Food was good however the customer service was lacking. I had ordered the 10 piece wings and did the half and half. Flavor was good but the spice was not there. The sauce was a tad bit too dry, they could've been a bit more generous with it but the chicken was nice and crispy. The ube banana pudding was to die for. If you must try something, try their banana pudding as this is a must. Skip the bubble tea, I had gotten a matcha boba tea thinking it would be spectacular like the tiktok video I had seen - NOPE. Below mediocre. Barely had any matcha. I was drinking straight green milk with boba. The boba was made to perfection but they are not sweet at all. My drink was flavorless and after trying to drink all of it, I had to throw half away because it was just not doing it for me. I wouldn't really return here for the boba at all.

I always try new establishments especially watching the good reviews on instagram. What's huge mistake!!! It took more than 30 minutes for the chicken to be ready!! Also the milk tea boba was full of milk and no tea to be found. It was tasteless. Terrible way to start a business. They need to do better

I was surprised at how delicious the ube banana pudding is. I'm not aware of any other stores near me that sold the same so this was a nice surprise. Ube flavored cream with banana cake which tasted good either separate or together. Sweet enough to share with others. They had bingsu but is a bit expensive. We also got the lychee bubble tea but the bubbles were a little on the harder side. The chicken drumsticks were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The crispy outside was a bit oily and not enough sauce. We went on a Saturday afternoon so had to wait about 25 min for the chicken.

For appetizers, the bulgogi wrap ($16) and a small order of wings ($9) were ordered. The wrap was flax seeds flour rolled with bulgogi beef and various vegetables. There was also some type of mayo and teriyaki sauce (or eel sauce) on top. This was good. The wrap was light and held up with the beef filling. The beef was flavorful and paired well with both sauces. There were five wings. The sauce chosen was the sweet and spicy. Each wing was of good size while being very saucy. There was definitely more heat than sweet, but still ideal flavor. I did think they would be a tad crispier. For an entrée, I had the kimchi fried rice with beef ($22). This was solid. The fried egg was a little hard, but the rice had good flavor and was just overall tasty and well rounded. I also tried the bulgogi soup. The broth was outstanding. They also provided some broccoli, kimchi, noodles, and I believe glazed sweet potatoes as sides. The broccoli was great with a little sesame oil present. The sweet potatoes were pleasant as well. Will I go back? Yes.

As good as Korean food gets ... ANYWHERE…read more We strolled into this unassuming, small and relatively quiet Korean restaurant on a nice summer Saturday evening. The restaurant is located diagonal of the Whole Foods in Ridgewood and with all of the attention paid to the super market, it's quite easy to miss the small strip that Hama is part of. When we first walked in around 5:30pm, there was 1 couple dining inside and, by the time we left, there were only 2 tables occupied other than ours, so foot traffic was unsurprisingly (and surprisingly based on the food) super duper light. The menu had all of the Korean classics - Japchae/noodles, bibimbaps and tofu stews. To start we ordered the Beef Baos (2pcs) and Seafood Pancake (4 pcs). First, we thought we might have ordered 1 appetizer too many with the baos, but this might have been the BEST thing we ordered! Beef was tender, delicious and plentiful within the baos. The Seafood Pancake was good too and a solid pick if you're seeking a simple appetizer. For entrees, we got the Seafood Tofu with Clam, Mussel, Shrimp and Stir-Fried Vermicelli Noodles with Beef. The Seafood Tofu came out piping, boiling, bubbling hot and was served with a side of white rice. It was excellent. Some of the best stew tofu I've ever, ever, ever had. The Japchae/vermicelli noodles with beef was delicious too - specifically, the beef was very flavorful and tender like the beef for the baos. It seems Hama is seriously underappreciated in the neighborhood and that's a shame for them, but a big win for diners like us who love finding those gems. The flavors are excellent here and this place should be swarming with people. We will absolutely be returning soon.
