We have 2 very high energy pups that need to be watched closely, otherwise they will inevitably get into trouble. PawsBarkPlay was recommended to me by someone who had a particularly difficult rescue dog. Leah took time to try and get to know the dog before she agreed to walk him and she refused to charge the owner (who paid her anyway) for the first few visits because even though she spent more time than normal at the house she wasn't able to get the dog to warm up to her enough to walk him the first couple times. When I heard this story I thought two things: 1. There's no way this person was actually that nice. 2. I have to get her to walk/ sit my dog (Birdy) To be honest, everything seemed strangely too good to be true. Down to the business cards which were nicer that any I've seen (including my own) and the fact that she was licensed and insured?? Like I said, I didn't think the dog walking business was that serious but she's got it all. The card even says that she's pet first aid & cpr certified (I forgot to ask for proof but I believe her). Anyway, when she showed up I found out that she had recently moved here from the south which explained everything, she has not yet been corrupted by our New England brash way of thinking. She was the sweetest person and took to Birdy immediately. I should say that Birdy is very well behaved and not at all aggressive but she's cautious about new people. Birdy ran to her like she was a long lost relative, I was shocked and a little jealous. Leah told me that she just recently started this business but you would never know. Her prices seem middle of the road for what I've seen out there ($25/30 min walk) but her service and level of care is beyond what I expected and make her prices seem cheap. I was surprised to see that she didn't have any reviews but I have a feeling that her clients are trying to keep her a secret like I thought about doing. As a Yelper, though, I felt obligated to leave this review but she absolutely deserves it. Hopefully she'll keep it in mind when she gets busy!

The bad news, my mom could no longer take care of her dog, Gizmo. I started out patching in different dog walkers using Rover. Very complicated with too many cancellations. SONO walkers stepped in to totally take care of all the dog's needs. They have not missed an appointment for months. Twice per day x 7 days per week. They also make sure Gizmo gets fed and they take him to groomers when needed. Happily I called Chewy and the agent was terrific-said since he was my service dog needed a flexible collar. She called several suppliers to see if they had right one. Outstanding service and A+ communication…read more About a year and a half ago, we realized we were going to need a professional service to take care of our aging mixed breed, Honey (lab/ridgeback/mutt), when the neighbors' teen who'd been doing it was headed off to college. After meeting with a few service providers, felt a trust with Celeste that she'd take care of Honey like her own. While the price is more than the kid next door charges, it's been well worth it, as Honey actually gets exercise via walks, and attentive care. For instance, one time this summer, when Celeste found her semiconscious from a virus, she took her to our vet and called us from the road to let us know. That says a lot about the kind of proactive care they give. In addition, TLC and Celeste have been great, including special trips by the house when we've worked late or gone to dinner with friends, weekend trips/stayovers, you name it. In the end, a great decision that we're still happy with to this day.
