Pawn shop on White Mountain in the Pinetop-Lakeside area. It's a large building with a huge parking lot. The store has a good inventory of musical instruments, cameras, outdoor equipment and they even have a couple boats and some outboard motors. They also ha d a smattering of other things. If you want what they have, there is a decent selection. We were looking at the boats and didn't see anything we were wanted. My shipper in Guam has been trying to ship my 4 guns from Guam for 2 months now. The store will not return their emails, answer their phone calls, or even respond in any way. I have gone in to the store on 4 occasions, wondering why my guns did not arrive. I finally figured out these guys just want to make the big bucks. I noticed it when I heard them offer bubkis to a girl for an almost new Apple Watch. They don't really want to do transfers. It is a shame, as a collector of "pretty" guns I expect I will ship in 6-10 guns this year, and buy 2-3 high end guns as well. Great inventory and knowledgeable staff. We worked with Emily, who is amazing. We're first time gun buyers and Emily took the time to go through options and answer questions. She is super cool and knows her shit. The place is awesome and doesn't have that "pawn store" feel. It really feels like a small town store with better prices than the city (from Phoenix) and a much, much more available and knowledgeable staff. We did get a Brady hold from ATF but John explained next steps and laid out the options. Just like Emily, John knows his shit and is awesome to work with. Called on Thursday afternoon and Paul was able to get us in the following morning for a private class. Paul was very professional, yet fun, and an amazing shooting instructor. Stopped in this week for my first time. Im a new resident in Show Low and was excited to check out the local shop. Its huge from the outside and the inside holds up to that too. I love the pawn shop/gun shop/tool shop vibe! They are sort of like a mans man kind of shop! I loved the variety. I was looking for a magazine for a 1911 Kimber in 9mm. I wasnt expecting much of a selection to be honest but I was wrong. They had 3 different brands/models. One of the younger employees gladly walked me over and we started comparing and talking quality and what not. He left me be and I kept browsing. Finally I made my decision and they opened the product and helped me make sure it would work! I was real happy with the way I was treated, no joke. They said go check out the gun range and man they have a lot of rentals there! Cant wait to shoot some of em! Gun prices were about right on based on what Ive seen in store and online. Dave Wilson is an instructor there and taught my daughter for the intro class and then instructed her on the range. Really good guy. Patient, calm, and knowledgeable, he put her at ease and did a great job. He even modified his schedule to accommodate ours. Kudos to Dave and glad we found him, he did well. Great indoor range facilities up to 25 yards away for targets. Remember though you must bring lead free ammunition to use otherwise you'll have to buy their ammunition which is reasonably priced. read more

Took the whole family for a private gun training and safety class with Paul Parks. Paul was great was us and the girls and most importantly emphasized gun safety with our teenage girls. Then he was patient with us on the range and very encouraging. We feel so much more comfortable now and will hopefully see him again for more instruction. read more

As a regular customer, I get treated well. There are other gunshops in the area, but none as well stocked nor as well priced as the Hub. The only reason to go elsewhere is if you received a giftcard. Treat the staff with respect and it'll come back to you ten fold. I've always loved the saying, "if you meet a jackass before breakfast, you met a jackass. If you meet six jackasses before lunch, you're the jackass." Many of the negative reviews here may indicate from where the issue(s) originate. I've seen plenty of jackassery in the Hub, none of which was originated by the staff, but perhaps reciprocated in kind. I go there often and will continue. read more

I have been a frequent customer of the Hub from opening day and even before that at the previous location in Showlow. I can honestly say that I have never been treated bad or felt like I paid too much. Frank Russell has kinda become my sales guy there and over the years I can consider him a friend. From purchasing firearms, stereos, tools and bikes and many other categories that they offer I have always felt like I was getting a fair end of the deal. My latest commitment was the SIG MAX on the LAYAWAY plan that they offer. The only downside is the amount of time I spend looking at pictures online of it and waiting for the day I can take it and use it in their amazing indoor range. My review is based on a gun safety/self defense basic class for ladies that I took last month at the urging of a girlfriend who wanted me to take this class with her. The NRA instructor, Bruce Owen, was VERY impressive - highly knowledgeable, competent, engaging, very personable, and patient with all questions. The experience was enjoyable, as well as very valuable and informative, and I would even consider re-taking the class as a refresher, because so much information was covered. Other staff working in the range area with the instructor, including a young man named Andrew, also were attentive and helpful with questions, sign in, etc. Hopefully more related class offerings will be made available. Having to pawn something is bad enough but when it has sentimental value it's even worse but we all know such as life we come into hard times where we have to do what we have to do. In saying that I myself have run into those times and had to pawn a few different items one in particular that means the world to me. These amazing people not only gave me top dollar for the item I took in but when I fell on even harder times and the day came to pick it up or lose it they worked with me and then some. The amount of respect and appreciation I have for these people is off the charts and you better believe they are stuck with me I wouldn't take my business anywhere else. This business is the worst! The owner,( Mike) has zero integrity or customer appreciation. Yesterday I called to check on ammunition. I was told that they had it in stock & that they have a limit of 2 boxes per customer per day. I went in & purchased 2 boxes, as did my fiend. After making the purchase, the short hefty dark hard young man asked if we lived in the same household. We said no & asked why. He said the limit now was 2 boxes per household per day. We again stated that we did not live in the same house hold. This morning we went back & stood at the counter being totally ignored for about 10 minutes after which another employee came to help us. The arrogant dark haired employee then said that they changed the policy to 2 boxes per week. When I called to speak with Mike (owner) I was treated very rudely. He said he des not sell to he "Flat Landers" ( people from either Phoenix or Tucson), I told him I live up here & he had nothing more to say. I'm not sure if it is because I am a woman or if he is just a jerk, either way he will never see another penny of my money & I am spreading the word, DON'T PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS!! read more

I called about some shells and was told by an employee the limit was 2 boxes a day. I purchased 2 boxes that day. The employee was very rude and kept saying it is all about integraity. I left and went back the next day only to be ignored by the employee from the first visit for about 10 minutes. Another employee came over and asked if I needed help, I told him I needed 2 boxes of ammo. The employee from the previous day then told the gentleman no and that they had now changed their policy to 2 boxes a week. I then left the store. I called the store to speak to one of the managers Mike. I was explaining to him what had taken place and he explained that they had made that decision this morning and also stated we do NOT sell to flatlanders from Phoenix or Tucson and was very rude also. I expained that I am a resident of the mountain and that as long as I have the cash to pay it should not matter where I am from. I will not go back to this store as they have no INTEGRAITY what so ever.
