As all Home Depot stores, they carry all kinds of home improvement construction and home maintenance materials, tools, appliances, lawn and garden, electrical, plumbing, and more. This one also rents equipment like trucks, trailers, excavators, forklifts, landscaping equipments. power washers, ditch diggers, and other power tools. In the past I have rented ditch diggers and drain cleaners. The prices at Home Depot are usually on par with their competition. On my last visit, all I was after was some Mulch for my flower beds which they had on sale 4 bags for $10. The young lady at the cash register was friendly and helpful. She verified which mulch I wanted and rang me up, then called for a young man to help me load it into my truck. The young man was notably unenthusiastic but he was respectful and did his job well. I have had the worst experience with the both Home Depots in McAllen and Mission Texas. Employees tend to not want to help while shopping and when you call the don't answer the phone or.pick it up and hang it up. I purchased a home in March and had it remodeled. Bought all appliances from Home Depot. Paid for installation of the appliances, only to have the team that deliverd and should have installed the range, overhead Microwave and dishwasher make excuses of why they could not install them. Then told me to call the store to get a refund. That was a sh#$ show. Ordered other items on line and got notification that they were delivered on August 8th and to pickup between the Aug 8th and 9th. Went to pick it up on the 9th. Was told at customer service that it was just delivered and to call back on the 11th of August. Called on the 11th and was told that it was still not there and still in transportation and shipping. When ask to speak to a GM of the store, he never is in. You will speak to a acting assistant manager or the assistant manager. If your store is not meeting your customer expectations then you should be at your store assisting and training, to make it better so you can take a deserved day off. The worst was applying for the "Consumer Project Home Depot Card". Went to customer service to apply the two ladies there did not want to help and sent me to the contractors check out for that application. That person was not happy to help. Provided my TX DL and my standard HD Credit Card to him and he started to do tha application on his computer. He said it would take about 15 minutes foe the results. After 5 minutes he came back with a smirk and jubliance on his face and said " You Were Declined!! And handed me the Decline letter. I thought impossible as I looked it over. He had entered my name incorrectly. My name is Albert not Robert. He obviously did not read the Drivers license and HD CC at all or with only a glance. When I brought it to hi attention he just asked for the ID again and submitted it correctly this time and got a response back in 5.minutes giving me 10k credit line. No apologies just here. NOW! By doing this he created a nightmare when trying to use the card. Every time I used the card it was declined due to a fraudulent purchase. Because Greensky had now both Albert and Robert under the same address. Not a happy consumer. When I finally had enough I asked for the GM and I got the acting manager. As I explained my concern with emotion he became defensive and said I was threatening in my communication. As told him I never coursed or swore or threatened him. When I asked for his GM's name he would not oblige. He gave me his first name and when I asked for his last name he refused. He said policy was that they do not have to provide for their protection. Protection from what he said that I might be a cartel member that would want to attack him or his family. That was enough for me and my wife. We are waiting for our last item to arrive and we will no longer shop at HOME DEPOT!! McCoys and Lowes will be our goto from now on. It really is true that Lowe's is marketed to women while Home Depot targets men. My mom and I went to both Lowe's and both Home Depots in search of a spare freezer last weekend. Here's how they racked up: Both Lowe's were cooler, cleaner and tidier than either Home Depot. Someone came to help us immediately at both Lowe's, but it took over 20 minutes at one HD and tracking someone down at the other to get any attention. The selection was slightly better at Lowe's and they had more in stock for next-day delivery. Both Lowe's attendants seemed more knowledgeable and confident than those at HD. To be fair, they both had almost identical products and very similar maintenance services. They both have south and north locations, but since we're having to focus on minute details, Lowe's offered a generally more pleasant experience. read more

I went to Home Depot to look for a range hood and was helped out by a very knowledgeable employee named Joe. He gave us very useful advice and quickly got us the microwave we bought. As my wife and I were leaving, an employee ran out with some items we had forgotten on the counter. As I was getting ready to load the microwave into the back of my car, yet another employee stopped by to help me load it into the car! Ugh. Good luck finding someone...anyone...to help you. I'm pretty self-sufficient and don't need help often, but when your store is a disorganized mess a finger pointed in the right direction is an appreciated but rarely seen event. And heaven help you if you need a bolt or nut of a particular size. Sifting through their bins reminds me of trying to find a CD or a DVD at Best Buy back in the day. Needle...haystack. Also, beware and carefully check what you're buying. I can't tell you how many times I've bought a box of something, only to find it was used and returned either broken, missing parts, or dirty. Their returns department is really lax and it's slightly dishonest putting this kind of stuff back on the shelf and representing it as new. read more

Trash place. Non of members know what they are doing, they all walked past you and ignore the clients. When I went to customer service the ladies didn't understand how to operate the computers. They finally called the manager ToNy Alvarez and it took him near a half hour to show up! The store is not that big! And when he finally showed up he was dragging his feet. We were three clients waiting for him. When he finally showed up he was able to help one of the clients the rest of us didn't have a chance. I tried purchasing a water heater and was told that delivery was an extra hundred dollars (curbside) at least that's what one of the employees said to me. Manager said it's only $69 so I wonder where the rest of the money was going to go. Website says delivery with installation is free yet here it's not the case, it's extra I just wasted my valuable time that is irreplaceable. I do not understand what type of place stays in business like this? It's ridiculous the employees and manager don't know anything! I don't understand how they offer all these installation packages but yet don't have installers. What kind of scam are they running here? As a regular Home Depot customer this store is a disappointment. I will not be returning to this location or any of the locations here in the valley for that matter. It seems like all the employees do the impossible to avoid the customers and to avoid helping . None of them understand any of the questions you bring to the table. If you ask them a question in English they answer you in Spanish doesn't matter if your Spanish is broken they still answer you in Spanish. I turned in my home depot credit card and am never shopping there again. In an effort to pinch every penny you can you installed those self checkout lanes. So now I have to wrestle with a computer, scan these dumb-ass bar codes, look like an idiot when the sticker isn't working, then bag my stuff, and god forbid you buy too much and load some back in the cart, then the thing treats you like a criminal and starts ordering you around. "Put your product on the whatever the heck that thing is" ENOUGH! I used to just avoid them, but now you guys are so cheap that you don't even have a cashier that I can go to instead.
