Been standing here for over 20 mins since two men working here, one directing and one driving a pallet stacker told me they'd send someone to cut wire for me. After 10 mins I called the store and asked them to send someone to help me. This is Not acceptable. No one seems to be in this department anywhere. I have a work crew costing me a lot of money waiting on me to bring electric wire back so they can finish their job. Rented a truck june 7th to move today june 19th. Made reservations. Have confirmation, charged my credit card. Got there to pick up truck. NO TRUCK! Better yet they have no idea where it is! Shows on computer they have it, but no keys, not on site. Left hanging with no truck and paying people to help move me, with NO truck! Called Penske who supplies the truck to Home Depot, yep have my reservation, yep they have my payment, but again don't have the truck! Could they call other Home depot's in the keys to see if they have a truck? NO,CUZ their systems aren't linked! So desperately driving an hour to key west because they may have one but can't reserve it for us! HOME DEPOT your customer service sucks! Big corporations don't care. I am now stuck without a way to move. Took off work, lost pay, and paid others to help me, more money lost. You don't give a shit. Your stock value is up that is all that matters. read more

Incompetent staff. Ordered a refrigerator, three days if working with the sales rep to make sure everything was ready. 2 months we wait for the appliance. Upon arrival the delivery driver says he will not hook it up because we don't have the correct parts. Ended up refusing delivery. The store manager apologized but that does not get me a refrigerator. They are the only place in a hundred miles to get appliances and they know it and don't care about customer service. This store is a disgrace. read more

She always is pleasant and chooses her positive attitude. I shared my comments with the manager, Mary Catherine today and she was very appreciative of my taking the time to share good information. Give these people a break. Very few people want to work in this day and age so it puts more pressure on those who do. Have you noticed they are all older workers? Try a little patience and kindness. I go in to buy a paint sample, flat, exterior. I am offered three choices (good, better, best) from Behr. I choose the best quality, but they were out of stock. So I said I'll take the mid grade and they were also out of stock on that one also. So I said give me the last option and, yes they were out of that also. This store is full of derricks and their inventory management system is so full of erroneous information that none of the employees believe it. Go up to Homestead and shop at Lowe's if you really need something more than a lightbulb. The management of this location should be ashamed. read more

Had delivery scheduled for 7/2 after 1 hour on the phone with delivery people told HAD to go to the store to get delivery as scheduled due to error on address and Home Depot has to contact the execution team-was assured if I went TODAY would still be delivered 7/2. Went to store "never heard of execution team" spent another 40 minutes calling back delivery team -supervisors insists the store manager will know how to contact team. Spoke to store manager "Zar" (after asked to talk to a manager when we first arrived-they were "busy") states will get it delivered as scheduled and send me copy of email confirmation-Zar never sent!! Called GE this morning confirmed everything in order for 7/2 delivery with address update. NOW I just received a call from the delivery company that states "the store made a mistake we don't deliver there on Mondays" called to talk to Zar NO LONGER WORKS THERE. Maybe this is what Home Depot wants when they sell items at a discounted price during their "sale": you cancel & give up-my time is worth more than this an NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE (even while saying they do) I can't believe I drove 4 hours on a holiday weekend to make sure I was here for a SCHEDULED delivery!!! read more

They do have a good selection but I really feel that they need to do something about their customer service. I have gone to this store several times and yesterday I went to customer service no one asked if I needed something and just walked away. I needed a key made asked the cashier and he called someone over who gave me the impression that she was being bothered to take time out to make a key. Another customer needed something and the guy who worked there was making it known he was busy and that there should be someone else around to help her. I tell you when you go to the Marathon store vs the Key West one it is so different every time I walk into Key West they always ask if I need help! read more

The Home Depot in Marathon has some of the best customer service in the Keys. My husband and I recently purchased a vacation home in Marathon and have been to Home Depot numerous times. We are always greeted by knowledgeable staff and never have to wait in line. If a line does begin to form at the checkout, the manager quickly opens a new register. I'm usually able to find what I'm looking for every time. The interactions I've had with employees have mostly been good. The sales associates are usually very helpful and knowledgable. I am a local and appreciate that this Home Depot carries quite a selection of products that are specific to our unusual local needs. Not every big box store pulls this off nearly as well. The Florida Keys are a major salt water boating and recreation area. This store carries a better selection of SS & galvanized marine bolts, screws, & other fasteners than most HDs .Interestingly a small store, Specialty Hardware, also in Marathon, is a solid small shop with a real local service and product selection that fits nicely serving local needs and seems to thrive in the presence of the big box store. Back on this HD, there is a good selection of boating accessories from batteries to chemicals to electrical and boat trailer stuff. The area gets a lot of RV folks touring through and there is a decent selection of RV supplies. My wife teases me that there is a standing joke among her friends that all their husbands spend more time at Home Depot than at home. read more
