purchased a brand new GE washing machine, from Home Depot and in less than three weeks the gearbox, tub, and several other major components failed. Because I've had the machine for more than 48 hours, Home Depot has refused to replace it. Instead, they plan to order parts and rebuild the unit. According to the appliance technician, the repair cost will exceed $800--on a machine I paid $500 for. This is essentially a complete rebuild of a brand new washer, which is unacceptable. I did not purchase a rebuilt or refurbished machine--I purchased a new one. I am requesting a full replacement, but this has not been honored. read more

1 year and two weeks ago I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator from Home Depot. The warranty was for one year. Home Depot refused to do anything when it went down nor did Frigidaire. This seems to be an excellent example of planned obsolescence which is unfortunate because the products are made in North America. read more

Don't shop here - they make promises and dont keep them! They had my wife wait from 11-4pm at our new home to get our $6k worth of appliances and called at 3 pm and said they would be there in 20 minutes and never showed up - got a text message at 4:15 saying they were not coming. instead of coming back the next day they decide to wait another seven days before they deliver and after much complaining they promise to be there Saturday between 10 and two again they never showed and never called. That's two days my wife has waited for them and never showed up and never called. Now they say they were coming Saturday who knows what's going to happen? Do not shop up here!!! read more

Very disappointed in the response I received from the Home Depot staff and management at the Pace, FL Home depot. I wanted to purchase some items from the store, but they would not apply the Veterans discount because I did not have a smart phone with their app. I had my VA card, and driver's license, but being a combat wounded veteran was not good enough. I am listed as a veteran, on the Home Depot website but they stated they would lose their job if they gave a discount without me having the code on my smart phone. So I assume that their discount is just an advertising ploy to get people to add their website to their phone so they can monitor our activity. Lowes and Ace have just gained a little bit more of my business. read more

I was at Home depot this morning at 9am. IN spite of the hrs of operation that the nursery opens at 8am it was closed. I called and they stated it was to cold (46 Degrees) to open the nursery. I would have to come inside and pay for what I needed and the go around the side for a forklift operator. Baloney. Went to lowes and was loaded and out in 20 minutes. Employees out and about doing their work.I guess I will stay away from sissyland. read more

Pro Account. Went in today trying to buy some lumber. Was needing about $2500 in materials for a build. Started at the 6x6x12's but the 8 that were on shelf were the damaged rejects that no one wanted. Saw two full pallets of what I needed above, asked to please pull them down so I can purchase. The dept manager said no, that he didn't have the room. There was clearly enough room on the existing shelf for the pallet. Told the store manager, he just said that he'd go address it. Didn't offer to even get them down. So I just took my business to the Lowes down the street, same lumber prices anyway. Just started using Home Depot for all my Pro purchases because they had better quality building materials, then this happened. read more

Purchased a dishwasher July 4. Told delivery would be July 12. When I called to check on delivery was told - long story - it had been changed to August 8. Calling the store was useless. Store manager did nothing but pass it off quickly. Customer service left a voice message that if I called them back by 5, they could work something out. Their voice message was at 4:55! Two weeks later I get an automated call from the delivery service saying they can't deliver July 26. Where the hell did that date come from????? Calling the delivery service was even more useless. Apparently their delivery technique is to set dates on their own, because everyone is just sitting around their house everyday waiting for them. I've been doing business with Home Depot for 30 years. I've always been impressed by their service. But, this is now horrible. The delivery service is absolutely HORRIBLE. Support in the store was USELESS! No wonder people shop on-line for everything. When a brick and mortar store offers service this non-existent, why not? Home Depot, you are a pathetic shell of the company you once were! read more

Needed help at one of the aisles. Couldn't find one of the employees at a nearby aisle so I walked up to the customer service, none of the 7 employees welcomed to help me. I approached another employee and he ignored me as I verbally expressed my greeting and request for help. read more

Home Depot is nice because it's a one stop shop if you know what you're doing. Unfortunately, for the lot of us amateur home improvers, the store is understaffed in terms of people who know what they are actually talking about. The store itself is fairly well organized at least and the prices are competitive. read more

I hate having to come to Home Depot. The store is dirty, piled up, dusty and trying to find someone to help you is ridiculous. I'd much rather pay more and go to Hall's or Lowe's. Went today and we asked for a handrail...the lady did not know what it was. The man behind the counter said while we waited on that we should buy AC service from them on sale through today for only $19.95... When they finally directed us ....but would not go with us....it was not on the aisle they said and we couldn't find them to ask again. read more

As Home Depots go, this location is better than average. I've never had a problem finding somebody to consult with for projects around the house...unlike the store on Davis Hwy. in Pcola, where your plaintive cries for help echo down broad corridors bereft of orange-aproned employees. The folks in the Pea Ridge store (yeah, the address says "Milton," but this store is miles from anyplace that Miltonians consider the outer bounds of Milton) are plentiful and helpful. They don't act like ingrates that hate their jobs, for sure. I considered plastering a 5-star rating on this one, but there's not enough truly superlative things that I can enumerate to deserve that. read more

I never write reviews for giant chains, but my husband and I had a GREAT experience today. We came in not knowing what exactly we needed and with the help of the associates, we were able to narrow it down to what we didn't even know we needed to begin with! My husband was also looking for a trash can to throw his smoothie king cup, and he was helped with even that haha (a lady asked if he needed help finding anything and she just took the cup for him). Day was actually made by the great service and team who thoroughly helped us! read more

My husband and I love Home Depot. We're always going there and I would've giving it a five star but the last time we were there a woman that worked there decided to correct another HD employee in front of us and very loudly. I felt bad for the what seem like new worker. I walked away but I could tell the employee was embarrassed. In the open and in front of customers is NOT the place to correct anyone. You do that in private. That horrible woman kissed me off so bad I haven't gone back to the store since.. so unprofessional!! Ah!! read more

Wish I could give zero stars. Where to begin? First of all we had a question about the tile and why it was warped in the middle.. Then we call the tile dept manager to come see it and of course he denies there's anything wrong, since he is a salary employee of the company. (and was completely unprofessional and rude doing so.) He proceeds in a scheisty-salesman manner to try to sell us grout we don't even need!! I'm not sure what kind of education level it takes to become a lower manager , but this guy seemed to be EXTREMELY UNDER-EDUCATED. Please... For your own good I implore anyone who has legitimate flooring need and doesn't want to be ripped off, to take there hard earned dollars elsewhere! read more

Do not get any flooring installed from this home depot. If its installed wrong they do not stand behind it. The installer is the one they protect, not the customer. I wonder who helps them keep their jobs. customers or installers. read more
