This store is well stocked and orderly. The customer service if you need something is usually pretty close at hand. I don't usually have to go far to ask someone where something obscure is. I bought into the Milwaukee tools batteries a while ago, so I like to look at Milwaukee options while there. Lumber is limited and is hit ir miss on quality, but that's the same with all big box stores. If I need hardware or paint, I go to this Home Depot in Papillion. Do not shop at the Maple Street Home Depot. They are very disorganized and you won't get a straight answer. Even dealing the the GM Will Davis was truly a disappointment. We were interested in buying a John Deere riding mower that they had 1 in stock. No one was able to locate the key so we left our name and said once they could start it for us we would return within 1 hour to purchase the mower. My husband and I talked with an Assistant Manager and then called Mr Davis later that day to let him know of the situation and our intentions. The following day they called in the afternoon to tell us "whoops we sold the mower". Mr Davis told us he would look into what happened and get back to us. We've not heard from him 2 weeks later. Lowe's was willing to order the same mower for us and made a $4000+ sale by just giving us good costumer service! So beware of shady promises and follow through if you deal with Home Depot on Maple. read more

Such a frustrating and disappointing experience. Ordered flooring and when it initially arrived more than half the order was destroyed and could not be used. They have re-ordered the flooring twice and everytime my fiance calls to check in on this they say it's lost and have seen nothing like this. We have lost out on a ton of money as we have been waiting for this flooring for almost 2 months!! I placed an order for a product my doctor recommended for my home. The product has not been delivered to the store. I receieve TWO messge indication it was going to be delivered four days and two days ago. A trip to Customer Service both times revealed it had not arrived. Today (the last supposed delivery date) indication it was on the way to the store. HOWEVER, when I attemped multiple times to use the tracker, the service was not available. It was not available yesterday either. Customer Service could give no reason. So I wait. Home Depot best find a more reliable delivery service. Going to the Papillion Home Depot to remodel my kitchen was one of the worst mistakes I've ever made. Their "professional" measured my cabinets wrong, had the window the wrong size and the wrong location...and it went downhill from there. Communication was awful and sometimes non-existent. When there was communication about delivery dates and project info it wasn't always true. The had to ORDER THE CABINETS MULTIPLE times because they kept reordering the wrong ones. Case Description: We purchased a stove on October 13- Sales person over charged us Delivery people didn't install twice, still not usable On October 13, after 6 months of product and price comparisons, my husband and I purchased a whirlpool gas range/ double oven from Home Depot, papillion. The morning of my purchase, I compared both Home Depot and Lowe's websites again- Lowe's listed the item for 1299, Home Depot for 1279- so we went with Home Depot, because they both offer a military discount of 10%. Upon arriving to Home Depot, the salesperson told me the military discount only went up to 50$, however he could give me a 10% off coupon- I agreed. This should have made the price of the stove 1151. Adding parts kit (33.99), install (19.99) and taxes 90.83- the total should have been 1301.92. That was not the price I was charged- and when I asked the salesperson for an itemized receipt- he did not provide one. The total I paid was 1345. I was willing to let that go- however upon delivery of the item, oct 17, the delivery people did not install the stove- stating that it was the wrong gas connector. We had to have our contractor come out again at their direction to change the fitting for the gas ball valve. He came out that same day- the installers did not come out again until oct 25- and again they did not install the stove- stating that it had the wrong connector and indicating that the connector had been right in the first place. So they left, with our existing electric stove and left the unusable gas stove behind- and basically told me that I could hook it up myself after it had the right connector. I then went and purchased the original ball valve, and when I went to install it, discovered that there was simply an adapter on the existing ball valve- which if the delivery people had bothered to look, would have seen. I followed their instructions at hooking up the gas hose, used gas leak detector, no signs of a leak, however when I attempted to turn on the stove, I smelled gas. My husband and friends verified as well. I called whirlpool and they refused to come out to assess the stove until we had a professional assess. Saturday oct 26, a licensed plumber came and tested both with a gas detector and bubbles and verified that there is no leak in any of our lines- he however also smelled the gas and said he believes the unit itself is defective. Frustrated with this whole ordeal, I also called Home Depot about the pride discrepancy, and despite telling me on the phone that they would refund me the difference, upon me coming to the store and expecting the refund, Rene the sales associate told me that she had no way to verify the price and would not grant me the refund- so she wasted an hour of my time and created more frustration. At this point, we still don't have a working stove and we over paid for the stove that doesn't work! And we have paid hundreds of dollars in contractors and plumbers and being forced to eat out due to Home Depot and whirlpool. read more

