I keep giving Home Depot a "second chance" and it keeps letting me down. Especially this location. Placed an online order for ONE singular item on 05/05/25, delivery date was set to 05/07/25. I called customer service for all of HD on the 7th and was told that the item was IN THE STORE just not yet ready for pickup. That the latest it will be ready would be the 8th or 9th. I just called TODAY, May 10th, because there has been no update on my order. The lady who picked up was rude and then told me she's placing me on a "brief hold". I was on hold for 13 minutes before someone finally picked up and said "hi yes we have located all of your items. They are all here. None of them have been scanned in yet though" to which I inquired, what "items" since I only had ONE item. The guy on the phone couldn't answer me and there was an awkward silence and then he just says "we will send you an email when it's ready for pickup" and hung up. Worst customer service at a hardware store I've ever experienced. Time and time again. This will be my LAST attempt at ever dealing with Home Depot. I'd rather spend my money at Lowe's. UPDATE 05/12/25, I was finally able to pick up my order, 5 days past the original delivery and pickup date, and the lady who answered the phone a few days ago when I called is just as rude in person, her name is Quita. I've been searching for a new grill. On the Home Depot app, I saw one that I liked. According to the app, there were two available at this location. As I'm walking up, I noticed there are a lot of grills outside . I glanced through them and see the model that I'm looking for. But I don't want that one cause it's been sitting out in the rain for a long time. When I went in the store, the woman at the counter greeted me. I was pleasantly surprised by that. I told her what I was looking for she said let me get somebody to help you. The man came over he was polite professional. He looked up the model of the grill I was looking for. Invited me to follow him through the store as he was searching for the grill. We walked past the large display of grills in the area near the desk where I came in. It was not there. We continued on to the garden center. Out there undercover but still wet. I found the model that I wanted. He offered to check to see if they had any still in the box. I told him this one would be OK as it didn't appear to have been sitting in the pouring rain that we've had in the last week or so. He rolled it to the counter where I talked with the woman that read me when I first came in. She took my payment thank me for shopping at Home Depot. The man that helped me load it in the back of my truck and he also thanked me for shopping at Home Depot. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience. Customer service was top-notch. The price of the grill was reasonable. If the rest of the employees at Home Depot at this location are professional as these two were, this has to be one of the best places in the area to shop hands-down. I paid to have my floors measured by their flooring specialist in anticipation of getting new floors installed. The specialist came out and measured the floors. Before she left my home I asked her for a copy of the measurements. She refused to provide it. She said that all I needed to do was call in and have them emailed. I called in to recieve my measurements. I am on a budget and wanted to decide on carpet or vinyl plank flooring and understanding the measurements were critical to making sure I remained within budget. Home Depot flooring agents I spoke to over the phone refused to provide the measurements. They told me the measurements were the 'property' of home depot and the only way to find out what they were was to place an order. I paid for them. So how can they be the 'property' of home depot? The flooring agents were also pretty rough. I was yelled at repeatedly and hung up on. I ended up asking to speak with a supervisor. Tje first supervisor told me she couldnt see the measurements (it turned out to be a lie) and said I needed to call the store. I called the store and spoke with Alice who said the store could not see the measurements and had nothing to do with measurements. So I ended up calling the online people back. I spoke to another supervisor, a male this time, who said he could see the measurements but home depot would not allow them to tell what they were and it was at the 'discretion of the store' if I were to have my own measurements. I called back to the store and this time spoke with a different manager, whose name was Gwen, or something similar. She said that they could not give the homeowners the measurements without an order. When I asked her if she would escalate my concerns and have someone call she pretty much said she couldnt guarantee if anyone would call. Really? After the call with her I tried to reach out to Home Depot through Facebook messenger and they have finagled the messenger app to only allow certain people to contact them. All others are blocked. Home Depot really thinks very slowly of its customers. I'm now in talks with Lowes to install my floors. And Lowes charges nothing for the measurements whereas Home Depot charges. read more

I recently rehabbed my parents house from roof to basement painting. They have everything you need and helpful staff to find obscure items such as drawer pulls for a 43 year old house that used less than standard 3" size. Paint, stains, door locks, laminate floors, carpeting, tile, faucets, toilets, wood, appliances, doors. Everything you need is here or they will order it. I also love the garden center and tools. I think it is funny when staff asks my husband if he needs help when I am the one that spends thousands here. read more

Decent Home Depot with a good selection of home improvement items. My wife likes the garden area and typically buys $300 to $500 in annual plants each year. I like the electrical supply area with the exception of their inability to order items they are out of but showing that they are in stock - can we say shrinkage. Dyann also buys her Christmas lights here - she likes the 50 bulb strings and will buy up to 50 strings a year. Staff is friendly when you can find someone. An HVAC sales guy roams the store and will ask if you need a new system - he has probably hit me more than 30 times. He says he will remember me but he never does lol. read more

