We were told it would be about an hour before someone could clean it, so we waited in the lobby and watched TV. After an hour, a staff member showed up and "cleaned" the room in under 15 minutes-seemed suspicious, but we went to check in anyway. We got to the room around 10:10pm and were immediately hit with the smell of cigarettes. Annoying, but we tried to brush it off. Then we pulled back the sheets on BOTH beds and were horrified to find body hair and brown stains all over them. I went to the front desk and politely asked for clean sheets so we could change the beds ourselves to get to sleep faster. I was told we had to leave the room and wait in the lobby for staff to do it, which was not going to happen, because our belongings were already unpacked in the room and we wanted to ensure the job was done correctly. When I insisted, the staff got defensive and claimed the sheets were already clean. Eventually, they gave me clean sheets, but after that, they were rude and wouldn't even make eye contact with us for the rest of our stay. Not to mention, the shower was also full of hair, and the duvet cover looked like it had white bodily fluids on it. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would.

If it weren't for the checkin process, this would have been a 5 star review. When we checked in at 7pm (checkin is at 3pm but we were on a road trip and arrived late), our room wasn't even ready. I had booked a room weeks before our trip so our arrival shouldn't have been a surprise. The concierge was stressed out and freaking out over everything. She said she would go clean our room and it would be 15 minutes. AN HOUR AND A HALF passed while more people lined up to checkin. They forgot that our room had already been cleaned and went to clean a new room upstairs for us. After all this mess, they tried switching our double queen bed room to a single...even though two rooms were cleaned for us! I told them no because I had already been waiting for so long and then they gave us the first room they had cleaned over an hour ago. They didn't offer us any drinks while we waited. Because of their incompetence, all of the restaurants were closed except for Buffalo Wild Wings that's pretty much next door. When we came back to the hotel after dinner, there was literally a line out the door with people waiting to check in. I'm surprised they even recovered by morning because this whole ordeal was a mess!

The beds were beyond comfortable and even with kids in the hall our room was quiet. The tv was excellent and our heater/ac worked perfect. The daily 6-10am breakfast was delicious and clean. They had cereals, pastries, yogurts, juices, hot cakes, scrambled eggs and sausage patties. I'm pretty picky, but the eggs and sausage were great. Directly in front of the hotel is a gas station/24hr mini mart and a quaint diner called the Huddle House. We had dinner there, late night snacks from the mini mart and filled our gas tank before departing for our trip home in the morning. I would recommend this hotel and stay again when I'm back in the area!

We also tried to get spa appointments and they didn't have any availability until after we were gone. I was confused what the resort fee was actually for on the bill. I had high hopes and am kicking myself for not reading the reviews…read more.. Convenient location for a visit to Stonewall, the Asylum, hiking etc.. At check-in there were crumbs on the table/counters, jelly fingerprints on a kitchen cabinet, cobwebs, dust bunnies etc. And bring your own towels, pillows and sheets (the ones on site are so thin and ratty). Other supplies are limited - only had a few paper towels, 1 garbage bag, we almost ran out of toilet paper etc.. There is also a binder with tons of rules and fines if you don't follow them. I get that to some extent but it could be presented in a much better way.
