It was not super busy when I came in on a Saturday morning. The matcha was very strong and it was not too sweet. I feel like the drink really encapsulated all the mango sticky rice flavors. I think they also had a banana pudding matcha when I visited here last time. In addition to matcha, they also have coffees here, so it is the perfect spot if you are taking folks who like coffee or matcha. The service is quick, and the cafe inside is very cute. I'd stop by here if I was in Phoenix.

The provolone on top was a slice melted, no shredded cheese. It just didn't hit. My Mexican friend said the sauce wasn't very good either, I thought it was okay. I didn't even eat half of my meal. I will say, his burger was very delicious. Super juicy, and fries were cooked well. I thoroughly enjoyed my matcha as well. The chilaquiles were just so bad that I can't give a higher rating at this time. Since the burger was so good, I'd love to see what the other dishes taste like.

This is My absolutely number 1 Favorite Place in the whole wide world! Every morning the first thing I do since this establishment opened, I get in my car and go get my two special coffee drinks for my day. I've had every single coffee all over the valley, and if you have not been here as a fellow "coffee-Connoisseur," you don't know what you are doing. I am not really a coffee drinker, however, The Human Bean has won me over! In Phoenix with temps in the triple digits, I order a 20 oz. lemongrass tea with passion fruit and lemonade. Yumm, yumm, delish thirst-quencher. I did ask if they gave out their used coffee grounds to customers and they said they were not allowed to. Boo-hoo corporate--coffee grounds are great for keeping away pesky critters and great for the garden compost. Also, another reason for me to keep coming back! read more

They're a whole mission, starting with the coffee they serve - from an organization in Honduras that employs single moms to harvest the beans, and provides a safe home for children who are experiencing neglect and abuse. The young people with disabilities who are employed in this little coffee shop absolutely shine. They are a delight to have around. I especially loved meeting Josh today - he was so full of joy and really fun to talk to! They have a large, welcoming space with comfy seats, a play area for kids, and a small shop that celebrates and supports the disability community with really cute t-shirts. Generally speaking, places like this are often all heart and mission, often times at the expense of everything else, but Ri's somehow managed to do it all.