Home Depot is awesome. In the literal sense of the word. It's its own world, really. It's so massive and there's staff everywhere. What I love about Home Depot is that I know that I'll find what I'm looking for there re: home improvement. If it's not there, chances are, it doesn't exist. I've purchased area rugs -- very nice ones -- for great prices there. I've rented rug cleaners, I've asked for paint help. They're always so helpful. My favorite section of Home Depot is the lawn/garden center. I could walk around there for an hour. They have very healthy plants and a pretty good staff to help you with anything, from mulch to giant pots for planting. read more

This Home Depot store does NOT value their customer's time. It should not take 1 HOUR and 44 MINUTES to load 20 6" x 6" x 8' posts. If it wasn't for the fact that Home Depot sells Yellawood, I would have gladly, rather defiantly bought this lumber at Lowe's, and even used a coupon too. If Home Depot would have let me operate their forklift, I would have gotten the bundle of posts down from the top rack myself. But, Home Depot did not and I lost almost TWO HOURS of my day. Warning...Prepare yourself for a long story. I'm building a fence. I specifically wanted Yellawood 6" x 6" posts and I find these post at Home Depot. I prepaid for these posts and Nicole calls for a forklift driver, named Jave or Jaye, to assist with the loading. A forklift was necessary as these posts were banded together and stored on the middle and top tier lumber racks. I parked my truck and trailer at the loading area and waited and waited and waited. Mind you, the loading area at Home Depot is busier than a .99 cent buffet at a casino. I had to fend off a horde of vans and trucks to make sure the forklift had enough clearance to bring my posts out to my trailer. I even helped load about 30 bags of Sakrete and treated lumber into a box van for a guy building a deck in Oakland, TN while I waited. After waiting a long while, I flag Josh down and tell him my plight. Josh was not able to find him. I go back to Nicole and she broadcasts for Jave/Jaye while a guy cashier named Mo sits and watches. Jave/Jaye is locators and we start preparing to get my posts. Yes, myself included, we had to clear about 800 lbs of lumber and merchandise out of the isle to get the forklift near the middle lumber bundle containing about 12 6" x 6" posts. Jave/Jaye brings these posts to my trailer and Josh and I load them up. The forklift driver drives on into the store and I thought Jave/Jaye was headed back to the 6" x 6" posts. I thought wrong. After waiting another long while, I go find Jave/Jaye and he's assisting another Home Depot employee assemble an online order. Now I'm all for helping people out, but I would expect a fellow employee to understand that I needed to finish loading 6" x 6" posts for a customer. Common sense dictates you don't stop in the middle of loading heavy materials for a customer. Jave/Jaye and two others were having a good ole time shooting the breeze and laughing. I'm usually a pleasant fellow, but I made it known that I want to get this loading of materials finished. Finally, the last of the 6" x 6" posts are loaded on my trailer. At this point, I'm glad to be leaving the Wolfchase Home Depot. If there is a next time I need to shop at Home Depot, I will be headed toward Collierville or Olive Branch. Let me reiterate, Home Depot store does NOT value their customer's time. read more

Home Depot does not handle they're own disputes. I tried to return some purchases that are still in their original unopened package and was denied. I called the number they provided for resolution and it isn't even Home Depot. It's The Retail Equation which provided no information on why the return was denied. Then there is a drawn out process for disputing the denial requiring this random outside organization to send you and email so that you can send another organization a letter and then get something back in about 6 weeks! We purchased a microwave at the Home Depot in Cordova, Tennessee. With the microwave we got the installation service. We waited two weeks for them to finally come out and install the microwave. One of the installers was in a bad mood from the moment he got there, being rude to us and yelling at his partner outside. When he began working, he took two screws out and said that he could not remove the old one because it would tear up the kitchen to do so. He continue to be rude and fight with us when we tried to come up with a solution to remove the old microwave. Eventually it got to the point that we had to ask him to leave because he was being aggressive and rude. Come to find out, we were his last appointment and he just didn't want to be there. I, with no experience with the installation of microwaves was able to remove the old one and install the new. It was a little difficult but not enough to warrant his bad attitude. We were planning on buying all new appliances for our entire house at Home Depot but after this experience I am seriously reconsidering and may just go to lowes to avoid the bad service we received. read more

When I have had to return things in the past the staff has been easy to work with and has continually gone above and beyond my expectations. After ending business with the big competitor to Home Depot 4 years ago, I've been a customer and fan of Home Depot. They always have what I want where I can find it. There's an app for the place just in case I can't find what I need but I've really never had to use it except to get coupons. There's always an associate nearby to give advise, make suggestions or answer questions if needed. Home Depot is THE home place for me as I always have a home or yard project going. Love this place. Clean, organized and efficient! And don't pass up the self-checkout. It works every time. I have one negative thing to say and I'm reducing a star for this purpose: Home Depot has taken Apple Pay for months now after their credit card debacle. The last two times I've gone in, Apple Pay seems to be a thing of the past. This really smacks as its one of the most secure payment methods and considering the problems that the Depot has had wit credit card security. I don't feel secure swiping my credit card here even if it is insert the chip card now. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Home Depot, I seriously hope you will rethink your decision to not take Apple Pay as I am consistently seeking out merchants who do and will soon do business exclusively with those merchants. You above all should understand my desire to take my financial security into my own hands - my very own unique fingerprints in this case. read more