I have had nothing but good experiences here! When we first moved to the area I needed to fix my toddler's bike. We got it used so it was missing the push handle to let me steer her. The staff spent about an hour and a half creating a new handle for me which still is working perfectly a year later! Every experience since has been equally helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. When looking for building suppliers or hardware, Home Depot should be the supplier of last resort. I only go there if I can't find what I am looking for at Menard's or Lowe's. This happened, when I was looking for mounting brackets for an older-style steel kitchen sink. I had purchased the same item years before, because they were the only store that stocked them. First, I walked into a nearly empty store, and the employees were hard to find. They were all congregated into little groups, socializing in the back of the store, rather than assisting the few customers that were there. When I finally flagged one down to help me find the needed hardware, and he eventually found a packet of mounting brackets, which he thought were the correct type. It turned out that they were the wrong type and that they no longer carried the correct type. I finally found the correct type at Ace Hardware, and I eventually brought the incorrect hardware back to Home Depot for a refund. Home Depot would not refund my money, even with a receipt, because too much time had lapsed since my purchase. The customer service people were like corporate robots, reciting their exchange policy and calling me "sir" every other sentence. They issued me a store credit in the form of a plastic card, which I have yet to use because I have no desire to go back there. Home Depot does not hire knowledgeable employees, and their "customer service" is the worst in the industry. read more

It's ridiculous how good these employees are. Today I went to the plumbing aisle & a guy asked what I needed & we had a nice conversation about my toilet. We found what I needed & I was outta there. Nice greeter, very nice cashier. I used to live a mile from there, & I'd go in several times a day when doing a project. What's so awesome is that I could always find someone knowledgeable about electric stuff in the electric dept. Same with plumbing, paint, lumber, hardware. It seems silly writing a review for a big box store but I had the best experience with the Garden Department this last week. I recently moved to Omaha from Washington D.C. and am scrambling to get some landscaping done at my house. Having moved from a different planting zone I was a little unsure of what all I would need and which perennials had the best chance of coming back year after year. Karen was amazing! My trip could have been at least an hour longer if I had been left to my own devices trying to find each of the plants I knew I wanted in the maze that was there. Not only did Karen know where everything was and went out of her way to help me find everything quickly but she was extremely knowledgable, helping me find the perfect varieties of the plants I knew I wanted and also making suggestions for the areas I was uncertain about due to light exposure. I couldn't be more happy with the way everything turned out at home. I was also extremely happy that she took the time to explain that Home Depot offers a 1 year guarantee on all their perennials. I just need to keep the receipts and if anything doesn't make it I can dig them up and bring them in to have them replaced. It makes me feel much more comfortable knowing that. Ernest was also fantastic helping me move the copious amounts of lawn and garden stuff I purchased at the store. They seem to have a fairly good system of getting people loaded up with the larger bags of mulch and other things in front of the store but bear with them, they get ridiculously busy on the weekends. After having a less than stellar experience at Menards early in the week, I definitely think I will be driving the extra distance to this Home Depot for all my future needs. Good management often fosters good employees. I certainly hope that Karen and Ernest have the best management team behind them because they were amazing. read more

I always used to be a Menards person. Growing up in a small town, Menards was the closest store to us. Since moving to Papillion, Home Depot has been my go to for home improvement needs, and trust me, there have been a lot. Not only is it the closest store to me, the associates at this store are extremely eager to help, and very knowledgeable as well. Having a background in construction always helps, but the associates know their products in their departments well to help assist in areas I don't know as well as others. Customer service is great, I'm sure it is the same at all locations, but even without having a receipt, they can look up items by the card used. Even then, they are extremely helpful. Just yesterday, I had called about some LED light bulbs that I had purchased about a year ago. The bulbs had a 5 year warranty, so they told me to just bring them in. Along with the bulbs, I had a shovel that I purchased a few months ago which also had a 5 year warranty, that had broken. I didn't have a receipt for either item, and they couldn't find proof of purchase on any of my cards. Since all three items did have a SKU# for Home Depot on them, they gave me a full refund for the light bulbs, when I had purchased a package of 4, and only 2 were the problem. They also gave me a full refund for the broken shovel, as I had purchased another one already. To top it all off, they gave me another box of light bulbs for free for the hassle. I even offered to pay for the new ones since I simply wanted an exchange for the malfunctioning ones and they insisted. These aren't cheap bulbs at $20 a box for 4. This is just one example of many experiences for me at this location. Places that take care of customers like this will keep customers! read more

