Not the nicest when you go in, but hey, its building supplies. Last week we had $1400 worth of lumber delivered. The driver called and asked us where to drop it. We have 2 driveways, one has our skiff against the fence and our Dodge Challenger in the carport and the other is across the property and the opposite side from our project. We told the driver "between the Challenger and the skiff, up against the skiff" He of course dropped the lumber on the opposite side of the property. Mistakes happen. But then we called to get it corrected. I am partially disabled and unable to move a couple tons of lumber by hand. My wife called in and talked to "Jen the Manager". She was immediately unpleasant, did not apologize for the mistake and started saying how she can't this and can't that. Then said she would get it moved but she didn't know when. The fact that the contractor was coming out on Wednesday did not concern her. My wife, disgusted, handed the phone to me. As the Director of a National Organization I oversee customer service. I told Jen, tactfully and in a calm voice, this was their mistake and now would be the time for some positive customer service. She went off. Rather then offering solutions she said she would pick the lumber up that day and refund us. And 5 more minutes of insults and unprofessional behavior before she hung up on me. So she can pick up the lumber that day, but cannot move it for us??? TERRIBLE, the absolute worst. I will discourage all of my friends from using Overseas Lumber until she is no longer the manager. Home Depot delivers... Please note: I do not exaggerate or lie to make a point. I do not embellish because I am not happy. This review is factual.

Let me start by saying I am 100% grateful that we have a Home Depot and don't have to wait for…read morethings to be sent by mail or drive to the mainland for stuff. They have a good selection, and you can order almost anything you need to be shipped to the store and then pick it up. Prices are competitive without that "extra cost" that seems to get added by a lot of businesses because we are so far from the mainland. (I get it, transport here is expensive!). When I place orders they call me to tell me they are ready so I can come pick them up. The two downsides are: 1) the app. If you do curbside pick up with the app, no one brings it out to you. You have to go in, wait in line at customer service, and pick it up yourself. And 2) usually when you go into a home depot the people who work there know a lot about the tools and supplies and how to use them. It's pretty clear that some employees here don't do any of their own home improvements. However, the employees will go out of their way to help you and are super friendly. So that's a huge plus. Just know that you have to come already knowing every single little thing you'll need for your job, including sizes and types, since you won't be able to just ask the staff what else is needed to change the faucet in your sink.
