when I had an issue with what was communicated regarding the cost of the therapy and the amount of time I was billed for, the response was pretty much "buyer beware." So for those of you who choose to use this clinic - here are a few things I wish I knew ahead of time...so that you are aware too. I would only recommend working with the director. I once had a therapist who was absolutely bored to death with a)his job or b) my type of injury or c) just me. He barely worked on me before moving on. When they offer extra time - fully understand that you will pay for that time. You will pay not matter how nicely extra therapy, exercise or time is offered or what verbiage is used. Even if it is offered as "I am giving you extra time since I don't have anyone else scheduled after you," in the middle of them working on you. Either assume you will pay or ask if you will be charged. Do not assume dedicated time or much hand holding with the exercise therapist. While very nice, the exercise therapist will work with an average of 2-3 other patients at the same time as you and plan to pay in full for that time regardless of whether the therapist worked with you alone or with three patients at the same time. Plan to pay about 30-40% more than what is initially quoted if you have a high deductible like I do. The bill is not provided until the end of your sessions - so it is impossible to know until the very end. Monitor your time and budget accordingly. Good luck. read more

Wariest location wariest to park there pay for parking and if you lose the parking ticket it's big story not helping you with your injury every time i go the physical therapy takes reports only let you walk and giving you some weird guesses of what made my injury let you walk with arching which made my knees worse he said it will to take 7 to 8 sessions for me to recover from it i stayed with them for 10 sessions no improvement not doing any effort to treat my knees.there's a lot more bad stuff that I didn't mention coz i wasted my time already there and money already so I don't wanna waste it again. read more

Beware the receptionist - she is one nasty person. I terminated my therapy with this clinic because of her. The location is poor also. You have to climb several flights of stairs to get to the clinic, which is inside a sports center. Not very accessible if you are of limited mobility. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this practice. My family has worked with Holly, Kris, Tiffany, and Alli, for several years with wonderful results. But most recently, I have been going there 2-3 times a week for the past several months recovering from shoulder surgery. The therapists are extremely capable, professional, and highly technical providing exactly the care that is needed at every stage of my recovery. I am measured at each visit and that determines the appropriate course of action. The therapists are all highly skilled and so proficient in their field, but what makes this really effective is their fantastic bedside manner. When you spend 16 weeks visiting the same therapists, having a good relationship becomes critical! I am almost not looking forward to completing my treatment just because I will miss the wonderful camaraderie with my therapy team! They are always finding the right mix between challenging you to push yourself but keeping it light enough to make you want to come back for more. The staff is super friendly and encouraging. Yes, the parking is a slight hassle. And honestly there is another Jackson Clinics location just a few miles from my house. But I drive here because these therapists are the best ones I have encountered in NoVa. And when I pick up my tennis racquet again next month thanks to their very successful treatment, I will really miss them! read more

I recommend the Tyson's Jackson Clinic highly and so does my orthopedist. I came here for neck/shoulder issues feeling somewhat desperate after two bad PT experiences. One place did not have trained professional staff and the other was a chiropractor's office that says it does physical therapy but doesn't. On the contrary, at the Jackson Clinics I saw the same excellent Doctor of physical therapy every time, and one of two also excellent exercise supervisors who also have degrees in what they do and training. I like that it is in a gym - there's available locker rooms and exercise equipment if you want it. And for me the parking and stairs weren't an issue. The receptionists are perfectly pleasant and seem to be very good at dealing with the insurance company - no unexpected charges! My husband also came here when he had frozen shoulder and his excellent therapist fixed him without surgery or cortisone shots. read more

I am an active person and a member of the Sport and Health gym where this clinic is located. So when I injured my shoulder last April, it was convenient for me to choose this clinic. I couldn't be happier with it. I have been to other PT clinics in other cities, but Dr. Holly Jahshan at this clinic is the best PT I have ever had. She is very professional and extremely knowledgeable. She gave me a ton of clinical data on my shoulder condition (don't worry - she won't do this to you unless you are a data junkie like me), so I knew exactly what to expect during my recovery. She has helped me focus on my specific goals for my shoulder (get back on the bicycle!), and she even went with me to the spinning room in the gym to help me figure out work-arounds until I could reach the handlebars in a normal way. Thanks to Holly, I am back on my bike! My husband is an ultramarathoner who injured his back recently, and he sees Dr. Kris Porter at this same clinic, and he is also very impressed (and recovering very well). Whoever the receptionist was that people on earlier reviews were unhappy with is gone - both Bridget and Nikki at the front desk are helpful and friendly and efficient. There used to be a problem with parking if you couldn't take the stairs, but they have gotten that fixed - park near the door (just not in the child care center spots), and Bridget or Nikki will get you a card that will reduce your parking fee.