I special ordered a bathroom vanity that was supposed to be delivered by 11am on February 26, 2021 I called the store at 4 p.m. to see if my order was in because I had not received an email with the status, the kid who answered was very polite and said yes the order was in. I went with my husband Saturday the 27th at 6:30 pm 4-5 cars in the parking lot not 1 vehicle in curbside pick-up (which is the option I chose when ordering) I needed to run in to grab a faucet for the new vanity so I spent another $400.00 in store on top of the $1,600.00 vanity (not complaining about price, but when people spend that kind of money you would think they could at least provide good CS) so I walk up to CS wait in-line and then proceed to tell the blonde young girl at the counter that I'm in pick #1 if they could bring my order out I will be waiting, she said oh sure gets the order number my info at 6:59 p.m., I wait in my truck and at 7:22 p.m. I still have yet to see anyone coming out, so I go back inside and wait in line for 3 minutes only 2 people working the computer's and 10 other employees standing behind them on their phone. I get up to the counter, and I ask her if they forgot about me? I'm still waiting, she says oh let me check so I then tell her its been close to a half hour I need gas and how long is this going to take? Deer in the headlights look and she says umm hold on, I said no I'm in pick-up 1 I need to go and she replies I will get someone to get the order. I walk back out to my truck and get a call at 7:28 p.m. and it is an employee from the store and he says I need you to pull up under the metal awning, so I did no big deal, and then nothing waited and waited and waited I look back down by the entrance door where CS is and the guy who was in line in front of me the 2nd time I had to go in, after waiting a half hour is being loaded, now I'm furious again about 10 kids standing around 3 of them texting on there phones and I still cant get any help from the Incompetent staff. I finally have this (kid) but smart ass ask me what I'm waiting for and I said well for the last 45 min my vanity that no one can seem to get out here to me and I'm about to run out of gas, he says ma'am we will get to you when we can, uum no I have been here longer than anyone else waiting for my order and everyone else but me has there order (I had a few choice profanity words) but as I'm talking to him all of the incompetent staff is staring at me now getting loud because this kid who must think he doesn't need to offer any CS to me turns his back while I'm talking to him and keeps walking, (wait it gets better) then one of the incompetent female staff walks over in the middle of my conversation about my order rudely interrupts me without saying excuse me and said hey I need you to stay here (talking to the male staff I was in a convo with) and I need so and so to stay over there. I said are you F****** kidding me you all are F****** idiots here and I walked out the door and left. I called as soon as I got in my truck to speak to a manager who was John I told him the situation and he was very apologetic and was going to see what was going on and why this happened. I told John that I was going to come in and get a refund and order somewhere else, I would rather pay $2,000.00 for the same vanity else where then to ever give them my business again. John said he would make it right, I told him we own our own business and picking this vanity up was hard to find time to do. I told John that I would ask my contractor if he could pick it up today because I did not want to ever step foot in this place again, but I need my bathroom finished and did not want to wait another 3-4 weeks for one, he said sure that was fine so I send my contractor to pick it up today, he calls me and said Lacee bad news they cancelled the order and its not there for pick-up. Wait what who TF said cancel the order??????? I would think I would need to sign something saying that I wanted it cancelled right?????? I call John (the manager) immediately and he puts me on hold apologizes again and said he has to locate it because one of his staff said that when I left I said (cancel my order) so you just cancel an order without me signing acknowledgement that I want it cancelled???? John took my number and said he will call me back. I'm done I will never ever give my business to Home Depot ever again. My husband and I own 2 big commercial construction companies in Omaha and I will keep my business at Menards & Lowes, I see why they always have full parking lots and Home Depot does not. read more

Do not do business at the Papillion, NE Home Depot store! Do not ever use Home Depot to buy/install carpeting! Do not ever use Crew 2 for any installation services! You will regret it. After 5 unique failures to install the correct carpet, 6 weeks of no use of a third of our home (never mind that we have to completely start over choosing/ordering carpet), 3 canceled family events, etc., the only thing the store, the district, or corporate can do...is give us our money back. They've had our money since April 7. It's June 13th! I've even used vacation time to be home for their botched installs. It's evident they are incompetent, unable to provide carpet anywhere near the quality of what is advertised, and do not care about their customer. I'll say that last part one more time. This store was closed before their posted closing time. I therefore was not able to get the part I needed which delayed the project. I called the main office in Atlanta and they stated that is Home Depot's policy - to close early. Sounded like they want people out of the store by closing time. Which means they have to lock the doors earlier than posted. When I asked what time Home Depot locks their doors, they didn't have an answer.