I had no problem with purchasing products at HD or costs. However, the after service is definitely lacking. They delivered my washer/dryer set with no issues, but the personnel over torqued the hose connection to the washer. They ended up stripping the connection, thus causing it to leak. This appeared after one wash. Since I travel at least twice a month, I was limited on days a replacement could be received. I was forced to take a half day of work off to receive my replacement since their window of delivery is 4 hours. unaccusable! Tools, Plant supplies, Hammers....ect...ect...ect. This place has almost everything you'll need in at least two flavors and six different colors. However they get a 4 star rating from me for the "RENT IT CENTER". They offer high end power equipment for rent by the hours or by the day. I rented a yard plugger and aerator that i could pull behind my small tractor. They have several sizes of walk behind self propelled pluggers but I needed the 4 foot wide pull behind rig to cover several acers of property. With this rig you can adjust the dept, and wight of the plugs. This peace of equipment cost almost $2,000.00 dollars but I was able to use it for 24hr for less than $50. What a deal. read more

I do not know what it is with the major chain hardware stores these days, but why is it that the help they hire seem to barely know anything about the department they are working in. The paint department couldn't make the color I wanted in a paint other than the brand the color was advertised in, that made no sense to me. I had to buy a more expensive brand because that is who made that color chart? As much as I dislike the local Lowe's due to it's managers, they were able to look the color up online and match it even though it was not one of their normal brands. This one could not. They also have a very small and not attractive selection of lighting. Still, overall I prefer the quality of the items they have here, I just wish I could get competent help when I am here. read more

I gave this location a glowing review after poor customer service at Lowe's, and had decided to give home Depot all my business. However, yesterday my husband called to inquire about purchasing for pickup two phone jacks. The lady who answered the phone refused to go look to see if they were in stock, and chose to instead (while pretending to look) complain to her coworker that she hadn't had a break all morning (it was 10:30 am) and told her not to answer the phone. When she came back, she told him they were out of stock, even though the website clearly stated there were 4. I then reserved two of them online, and lo and behold, they were available for pickup less than an hour later. Same location. I only gave this two stars instead of one because the woman who helped me this morning was very friendly and helpful. Memphis supposedly prides itself on southern hospitality, but I'll be honest. I've lived here for two years now, and am outright shocked when anyone is polite at all. It's very rare. One employee is commendable, the other clearly wasn't interested in doing her job. read more

We just had the best Black Friday shopping experience ever! We are in the middle of rehabbing a condo and need multiple home improvement supplies, so decided to take advantage of the low prices. Reco, the store manager was high energy on the mic and played disco music to match his high spirits. He personally helped me when I couldn't locate an item and then went to fetch a flat bed for an impulse club chair purchase. We then went to the Appliance section to purchase a washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher. Luther helped with appliances and rang up all purchases in less than 15 minutes! This is a review of this Home Depot's service. Though I have not had any problems with their inventory, I cannot speak in depth on that count. We recently moved to the area and found ourselves making several trips to the local HD for everything from paint to a new dishwasher. The staff has been consistently helpful, available, and informative. Moreover, they are honest - if they don't have or know something, they tell you immediately instead of leading you all over the store in aimless searching. They use their technology effectively and make every visit efficient. Unfortunately, the dish washer that we purchased and paid to have installed (at $30!) ultimately could not be installed due to our kitchen's geometry and the distance between the water hook up and the provided equipment. The installation sub-contractor told us he would refund the equipment and installation cost. Several days later I made a late-evening trip to the store to get some painting items and took the installation receipt with me to figure out how I was going to get credited from the refund. The customer service rep did get a bit flustered as my order was not input to the system correctly which resulted in a lot of confusion. Ultimately, after about 40 minutes of aggrevation, the manager figured out the problem; to my dismay, though, had she refunded me installation fee, TN taxes would have applied and I would have owed the store $50 instead of getting a $30 refund. Sympathetic to my plumber cost plight, she simply looked at the $50 of paint supplies that I intended to purchase and offered to just give me those items for free instead of refunding. All-in-all, I could not complain about that! The only reason why this is not a 5 Star rating stems from the dish washer issue - it would have been nice for someone to ask about the kitchen layout when scheduing the delivery and install appointment so that the right equipment could have been purchased with it so the $30 install could have been accomplished...ultimately, getting a plumber to do this cost me 10x's as much! Great service and pleasant staff who go out of their way to help out...I am a fan of the Home Depot at Giacosa Place! read more
