Edit (Sep 28, 2025): I went back and they gave me a cash…read morerefund, even though I originally paid by card, which I really appreciated. That made things right on the surface, but the experience itself still left a bad impression--especially for a store that specializes in cards. Here's what happened: I went in asking for sleeves to fit standard-sized Magic: The Gathering tokens--just regular cards, but double-sided. I explained that I already had sleeves for the rest of my deck, but those had colored backs, so I specifically needed clear sleeves on both sides to show both faces of the token. I picked out clear baseball card sleeves (which are the right size for MTG), but the staff told me they wouldn't fit and pushed me toward something else. The pack they sold me turned out to be 60mm x 87mm, which is too small. That's where the frustration came from. They were more concerned about whether I was using a "gaming" sleeve vs. a "sports" sleeve for feel, but they completely missed the basic form factor--which is way more important. I would've been fine with a sports sleeve if it fit. Instead, I left with something physically incompatible with the cards I clearly described. I don't expect every store employee to be an MTG expert, but this is a card shop. Knowing the standard MTG card size (91mm x 66mm) should be a given--especially if you're giving product advice. It's frustrating because I went in expecting the kind of help you get from a local face-to-face shop, but I ended up finding the right sleeves on Amazon after getting burned in person. I want to support brick-and-mortar shops like this. But when they miss something that basic--and then misguide the customer--that's a trust issue. The refund helps, but the experience still leaves me unsure whether I'll be back.

Lots of good singles and boxes to choose from, they really have a solid selection of everything. Have noticed the handful of times I've been in though that they don't have many new releases sports wise. Still a large selection though which is great. The reason for three stars is because of the prices for some items. For example, they have the WNBA Monopoly Prizim priced at $60(!!!) a box which is just insane. I can go down the street to Target and get a box for $30. A 100% markup on a readily available retail product is absurd, I understand a high markup on boxes that are harder to find, but that product is literally at every Target in the city. Noticed a lot of the other boxes were pretty expensive as well and priced higher than what you see online or in general retail. Overall it's a decent place, but there are better sports cards stores in the area. Also, idk if I've just caught the guy on a bad day the few times I've been in but the guy at the counter is always so stand off-ish. I know he's not the owner but it always feels like he's just waiting for me to leave when I've had questions about things.

Tim is knowledgeable, approachable, and clearly passionate about the hobby--no pressure, no attitude, just straight talk and fairness. The shop is well organized with a great mix of vintage and modern cards, and the pricing is reasonable and transparent. Tim took the time to talk cards, answer questions, and make sure I walked out with exactly what I was looking for. That kind of service is getting rare. If you're tired of overhyped shops or sellers who don't know their inventory, this place is a breath of fresh air. I'll absolutely be back and would recommend Tim's shop to any serious collector.

My son has described the moment he came across the signed card as maybe "the best moment of his life" and continues to stress how rare it is to get a signed card in a pack of Topps. I don't know if that is true, but it's charming. He also told me that he opened the pack in the shop and whoever was working at the time told him that he was super lucky and gave him a heavy duty plastic case to put his special card in for free. My guess is that a plastic card cover costs less than a dollar, but the interaction and kindness of the worker made me feel compelled to leave a review. Baseball is magical and I love the community it inspires. My son is asleep with his Jose Canseco card (lol) and we definitely will be back, and thank you to that nice employee.

He'll give you 5% of what they are actually worth. And he's extremely overpriced as is. Also, get the feeling that a lot of Julian's products are stolen. Trust us, this is not the kind of store you want to go into, especially if you have kids. Beware.

Julian constantly changes prices and tries to lowball a lot of his customers. He sold me a a dragon ball figure telling me it was 70, but when I came to the store, he bumped the price up to 110. Not cool man. His business ethic and the way he handles a lot of his business is sloppy and he's inconsiderate when he thinks about the buyer. Second thing, he will leave you with dirt in your eyes. Not to make a reference to Spiderman 3, but if you do trade with this guy for either store credit or one of his items, he'll most likely give you a terrible offer. Trust me. I tried trading some stuff for a particular item, he ended up lowballing the hell out of me for 300 credits for items well worth over 1000 dollars... If you really do enjoy collecting but want to spend your money wisely and come out of the store knowing you made a good purchase from a local business instead of retail, I suggest you go to any other collectible store like Nakama or Quake. Dave is a really cool guy and would go to great measures making sure you get a good deal or offer, but not Julian. This isn't a review to bash on his store for any unintended purpose, this is a review because I went to this guys store too long and had enough. Beware collectors.

CHECK YOUR VINYL IN THE PARKING LOT BEFORE YOU LEAVE!…read more Normally I love this location and I can't even fathom how much money I have spent here, but I am very disappointed in my last two trips to this store. On Saturday I went there to get some last minute items I needed to make stuff for a concert for my friend and I to use as accessories to our outfits. On Sunday I opened the Cricut Smart vinyl (HTV) I bought and almost half of it had been used. Someone must've bought it and used part of it and returned it. And this store must have just put it back on the shelf without inspecting it. I contemplated just taking it as a loss and not returning it because I knew I would get looked at sideways when returning it. But then I thought: No, I am not paying for someone else's shadiness and this store's lack of due diligence of inspecting items that are returned before placing them back on the shelves. Yesterday evening, I went back to the store with the pictured item (even though I didn't really have the time) to exchange it. And yes, I got looked at funny. The employees weren't rude or mean, but it was definitely uncomfortable for me. I never received an apology for the inconvenience and was made to feel like I was suspect. If I continue to visit this location for arts and crafts supplies (since Joann Fabrics will no longer be an option), I will be checking any Smart vinyl I buy, along with anything else packed in a way that is not fully visible, in my car in the parking lot of the store. But I will probably just start ordering my vinyl from Amazon because they are much better about matters like this and better customer service.

First, the service is exceptional - any time that I've had to get a picture framed, the people in this department are super friendly, helpful and attentive. I'm never quite sure what I want for a frame and matting but they walk me through all the many options, have always recommended great pairings and at the end of the day leave extremely happy. The value here is likely the best in the city. While I like to frequent local shops, Michael's is always has the best price by a mile when it comes to framing. Do stop-in if you have any framing needs. You won't be disappointed.
