HIGHLY disappointed in the stone countertops we received from Stone City! $6k + And the stone was broken by then while installing yet the left it in there anyway and told my wife (I wasn't home) that that's all they could do because there was no more stone that color. (Grey/White) We all know that's not the last of the Grey & White stone ever. Hahaha Poor quality installation. They broke the piece while cutting out the sink on site and instead of stopping and coming up with a solution... they just cut more seams and the cuts now are not clean and neat the corners, which should be round and seamless, now look like a kid used a drill to shape them. Not happy. Not to mention this stone seems a bit brittle on the edges. When we picked the slab they assured me that any of the brown streaks would not be used when they cut the stone for the various countertops but that wasn't true as you can see from the photos I'll include. Instead they look like they have coffee stains on them but NOPE, that's exactly how they were delivered and installed by Stone City. Take my advice and AVOID this business. You'll save yourself a lot of $ and headaches. read more

We wanted to get new counter tops and started by visiting a lot of places to get pricing and look at quartz. Stone City's was the cheapest by far, and had the same exact counter top we liked at another location for 2k less. It was a no brainer. Nelson was nice and made sure the guys were there on time. It was a fast process. I was nervous about seams not adding up or rough edges on counters as had heard horror stories from other people (not at stone city where that was an issue) But everything looks great. Only negative thing was upon my husband trying to put together the sink and faucet and disposal back, the guys had left quite a mess. We will have to get a plumber out to rehook everything. Other than that, great experience and we have awesome counters now. read more

Stone City has come through again!! Eight years ago, they did our kitchen counter tops with a center island. Perfect seams and fit. It's still beautiful. They just completed our master bath tops and it is perfect!! It required a half wall top, shower seat, window sill, wall side and split vanities with a center desk. They sent a young man to measure everything and when we were ready, they sent three young men to complete the install. These guys were true craftsmen. Every seam was sealed and beautiful. Subpar. I ordered a slab but found out it was defective and they didn't tell me until install. Colonial white slab but they used the area that had a red blotch, not a quality piece. They didn't catch it until it was installed and the owner, Nelson was to call me but he ignored the issue. Also, the granite had a cut in it where the fabricator obviously made a mistake. See pics. They don't smooth under edges like other companies do. You get what you pay for I guess! We also had granite installed in another area last year & it developed a green color on the corner, I found out it's referred to as "bloom" from the clear fillers used for defective areas, they couldn't resolve it so it's still there. read more

I hired Stone city in Memphis, Tennessee to do my cabinets after a recommendation from a friend who saw their work. She said they did a good job on her family members cabinets and countertops. My experience was not so good with them. I hired professionals because I expected quality work. I had to have them come out 3 times to correct things and I'm still not pleased. I have pictures to show the work is not quality. When I pay thousands of dollars for quality I expect to get it. The seal i. The crown molding was uneven and highly visible. They measurements of my cabinets couldn't have been accurate because they put a bar or crown molding on the side where the cabinets didn't go to the wall. Mr. Chen stayed my previous cabinets were like that. I have pictures, they were not. My friend suggested that I should have gotten customized cabinets for my kitchen. I told her what I needed wasn't my area of expertise and it should have been recommended to me. Mr. Chen laughed each time I explain my displeasure to him. His workers also put a hole in my way without telling me. I asked them about it and they owned up to it. I give Mr. Chen credit for only 2 things. That's sending someone out to make the seams in the crown molding even and less visible and sending someone to patch the whole up. I was in tears because I expected better and not good enough. I got so tired of going over my displeasure with him and him raising his voice telling me there's no way to fix it and you're always going to see something. I just paid and prayed. I wanted my restrooms done. I was going to hire them but they lost me and a friend as potential new clients. read more

We had them come out to install countertops in our kitchen, which turned out great! They told us not to run our dishwasher for like 8 hours or so. When I went to run my perfectly good dishwasher before they came to install countertops it was leaking all over the floor. We called and they sent someone out to assess the situation and have not heard a word back. It has been about a month and we still have a leaky dishwasher they have not offered to fix. It really upsets me to have someone come into to my home in which I pay for a service and they break something else and don't have the decency to make it right. Very disappointing. Since then we have tried buying all sorts of parts on amazon to try and fix it and it still leaks. They must have used the door to pull out the dishwasher and that is why it leaks and can't be fixed. read more

My husband and I had been putting off installing granite for fear of choosing the wrong pattern, dealing with unreliable contractors, etc. From the moment we walked into Stone City and met Joanne, we knew we were in good hands. My wife and I recently purchased a new home with the intent of renovating the kitchen immediately. The cabinets were partially broken and the appliances were barely functional. The first place I went for a quote on cabinets and granite was Stone City. We met Joann and she was funny, personable and attentive to our needs right from the start. She knew answers to some of our questions before we ever asked them and guided our buying process with ease. After seeing the quality of the cabinets in the show room and enjoying her personality, I compared her pricing and quality with some local small companies as well as some large premium retailers. All the quotes from the large retailers were 1.5 to 2 times more expensive and were going to take 3 to 4 times longer for measuring, ordering, fabricating and installation of the cabinets and granite. In addition, all of these other places charged extra for small details such as soft close drawers and doors and edge contouring for the granite. The clear choice was Stone City. After coming out to measure they created a 3-dimensional printout for me to see how the cabinets would look in our specific room. We made our purchase and within a week the cabinets were ordered and installed. Every team member was courteous and knowledgeable and they worked quickly and diligently. The last night of install they stayed until 1030 PM so they could get the job done. I HIGHLY recommend Stone City and their team! After looking around at other companies in the Memphis, Cordova, and Arlington area, we could not find anyone that would do our countertops without adding a seam in our island bar area and our back countertop area due to the length of each. However, after visiting with Joann at stone city, which was very nice and hilarious with my wife and I, she assured us that stone city was able to put in the island counter tops and the back area counter top with no seams. She also told us that we were able to pick out any style of edge with no additional price (the best thing I have heard all day, including the price for 81 square feet!!!!) We went to stone city on Thursday, they came out to the house on Friday for measurements, we took a deposit (half) to Joann on Saturday, they came back out on Monday to do template of design of countertops, and on Wednesday, the countertops were in within one hour (installed, cleaned off, old countertops removed by them, no extra charge). Within 30 minutes, Joann called to make sure the process was to our liking. ALL COMPLETED LESS THAN A WEEK!!! Great place for getting great granite countertops at an affordable price with no hassle. We received 81 square feet of granite without seams, a 40/60 sink, any edge for (no) additional cost, and removal of old countertops for $900.00 less than what others wanted to charge us. Wonderful experience. I had an old island torn out and they were able to build me a new island in my kitchen exactly the way I wanted.....with bookshelves on one end. They customized my kitchen without having to hire a separate kitchen designer. They are very precise in their measurements. I changed my mind on the granite color one day before it was due to be delivered and installed (I got lucky that it had not been cut yet) I felt really bad about canceling but this was a huge decision for me and I wanted it to be right and I wanted to love it not just like it! They had scheduled everyone to come that next day, but when I cancelled they were sooooo understanding. They want you to LOVE your new kitchen too . A month later after I had made a definite decision about my cabinets and granite, installation was easy and quick. The guy who built my custom bookshelf, I highly recommend his work, it's beautiful!
