I ordered items online so that they would be available when I arrived, which they were. I have a Home Depot credit and a gift card. The cashier rang up the order, used the gift card, but somehow locked the Home Depot credit and said he couldn't reopen it. I had to wait until tomorrow to use it. Terrific Home Depot!! Very organized and clean, found everything I needed, although getting help requires a few minutes. One of the best Home Depot's I've seen. Extremely efficient curbside pick up process with clear signs. I visited during the coronavirus pandemic. Also the queue for checking out was great compared to other stores. Clean and well lit, fully stocked. As usual it's tricky finding help. Especially when a few are talking together and laughing about something as I watch. Nonetheless the best Home Depot in the area and one of the best I've seen. Highly recommended if choosing between Home Depot's. It's also better than the local Lowe's too by the way. . read more

This is my first review here on Yelp and sadly, it's not going to be a good one, but here is. I'm very disappointed with this Home Depot as they let me down big time on a trailer rental and with barely time to find an alternative at the last minute. I purchased a big item out in Lancaster County, PA on Sunday, April 2 and needed to locate a trailer to rent for pickup the following Saturday. I had trouble locating a trailer through U-Haul so it wasn't until Monday April 3rd in the evening after extensive and desperate searching that I found my local Home Depot in Mantua, NJ was listed as having one available through the Home Depot app. I reserved it right away for Saturday, April 9 @ 9am and got a text confirmation for it. Well, Friday, April 12 @ 7:02pm I received an "Uh oh" text saying it was no longer available. I'm now feeling screwed, but not for the deposit refund, but now I had to scramble again to find a trailer for rent at the last minute for the next morning! Fortunately I was able to locate one at a local business in town who had just by chance had a suitable rental returned for availability for me to rent. I realize things can go wrong and that rentals may not always be returned on time, or worst yet, not available because of need for additional service or repair, but I felt whatever and regardless of the reasoning behind the sudden unavailability for the rental on such short notice could've been perhaps a little better timed read more

Had a new washer installed, and they broke something while installing which caused my valve to start leaking. When I called to inform them that they needed to come back to repair this, they stated "we did not do that". When calling Home Depot directly, they said they will not send anyone out until Saturday (it is Wednesday). The phone call ended with "we will give you 10% off your next purchase as a customer satisfaction guarantee". What a joke.. please use Lowe's or any other store to purchase appliances. Yep Its a home depot,and yeaa they are a chain. Sometimes you have to just go in cause a regular mom and pop type hardware store or a True Value does not have the wider selections than a Lowes , or a Home Depot. I like this one better than the other one located next to the deptford mall. I am more comfortable here i suppose.I still will not buy any kind of major tools here.. a hammer , or measuring tape at best... I prefer sears for tools . Staff has some idea of whats going on. the rest room is clean.. doesn't have that urine smell when you walk in.. stalls and urinals are clean. If you want to see men of all ages standing around doing nothing, this is the place for you! But lord help you if you actually need to find something. On a weekday evening there were about 5 staff for every one customer, but nobody would actually help me. A middle-aged guy passed me down to a younger guy, who passed me down to a really young guy who acted like he'd never even been in the store. He answered all of my questions with "I don't know." Meanwhile three employee-dudes are hanging out in the same aisle shooting the breeze, audibly dropping f-bombs, and practicing throwing a plastic soda bottle in the trash can. An hour later, I finally have what I need and am looking at a cordless drill. But suddenly there's nobody around AT ALL to access the locked up boxes under the display. So this morning I ordered a DeWalt from Amazon for same day delivery. I wonder why nobody wants to shop retail anymore. read more

Incompetence galore! We purchased a refrigerator from them on Black Friday, opting for delivery and installation. I then got an email from them confirming delivery on 12/16. Today, on 12/2, they dumped our fridge off at the front of the house, and as I scrambled to get my shoes on and help with installation, I see the truck drivers driving away. I called them afterwards, spending over 30 minutes on hold with them, only to hear them say I never paid for installation. Now I'm stuck having to somehow get a heavy fridge into our basement. I used to love coming here, but from now on, Lowe's will be getting my business. It's better, it's cleaner, and their employees actually want to help their customers. read more

