(March 21, 2024.) My experience at other Home Depot locations caused me not to expect much in terms of customer service here. I entered the store and found the shelving units (what I originally came to shop for) but didn't see what I needed. No problem. I then looked at the patio features and saw a glass-topped table with four chairs and an umbrella. A closer inspection revealed a sign on the umbrella that read "$129". (I may be wrong in my memory, it may have read $125, but that's not really the point.) I haven't priced patio furniture lately, but I thought that price was too good to be true, and thought it pertained only to the umbrella. But there were two stacks of boxes behind the display, containing the whole set. A young male associate walked past me, and I asked him if that price was for the umbrella or for the whole set. he said he didn't know; he was from another department, but he would find a garden center associate. It wasn't long before the garden center associate showed up and scanned the boxes and told me the price for the whole set was in fact what was on the umbrella. (In this time I had looked at Walmart dot com and saw a similar set for $380, with free shipping.) I told him that if it would fit in my tiny SUV, I would buy one immediately and take it home. He replied by saying that they deliver. Then, a member of management walked up. He also stated that the set was that price, and in fact they could deliver - but it would be a $35 fee. No complaint from me. He also said that it could possibly arrive tomorrow or the next day. I was then told to go to the service desk and place a delivery order. And I did. The clerk at the service desk was as friendly and helpful as these other three associates, and she guided me through the delivery process. It arrived two days after. TWO DAYS. Everything was as expected. You can bet that I will drive the one hour distance if I need items from Home Depot in the future, even though La Grange is only 30 minutes away and I'm in that town twice a week. Home Depot seems to have all around better staffing than its competition. I went to Home Depot's competition to buy a few pieces of lumber and it was frustrating because they did not have the lumber labeled. Frustrated, I went to Home Depot and all of the lumber was labeled therefore I knew exactly where to find what I needed. Little stuff like that makes a difference. read more

This Home Depot store is okay but their delivery and customer service suck. We have been waiting on 3 vanities for weeks to no avail. They have scheduled 3 different times and failed to show up twice. The third time they said the "driveway was a on a hill" and they were afraid to drive up it..... called the store and they were zero help. Now I have to go to the store to cancel the order and walk across the street to Lowes for actual customer service. Pitiful. read more

The single worst Home Depot in America, they just don't care. They play games and leave you on hold for ever!

Struggling to get sub flooring in cart while 6 employees stand around at pro desk 20 ft away watching me, and laughing, hopefully not at me. I continually have service issues at this location. Either unhelpful or don't try to help at all. I spent 10 minutes looking for product with four associates around me and none of them asked once if they could help me with something, not could I get a word in while they argued about who was going to unload freight and where product was in the aisle. This is my last visit to this location. I will either use the location in Phenix City or Columbus moving forward! read more

Sunday, 7:35. Walking in, parking lot lights were turned off. The store does not close until 8:00. Was looking for a faucet real quick. Could not find anyone to help me. And now it's over intercom at the store was closing in 20 minutes to please bring my purchases to the front. I thought if the store was open, it was open and the parking lot would be lit and the prime sign on. I guess they won't to dissuade customers coming in after 7:30 making them think the store was already closed. read more

Terrible customer service. On hold 45 minutes and never got through. No resolution to issue. Only the run around.

I rarely go to Home Depot... The reason for that is because every time I go I have terrible service. I have gone maybe 5 times in my life and every time I have had crappy services here. Last time I went I had to get a new door for my home because it was broken into, well I went told them the size I need and then they gave me the wrong size! Then I return the door a few days later and the customer service were nothing but rude! Had an attitude the whole time I was trying to get help! I then return because I could not find a door anywhere else that was the proper size. This time though I find the door and measure it before I leave. Though it did take me a hour and a half to get help to get it down because a guy working there told me he was going to get me help then never returned. I had to finally go to the front desk to get help, they had it down in 5 minutes! I will not be returning... read more

This is review of the Buy On-Line pick up at the store process. Done this twice with good service both times. Today the person helping me was Nichole ; she knew what to do , how to do it, and took care of the whole visit. I wish I had gotten the name of the young man driving the fork lift ; he did a great job also. Thanks to these two; made the visit very good. read more

If you need someone to help you, go to Lowes. The staff at Home Depot was not helpful at all and pretty rude in general.

Night and day when you compare customer service/help to Lowe's. I'll never go back to this location. Bought a 75 lb sink and ended up taking it back because it was chipped, after we had plumbers out to put it in. The box was open but we couldn't see it until we took it out. The lady that helped us was not helpful at all unless you count her getting us a cart so that I could lift this with my boyfriend. I had to ask her for assistance so I didn't have to lift it. After checkout they called for someone to help get it in the car. After waiting a while we just did it ourselves. First of all, I don't understand why it was most likely returned and not checked before putting back on the shelf. Second, she said she had none in stock but then said we could buy the one on the shelf and that it should be fine even though it was opened. The same thing happened at Lowe's where they had zero inventory except one on the shelf that had been opened. He told us it was a return and wouldn't recommend getting it. Everyone we encountered at Lowe's was so much more welcoming and helpful. When they called someone to help get it in the car we didn't wait very long. This HD location needs to have a higher standard for employees. read more
