However, we had a lot of problems from the beginning. We have an older chocolate lab that gets along with every dog she met. The first time we picked her up from a overnight she had scabs on her ears, and we were told that other dogs were humping her in the general play area, I guess biting her ears at the same time. (We have never seen this happen to her before). I asked why those dogs were not separated and they said they didn't notice soon enough. The second time it happened again, and preemptively separated her from the rest of the pack by keeping her in the kennel all day. I didn't think that was fair vs. removing the aggressors. I asked if she had at least been given a walk or some kind of play time to offset being kennel all day, and they said no that would have been extra. I was upset because no one notified of this and we would've gladly had paid if needed. Most recently we had her boarded overnight and called in advance to let them know we would be coming for an after hours pick up, which they said was fine. Apparently that message never got to the person who was on the overnight shift. When we got there, no one answered. We knocked, called, and rang the doorbell for a half an hour, and no one was in the building. About an hour later, we got a call from the person who was on the shift who apologized and said they had stepped out for dinner. This is very upsetting considering the advertised 24 hour person care, and if no one was in the building for over an hour, who was there to watch if something happened like a fire or a fight or a health concern? On top of it, that person is the director of the facility and should have known better not to leave the premise. Have your dinner in a break room, but don't leave the building for over an hour unattended. We went back the next morning to get her and the staff did not even know she was still there! It blows my mind they have no record of the dogs in their care? At the end of the day the facility is not run professionally, the care is questionable, the management is irresponsible, and there's false advertising about availability and on-site protection. If you love your dog, please reconsider boarding here until things change.

Our dogs absolutely love Leah, and we enjoy chatting with her every chance we can! We have so much trust in Leah to take care of our pups. It was a challenge when our last walker dropped us, but Leah quickly stepped in and put our minds at ease, speaking to her experiences and quickly getting along with our dogs. We have 2 very high energy pups that need to be watched closely, otherwise they will inevitably get into trouble. We've had cases of our pups getting away, and multiple scheduling issues with our last walker (NOT Leah :) ), but we have not once had an issue since Leah has taken over. With many dog walkers out there, and knowing how much people value their pets, we can not recommend Leah enough. She is super easy to work with, and most importantly, just someone you can trust!

Leah took time to try and get to know the dog before she agreed to walk him and she refused to charge the owner (who paid her anyway) for the first few visits because even though she spent more time than normal at the house she wasn't able to get the dog to warm up to her enough to walk him the first couple times. When I heard this story I thought two things: 1. There's no way this person was actually that nice. 2. I have to get her to walk/ sit my dog (Birdy) To be honest, everything seemed strangely too good to be true. Down to the business cards which were nicer that any I've seen (including my own) and the fact that she was licensed and insured?? Like I said, I didn't think the dog walking business was that serious but she's got it all. The card even says that she's pet first aid & cpr certified (I forgot to ask for proof but I believe her). Anyway, when she showed up I found out that she had recently moved here from the south which explained everything, she has not yet been corrupted by our New England brash way of thinking. She was the sweetest person and took to Birdy immediately. I should say that Birdy is very well behaved and not at all aggressive but she's cautious about new people. Birdy ran to her like she was a long lost relative, I was shocked and a little jealous. Leah told me that she just recently started this business but you would never know. Her prices seem middle of the road for what I've seen out there ($25/30 min walk) but her service and level of care is beyond what I expected and make her prices seem cheap. I was surprised to see that she didn't have any reviews but I have a feeling that her clients are trying to keep her a secret like I thought about doing. As a Yelper, though, I felt obligated to leave this review but she absolutely deserves it. Hopefully she'll keep it in mind when she gets busy!

SONO walkers stepped in to totally take care of all the dog's needs. They have not missed an appointment for months. Twice per day x 7 days per week. They also make sure Gizmo gets fed and they take him to groomers when needed. He absolutely loves going, he comes home exhausted every time. One thing that is especially important to me is that he never comes back home sick, which gives me peace of mind sending him. That has happened with other daycares we've tried, and I've heard stories from other people that are terrifying, but nothing to worry about with DGS! We've even moved about 30 minutes away and we still will bring him there for boarding/daycare/grooming. Overall, this place is the best combination of fun, safety, and genuine care. Outstanding service and A+ communication…read more About a year and a half ago, we realized we were going to need a professional service to take care of our aging mixed breed, Honey (lab/ridgeback/mutt), when the neighbors' teen who'd been doing it was headed off to college. After meeting with a few service providers, felt a trust with Celeste that she'd take care of Honey like her own. While the price is more than the kid next door charges, it's been well worth it, as Honey actually gets exercise via walks, and attentive care. For instance, one time this summer, when Celeste found her semiconscious from a virus, she took her to our vet and called us from the road to let us know. That says a lot about the kind of proactive care they give. In addition, TLC and Celeste have been great, including special trips by the house when we've worked late or gone to dinner with friends, weekend trips/stayovers, you name it. In the end, a great decision that we're still happy with to this day.