Ok so I order a refrigeator from Lowes early in the afternoon about 12pm. My order was confirmed and I received a delivery window for the next day. Now the only reason I ordered from Lowes because the web site said next day delivery so I thought oh great I have no refrigerator, no food in my house I need this ASAP. Well in the middle of the night I received a delviery update notification that Lowes Mantua had send my order to Wilington and MY REFRIGERATOR COULD NOT BE DELIVERED UNTIL THURSDAY!!!! THURSDAY!!!. So, the web site advertisement and also all the text confirmations, why was this order not transferred to store where it could have still been delivered in the same time frame instead of just being dumped on any store and leaving me withou a refrigerator for 6 days. This is ridiculous, Lowes literally had all day to look for another store AFTER confirming arounf 6:45 pm what time it would be delivered to me. Now I am stuck on an early Saturday morning, calling around all of my local Lowes stores trying to ON MY OWN a way to get this delivered today or next day. LOWES DO BETTER WITH YOUR DELIVERIES AND WEB SITE. Literally EVERY Lowes in my area about 10 of them say the refrigerator is in stock and can be delivered TOMORROW. After, calling LITERALLY that is a LIE!!!! I was told when the item say 1 that usually means none because they are speaking of the one that is one display. I was the clearly seen by the associate in the area because he walked past me to help another shopper. Went to Home Depot a couple days ago and was waiting in line to check out. The employee Leslyn then told us that she was "not open" as she was standing at the register with her light on. As we were walking away she made a rude facial gesture and rolled her eyes at us. Went back today to make a couple more purchases and as we were walking to the self check out, Leslyn told us she was open, and we told her "we are using the self check out" She then had another remark on her face and proceeded to tell us, loud enough for others to hear to "keep Americans working" as we were walking to the self check out register. As we were checking out, she went to another employee standing behind us as was talking about us. I understand the self check out can create less job positions for cashiers, but especially during the virus right now, if you have the self check out open and available and a customer prefers to use it, making that opinionated comment to a customer was uncalled for. read more

This is a nice little Home Depot store, usually our second stop after the local mom-and-pop hardware store doesn't have what we need, or if we need to fill the truck with building materials, since the prices are so much better and make it worth the trip. Yesterday, we struck out on two of the three items that we were looking for, which is unusual, but we can still order them online. One thing that we like is that we can almost always find an associate to answer questions or help us find something; you can't always count on that at most larger stores, anymore. Employees have always been friendly and helpful and there are typically enough checkout lines open to handle the current need. We really like that the checkers stand at the entrance to available check stands, so we have a good visual of which lines we can pop right into. In the past, we've special-ordered items for pick-up, and have returned others. There's never been any problem and the employees at the service desk have always been friendly, helpful, and able to answer any concerns that we've had. It's too bad that it's such a long drive to get there. If we lived closer, we'd undoubtedly be in here several times a month. One addition: we stopped in again last Thursday (after another out-of-Salem-County appointment) on a mission to find a new attic ladder. According to the website they had three different models in stock, but after we searched and gave up, we asked for help. That person searched, asked for help from other associates, and after walking around and around for another good twenty minutes, we all gave up. It looks like they're rearranging the store because a lot of things aren't exactly where we're used to finding them but the locations haven't been updated in their system, yet. Hubby tried once more at the Pro Desk, and they knew where to find the ladders: in the atrium, past the check-out stands, with the regular ladders. Mission (finally) accomplished. I guess the takeaway here is to be patient but persistent during the transition, and keep asking. Eventually, one of the associates will have seen what you're looking for. read more

I had a great experience with the customer service staff and Barbara from billing. They did not blow me off and followed through with my request. I purchased a $75 gift card as a Christmas gift for my dad. In all the busyness of the holidays I misplaced the card. I no longer had the receipt but the staff was able to look it up, print out a new receipt, deactivate the gift card and issue me a new one. I'm so grateful for them going above and beyond. read more

