Definitely recommend ordering from Simpson's Hardware. I live out of state, and hesitated to order, but Simpson's had great prices and Rick was able to answer all of my questions -- so I took the plunge and ordered all of my kitchen hardware from him. Customer service is top notch. Rick is a little hard to reach on the phone, but he gets back to all emails in a super timely manner. Nothing fell through the cracks on my order, even when I had to reorder some pieces. Rick stayed on top of it the whole time. Super nice guy to talk to over the phone as well. read more

Doesn't matter where you live. Buy here!! I spent the weekend looking for the least expensive Emtek front door set and they beat everyone by $50. or more! I live in CA, so I was surprised when I got a call from Rick of Simpson's this morning. He looked at my order and realized I had ordered the wrong color, so he called to confirm. BINGO!! It was definitely the wrong color. I can't tell you what a hassle that would have been, so needless to say, I was so relieved he had caught my mistake. Who does that anymore?? I have ordered several Emtek products from Simpson Hardware, Mr. Simpson handled the orders himself. Today my cabinet maker said he was short one of the gorgeous crystal Emtek cabinet knobs, I contacted Simpson Hardware and as in the past, I received an immediate reply. They will simply ship me one additional at no cost. This is what you call customer service at its best. I am redoing my bathrooms next and Simpson will have my business. I ordered an EMTEK door knob from Simpsons. It arrived quickly. The only problem was, I ordered the wrong feature on it. Sent an email and they sent the correct part the next day, at their cost. though they have great prices beware of internet purchases. Their customer service is nearly non-existant and if any problem develops they will tell you to contact the manufacturer. They say this even though they sold the merchandise and are responsible for replacing damaged goods. They simply want to avoid the hassle and complication of replacing defective merchandise. I am shocked by these other reviews. I have nothing but high praise for Simpson Hardware. My first purchase was sent in a reasonable amount of time , it was an Emtek purchase so they say it comes directly from Emtek so it takes a bit longer. Trust me it is worth the few extra days their prices are hands down the best. I was so happy with them that I just made a second order and realized I entered the incorrect amount of pulls and called the next morning to inquire if I could change the number. I left a message and Ricky Simpson himself called me back within a half hour and said it would be no problem. I don't write a lot of reviews but I had such a great experience buying from Simpson's Hardware that I now feel compelled. I purchased multiple Emtek interior and exterior doorknobs from Simpson's Hardware for a complete remodel. The ordering was straightforward and the knobs arrived within a week or so. Now, this is where it gets good... One of the knobs shipped from Emtek with a broken part. I emailed Simpson's through the website link at 6:49pm PT asking about their return/replacement policy. Rick from Simpson's emailed me back at 6:57pm PT (8 minutes!) saying that he would have Emtek send me a new part. It arrived within a few days. So then my contractor tells me that he cannot use the replacement part for some reason and that I need to get a new knob. I email Rick again, this time at 10pm explaining my situation and he returns my email the next morning at 6am. Then he ships me out a new knob 2nd day air. I've never had such expedient customer service. Kudos Rick! read more

I wish that I had checked Yelp before buying from Simpsons. They have great prices, but they charged me a $100 restocking fee on a $233 order that I returned. Yes, they do post their policy in very fine print, but it's hard to find and not clearly worded. read more

I ordered some Emtek hardware from Simpsons Hardware but I ordered the items but the wrong finish. When I called to try to exchange it for the correct items I was quickly told that there was a 40% restocking fee! And that there were no returns after 45 days. I waited 59 days. When I asked about an exchange for the correct items I was told there is no such thing as an exchange! I shared with Rick (the owner) that I thought the companies policy was unreasonably punitive, NOT customer friendly and that he wasn't attemptimg to be helpful or customer centric. When I went on to let him know I would be writing this review, I was then threatened me with LEGAL ACTION, if I did not state the situation correctly. REALLY Rick??? I believe I have done that! If not I guess I'll be hearing from his attorney. I would not consider or recommend purchasing from this company again. According to Rick he is the largest Emtek dealer in the country! return policy and customer service is very bad. they claim emtek orders come in 5 days, but had to wait a month. then they delayed because of keying issues,i emailed and got no reply for a week. had to call to ask if i could return, then I could not return it because it was past 45 days. not flexible people to deal with. will not buy from them again. i will not buy my replacement lock from them either. read more
