This is one of the stores that we stopped in! The Olive Shoppe is a store that sells all different kinds of Olives, and Olive oils and their infusions, like with balsamic, and it is fresher too. My Mom and I actually have been in a few shops like this on various trips in Lancaster PA, and NJ. So we are familiar with this type of place. The Olive Shoppe also has locations in Market Commons here, as well as another location in SC. Walked in and employee was friendly and greeted us. We then looked around at the olives and brought some kind of stuffed olive. We then looked at all the various types of Olive Oils which they had many different items and infused flavors. One can cook with them, One can use it as some kind of marinade, and lots of other things. One can also try the Olive Oil to see if you like it, and can buy it. We both tried the Avacado Olive Oil, and enjoyed it! So we got that. Plus avacado is supposed to be good for a person. We brought Avacado Olive oil, some stuffed olives, and something else, plus we got a olive oil holder that helps the container stay fresh. Purchasing that we got a discount on our items. We paid via credit card. We look forward to using our new olive oil! We will be back soon if we want more items!

A very nice happy hour menu with great food and drink options. It seemed everyone knew each other, a very friendly atmosphere. Everything was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly. Numerous tables and booths available for seating, as well as the bar. And outside dining is also an option. Prices & portions seem reasonable. This place appears to get quite busy and also looks to have many regulars. Family-owned- European and Northern Italian influence. We came on a Saturday night, shorty before close, so we were able to get two seats at the bar. Our bartender was extremely attentive throughout our visit. Complementary bread is provided. Comes with a nice oil and garlic blend. Ordered the Bucatini Puttanesca & Spaghetti with Italian Sausage. These come with a dinner salad or up grade to a Caesar for $2 more (which I did). Both salads were fresh and delicious. I will say one of the best caesar dressings I've had. The pasta, presentation was lovely. The flavors bland, tomato sauce (tastes straight from the can) had no additional spices present and the pasta way over cooked. Seems their noodles are pre-cooked and Al Dente then is just not possible. This is another reason why the rating was just below average. Really disappointing. Would not be a place we would revisit.

I was greeted promptly and warmly, and the bartender quickly gathered my order, including a slice of cheesecake that looked too good in the front display to pass up. Even though my order was to-go, the atmosphere inside the restaurant stood out. The space felt relaxed and comfortable, not overly loud even though it was more than half full. A gentleman was playing soft jazz on the piano in the corner at just the right volume, which added a really nice touch to the overall vibe. But the food is the star. I ordered the Vegetariana and the Margherita, and both were excellent. The brick-oven crust had the perfect texture: crisp and lightly charred on the outside with a soft, chewy interior that held up beautifully under the toppings. The Vegetariana was loaded with mushrooms, olives, roasted red peppers, and fresh greens over a bright tomato sauce and melted cheese. The toppings were generous but balanced, and everything tasted fresh. The Margherita was simple and classic, with fresh mozzarella, tomato, and basil. The ingredients really shine in a pizza like this, and it was outstanding. And the cheesecake absolutely lived up to the promise from the display case: rich, smooth, and dense with a buttery graham crust. A perfect finish to the meal. Great service, a welcoming atmosphere, and excellent brick-oven pizza. I'll definitely be back.

The food is always fresh & reasonably priced. Atmosphere is very chill & staff is friendly. There are soooo many Italian choices in NMB & I've tried almost all of them. Rapone is our go-to regularly. Mangia!!

Nick is an absolute legend!…read more We came to Portofino not knowing what to expect, and we left completely blown away -- and honestly, a huge part of that was our waiter, Nick. This guy is on another level. From the moment we sat down, Nick's energy, knowledge, and genuine passion for hospitality set the tone for the entire evening. He wasn't just taking our order -- he was curating an experience. Now let's talk about the Cacio e Pepe -- insanely good doesn't even begin to cover it. It was perfectly executed: silky, bold, with just the right bite of pepper. Classic done right. But you know what made it taste even better? Nick. He recommended it with such confidence and enthusiasm that we had to order it, and he absolutely delivered. Nick was attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and just an all-around fantastic human being. He made us feel like VIP guests from start to finish -- checking in at exactly the right moments, offering spot-on suggestions, and keeping the whole experience flowing effortlessly. If you go to Portofino, you absolutely should ask for Nick by name. He is the kind of server that reminds you why going out to dinner is supposed to be a special occasion. We will 100% be back, and Nick is a big reason why. Portofino, you have a gem on your staff. Treat him well!
