I started purchasing ride packages and went to classes whenever I could (would have loved a few later classes to be more accommodating of my work schedule). CycleFierce helped me lose 30lbs! Staff are amazing and make you feel right at home! If I hadn't moved to North Carolina, I'd still be a regular! I haven't had a spin experience that has even come close to what I had there. I wish I could go more often but between barre classes, cardio at Planet Fitness every day and a personal trainer twice a week, my fitness schedule is busy but they offer reasonably priced packages of classes that make it possible to get there at least once or twice a week if a full on membership doesn't work for you right now. The staff are all super friendly and always willing to help you before, during, and after classes. I tried my first spin class last night with Mackenzie and have never enjoyed working out as much as I did during her class. She incorporated toning and arm exercises into the routine which was different (loved it). Both the barre and spin classes are in dimly lit studios with neon lights and the BEST music. I've only ever been in classes with women so far which I also like, and even though I'm a newbie I've always felt welcome. This is just what downtown Haverhill was missing. I'm hooked!!

Big surprise to witness for the first time in my life a class ran by a DRUNK teacher!! Scott, supposedly a landscaper by day (that would explain the horrible dirty toenails, but not the slide sandals - never seen a trainer running a class while wearing slides...), shocked me first, but then I started being amused by his slurs, incapacity to express himself properly, and bad breath. I wasn't sure if to leave or to stay. I chose to stay, being my first class and all. At the end of the (shitty conditioning) class, which consisted half of it of foam rolling, and the other half of poor TRX exercises, the front desk guy (who actually was walking a big dog through the place, including the fitness room during the class), has asked me how was the class. I said "ok", and he said "only ok??"; I said "yea, I've never been to a class run by a drunk teacher", and he said "no, you're wrong, he's not drunk, he's a landscaper and smells like gasoline" hahahahahaha :))) Anyway, long story short, I came for the actual spinning class but the lady owner said that actually they don't want me there since I am lying. hahahaha :))))))) Take your business elsewhere, please. After a hiatus of a few years, I started attending weekend classes with a friend, and have had a great time. FireCycle has a sense of community that other studios just don't - the instructors (especially Jordan and Tim) are amazing humans who take the time to get to know and support you, no matter what level you're at. The music choices are always great, the studio is always clean, and I feel great during and after classes. The studio is located directly across the street from the Crescent Street municipal parking lot, and there is usually street parking as well, which is great for someone who drives in from Cambridge every weekend!

Located quite literally next to a Planet Fitness in Londonderry, this upscale studio won't be serving slices of greasy pizza to people (like myself) pretending to workout on machines that are covered in Covid 37 and divorce. This is not your usual "I went to the gym for an hour, but I'm going to count my time in traffic as gym time" workout. The ladies of CS bring the Burn (or Flow) each and every class. As someone who enjoys exercise in concept only, I found myself being lapped by every single one of my classmates. I was a three legged horse at the Kentucky Derby, my only solace being the impending glue factory. That being said, my social anxiety and third-trimester-beer-gut were welcome with open arms at CS. They not only fit me with stylish shoes, but encouraged me to actually pedal when on the bike...and pedal we did! There was a great mix of both physical and mental workouts for the 45 minute session. While, as always, my tongue remains in my cheek with these reviews....I did thoroughly enjoy this experience! "Rita", the name of the helpful and way-too-in-shape instructor, brought energy, encouragement, and "good vibes" as the kids say. Thankfully for society, I don't think I'll be slipping into any yoga pants in the near future....But...I will be going again to Collective Studios. For the first time in a long time, I felt welcome and encouraged to step outside of my comfort zone. Mark this as my first (and let's be honest, only) gym review because I can't imagine having a better experience anywhere else.
