Came in with my girlfriend for my birthday on Friday the 30th to do some pottery painting. We had a…read moregood time yesterday and we both had a great experience painting but neither finished, and the employee working at the time told us our pieces could either stay there or be taken home to revisit again soon. We choose to leave them there to come back this Saturday afternoon to finish them. When we came back around 6pm it was really busy so her and I waited until we were spoken to and then communicated to an employee we were told we could leave our pieces here- and were told they weren't supposed to do that and that they couldn't find the 2 pieces. We were both already sat and wanting to do the work so we were discussing if we wanted a refund or to start fresh on new pieces. We spent around 10 minutes talking about this and not once were approached, after around 5 minutes of waiting to be attended to the other worker in the store that was handling the party- asked what was going on and offered to look for the pottery again. She looked again and was able to find it- at this point it had already been 20 minutes, so she gave us the pieces and we were just sitting there. We proceeded to sit there and wait for her or the other worker to approach us about paint (since you cannot go get your own paint here by policy), and were not approached for another 15 minutes. At this point, even with how excited her and I both were to come back to paint.. with the experience of our pieces being lost- then found, and then being made to wait on top of that was kinda experience ruining and my girlfriend wanted to leave. Both workers were quite nice, especially the one handling the party just wish there was more workers scheduled for weekends that are so packed- felt kinda forgotten.

She was able to help quickly locate the animal that my daughter wanted to paint today and was able to give us information about where to get extra colors. What colors were in the basket at the table and how to add little detailed bits at the end with some of the more focused application models that they have that has the glaze in it. The only downside to the whole event was that there were not really a lot of fine brushes, however that maybe because I didn't know where to look I was trying to supervise my daughter while also painting something, but we finished within the two hour time limit and we're really excited about our pieces and they were able to help me put handprint on it from kiddo. And I would say that I did not expect that it would be $64 to paint and fire the two animals that we selected. Prices are clearly marked and I just missed the pricing on these but overall it was a good time. I absolutely know that we'll be coming back for a date night and or another kid event because we had a great time.

I was curious how things would change due to COVID, but the only changes were the paint was provided in smaller containers and they refilled them for you. You also left all paint items at your table in a basket so they could clean them between uses. There is a good amount of items to make a selection from and there are rotating seasonal items. The prices are pretty fair considering there are no sitting fees. The cost of the item includes the sitting time, the paint, and the firing. For Christmas we like to do family experiences. Picasso's Palette was what we found to celebrate in…read moreOcala. It was so surprisingly fun and relaxing. I called about 3 weeks in advance to book a private party in their small room. There were 12 of us (7 adults and 5 children). When I called to book I spoke with Anna who was super helpful in answering all of my questions. She was also our guide the day of the party. We were able to bring in our own food and drinks for the party. I will note that the party room does not have a ton of extra space if you have a larger party. There is a counter that can be used. Once our whole party arrived Anna gave instructions on what price point to stay within (pre arranged) and sent us off on our own to choose which ceramic we wanted. Then she instructed us to pick which colors we would like. You start with 4 and can add more as needed. Then we got to work. Our whole group was engaged in their project. We laughed and had a wonderful time. Once we were finished she collected our ceramics to store until they were put in the Kiln. The wait time was about 2 weeks. I would recommend for all ages and group sized.
