When I received my receipt by email I found that I was rewarded with a $75 pet fee added to my stay. I contacted the hotel numerous times but they will not return calls. I did receive an email letting me know the hotel has been pet friendly for "furry friends" since sometime in 2022. No mention of the fraudulent billing in the email. Avoid the hassles and unprofessionalism at this hotel, stay elsewhere.

In fact, during my stay, I found a fishing hook and a spider in the first room I was assigned to. When I brought this issue to the attention of the front desk staff, Jean, the staff member on duty, seemed overwhelmed and took almost 90 minutes to check me in and assign me a new room, which was unfortunately even dirtier than the first one. To make matters worse, the manager, Cassandra, was dismissive and unhelpful during our conversation, failing to address my concerns or provide any meaningful solutions. The noise level in this hotel is horrible so loud there is no way anyone can get any sleep. The A/C sounded like a 747 plane was running its turbine in the room. The state of disrepair at the front of the building and the sad exterior lounging area with a BBQ only serve to reinforce my belief that this hotel does not deserve to be associated with the Hilton brand and is not even worthy of being called a motel.

Where else are you going to stay in Elkins and the room itself was nice as well as the lobby area, so I will just bring toilet paper, shampoo, soap, and conditioner and ask for more towels on check in like I did this time. We ate out on the inn's veranda overlooking Elkins and the surrounding mountains while a talented, local artist, Kelsey Jefferies, serenaded us. Service was great. While it was a pleasant day, the inn had heaters, like what you see at outdoor cafes, operating to take the chill off. Very reasonably priced for the food quality and the surrounding atmosphere. Looking forward to trying dinner there sometime.

Really odd story, I was visiting relatives for Christmas in Belington and we got stuck in a snowstorm and crawled in here for the night. Yes, it was at one time a hospital. The next day I realized that it looked really familiar and confirmed with my mother that not only had I gone here for a wedding reception as a child, but it was in fact the same hospital I was born in. It had a creepy vibe to it but I think all old hospitals do. I kept thinking people probably died there. However, people were also born there so that helped give me a warm fuzzy feeling as opposed to scary. There are definitely hospital showers so if you are elderly or disabled, you don't have to worry about slipping and falling, and thus ending up in a hospital. Lol Overall a decent stay because of sentimental reasons and bizarreness, and also because I was not willing to go elsewhere that late at night in bad weather. That being said, next time I'm going to Hampton Inn.

Room includes a mini fridge and microwave, Wi-Fi and coffee. No frills place but an enjoyable stay both times. It's located close to amenities (groceries, restaurants, gas, etc).
