Terri is truly interested in promoting good health, not some unrealistic stereotypical image that is unattainable. One of my favorite classes is Bodies in Motion, which is 30 minutes of stretching and foam roller work, something I never take time to do on my own. The Yoga classes are another favorite of mine - I leave feeling relaxed and revived. I love that each week is a new focus for the 30 minute training classes (e.g. Unilateral, Trainer's choice, Core). Each week is different and continually keeps you challenged and avoids boredom. The Focused Female occasionally offers educational classes on topics such as hormone health, quality sleep, and gut health. The classes are very informative and NOT a sales pitch. Dr. Sullivan is amazing!…read more I have tried quite a few different chiropractors over the past 12 years, and she is one of the best. She does all the adjustments I ask for every time I go in (from my jaw to my toes) and always leaves me feeling better. She understands that I have a limited number of appointments allowed by my insurance, and doesn't push me to come more often than I can afford. She's kind, personable, and interested in my overall well-being. She's also a nutritionist, and is open to any and all of my questions! She makes suggestions of things I can try to help heal my other ailments. She offers high-quality supplements at reasonable prices. One time, I took a supplement and had a weird reaction to it. Dr. Sullivan asked me to bring the bottle back in so she could take them herself and see if it happened to her, too. She not only gave me a full refund, but was willing to risk having the same reaction herself to make sure it was just a fluke and not something wrong with the supplements. Take my word for it...she really cares. (Turns out it was me...not the supplements. Go figure.) Her office is always offering freebies, including raffles and free chair massages! They participate in fundraising events for cancer research and donate to local charities. The other chiropractors that work with Dr. Sullivan are exceptional, as well! I have learned SO much from her about how to nourish my body pre-pregnancy. She really is an expert, and I leave every single meeting with a page full of notes (plus, she sends a very thorough personalized PDF with more details and an action plan, which this Type A girl appreciates!) In addition to helping me learn about fertility and pregnancy nutrition, here are some more amazing results from working with her: - I've lost 16 pounds (and counting) and my jeans fit again! - Abby helped me realize that my relationship with my primary care physician was not ideal, and through her encouragement, I found a new doctor that I love and trust - She gave me the motivation to cook at home instead of eating takeout for every meal, and my husband and I have enjoyed sitting down for dinner together - She did thorough testing, which made me feel confident in our game plan because we were working with real numbers - She has been a huge help for wellness overall - we even covered things like finding non-toxic beauty products and switching to glass food storage instead of plastic. - I've broken my binge eating patterns and I'm learning to eat when I'm truly hungry Every session with her is such a treat, and it feels like meeting with an old friend! She's an amazing listener, incredibly informed (understatement of the year), and passionate about what she does (I have never seen anyone get so excited about explaining gut bacteria, ha!!) She's super quick to return emails, and it's nice to be able to ask questions between sessions. She's also great at accounting for "real life" and making sure that every change is sustainable.
