I've experienced a few sessions of Botox at The Injection Room. My results have always been fine. Not exceptional but, they were fine. On the "promo special day," they charge $11 per unit which isn't a "special" here in Austin. It's the average price (it's also the average price in the SF Bay Area so you're definitely not getting a deal here in Austin). At checkout, when you tap your credit card to pay, it asks for a tip. A tip for a medical procedure, I think is pretty tacky. I don't get asked for a tip at my dermatologist's office or dental office, etc., so why would a nurse practitioner ask? Also, it was weird other employees hang out in the reception area to socialize, talking over waiting patients, having conversations with each other and on their phones.....one wearing jogging pants with house slippers. It's just a very causal environment that unfortunately, comes across as unprofessional. read more

Ive been following and admiring Lauren's work on IG since they opened a location in Austin. I used to visit a different medspa but finally decided to book an appointment with Lauren to take advantage of their filler special to help take care of my annoying eye bags that wont seem to go away. During my visit, Lauren actually listened to my concerns and recommended getting jelly roll injections to help with the eye bags (this would have been much cheaper than what i initially came in for). But i wanted something that had more of a long term effect so she also recommended the EZ gel filler in different parts of my face. I could tell she was super knowledgeable and so i went with her recommendations. Its been one day and i can already see the major differences in my eye bags and fine lines. Lauren is also super sweet and patient (my appt went over by 20mins and she did not rush through my treatment). Like another reviewer said shes like a walking IG filter (even more stunning in person). Yup, i think i've finally found my injector in Austin :) Also, make sure you look at the retail parking signs. I accidentally parked at a designated spot for a local restaurant. Luckily i only received a warning note and they did not tow my car. read more

I do not recommend this establishment in Austin. I was injected with a neurotoxin by Kat on 4/25. By the next week, my right eyelid was drooping so much. I am on week 3 since being injected and I have dry eye, visual impairment (blurriness, occasional double vision), dizziness, nausea, and trouble carrying on daily activities like walking, running, driving, working, and more. I alerted the office asap via email and did not get an immediate response. I had to follow up to see if the email address even worked. I finally got a response and we scheduled my follow up earlier than originally scheduled. The nurse, Callie, saw me for a follow-up on 5/6 wherein she suggested that Kat did nothing wrong and my toxin must have "spread." No direct apology was received from her, other than "this sucks and it's rare." I asked for a refund and was told I would have to wait for her manager to approve it. They promised they'd mail me eye drops to help open my eye while I wait for the toxin to wear off. Editing to add: Kat did not join the follow up appointment, however she was present at The Injection Room that day and time. I heard from the office manager that she would refund fully. I have received the refund. I went to a reputable local dermatology practice for a second opinion on what Kat did. The MD FRCPC said that she injected too medially (too close to my eye) and that nothing "spread." Any closer to my eye and I could have been blinded. Please check injector's credentials/license status before scheduling here. Do not rely on Instagram accounts. No amount of money refunded replaces my vision or my health. I hope this review ensures that no one else experiences this. read more

Updated Review I promised y'all I'd be back! After an amazing first lip filler experience with Kathleen, I knew I could trust her with my medial cheeks. Wow, The Injection room is AWESOME. This was my first experience with cheek filler and I'm a worrywart so of course I thought maybe I was swelling more than was normal afterwards. Kathleen was on vacation and I didn't want to bother her with questions so I messaged the main IG page. The gal at the front desk was super fast at responding to my message and got me booked ASAP to see another injector for a follow up. Even though I wasn't her client, Callie took care of me as if I was. And guess what!? My swelling was normal and went down tremendously the following day. My face, especially my under eyes, looks so refreshed and my cheek apples have the cutest pop when I smile. What a game changer! Anywho, summary is, Kathleen is an artist who knows how to make her clients feel comfortable and beautiful and the Injection Room is a cut above the rest when it comes customer service. Honestly amazing. I was previously botched by another med spa and Kitty at Injection Room fixed me right up. We dissolved my previous filler and then waited a couple weeks and did one syringe in 2 sessions. She is very skilled and knowledgeable. She's also super chill and sweet. She skillfully placed that one syringe in a way that really created structure and fullness on my difficult shaped lips. One syringe with her was much more of a change than one syringe I've gotten anywhere else. Honestly bang for your buck! She was also very realistic with me about results, with my anatomy and facial animations/habits filler tends to slip under my lips and migrate towards the center. Since we did the filler in two sessions she was able to assess how my lips would hold the filler and then make strategic adjustments from there. She also has your best interest in mind and has a good aesthetic eye. She was almost hesitant to put more filler in my top lip on the second session and helped me accept the fact I probably won't have huge Instagram lips and that's okay, she also assured me that my lips look great (took a picture from her point of view) and told me that there might be some self image kinda vibes effecting how I see myself. That's what you want in an injector, honesty. I've been to places that'll just pump you up in 10 minutes and take your money. Another good sign with an injector is their own filler/aesthetic. If your injector looks insane, you will probably look insane. Everyone there is very kind, professional and skillful. I will never switch injectors!!! I'm not even sure if they have injected any botox or scammed me on the number they have injected. Injecting a high amount of botox on the area that is already effected by botox from less than 2 month ago is WRONG not sure what kind of "nurses" they are. Will never return to this sketchy place again. Don't get fooled by their wrong advertising.