Ordered a spray mop online for free pick up here. The checkout for online orders is clearly marked just inside the store entrance. We walked up and were helped right away (no line). I just had to show my driver's license and sign for the pickup. Done. The employee was friendly and even gave us a free cold bottle of water. Very nice touch since it was 90+ degrees outside. read more

Ordered Washer/Dryer, they gave me a 4 hour window of 8:45AM-12:45PM. Claimed someone would call 30Mins prior to delivery. First Day I took off work four hour window came and went. Nobody Called. I called and they claimed weather issues. Nobody would had call me otherwise, no courtesy call, Nothing. Next appointment 3 days later, again same time block. Once again. Nothing. This time the say they called but I assure you they didn't. Again no courtesy call. Only when I called they said it was a shipping issue and that the merchandise just got in the "warehouse" but they assured me appliances will be in the next day. Once again same time block came and went. Nobody called. I called them and they hit me with someone called and rescheduled. Once again, they did not. This is beyond terrible customer service. Lost 3 days for no reason. Paying almost 1,500 for appliances that obviously I'm never getting nor it seems that that's not enough to get basic decent customer service. The fact that one Day they were going to deliver but couldn't and the next day they say that merchandise just arrived shows that they can't even lie right. Also they said they called me when in fact that was another lie. They can't even keep their bull straight. read more

Only three people know what they are doing Tony at the Pro desk and Fred in plumbing and the part-time Key guy other than that the people that work the Isle are worthless. Store managers are complacent, and their attitude trickles down to the employees. I have almost hurt myself on several occasions because wire shelving has been left out on the cutter right at eye height, wood left in both the cut-off saw and the panel cutter. Shelves are overloaded at the very tops something that was on a 20/20 report but keeps being repeated at this store. Stay away do yourself a favor and go to Lowes. read more

Overall this store has served my needs for the past six and one-half years. Like most Home Depots, there are employees who are knowledgeable as well as helpful when you can find them, those who attempt to help, but are not properly trained and those who are none of the aforementioned. Jim in electrical is one of the most helpful department professionals that I have ever come across in this Home Depot. Conversely there is a woman whose name I do not know that covers electrical when Jim is off. This woman looks as though she totally dislikes being there. Just this week I was having trouble finding a particular fluorescent tube while a woman customer next to me was just as lost as I was. Meanwhile this woman from electrical is just feet from us is re-stocking shelves with miscellaneous lighting items from a shopping cart and not once ever asked either one of us is she could help us find what we were searching for. I finally walked over to her and asked her a question and she acted as though I was troubling her deeply. For as long as I have been shopping at this store this woman's attitude has always been the same. All I can say is that is must be very hard for Home Depot to find good help these days. Other than this issue the only other problem with the Mantua store is it's limited size. It does not have the capacity or selection offered by the Deptford Township store on Hurffville Road so I often find myself walking out empty handed. read more

Mostly like the store, BUT... SICK & TIRED of RUNNING A GAUNTLET OF SALESPEOPLE. BLACK SHIRTS SALES GUYS will corner you again and again. The people who work in the store are friendly, BUT now there is this increasing weird thing of having to pass by booths where third party sales beckon for attention. That's OK because they are not pushy, but what makes me want to go to Lowe's instead are these guys wandering around in BLACK SHIRTS. AVOID THE SALES GUYS IN BLACK SHIRTS!!! They will follow you, they will find you in the isles, they will persist, they will not take no for an answer, when one is done another will corner you, and even if you tell them you have already been harassed they will pitch you again. What do they want? They want to gut your kitchen, and put junk shelves and doors in. Do not make the mistake of letting them pitch you at all. "Humoring" them is a big mistake- it wastes your time, and they get maintain a facade of being polite; yet grow increasingly hostile the more you keep saying you do not need or want their services. Tables, booths, kiosks are acceptable, BUT BEING HUNTED BY THE BLACK SHIRTS is BS. What's more annoying than a telemarketer? A hack sales guy following you around, confronting you, and not taking a polite dismissal instead insisting on SPAMMING you to your face. If you were to ever give them any contact info I imagine they would be calling you for years to come. Anyhow if the BLACK SHIRTS are there to stay then I'll do more hardware shopping online or go to Lowe's. read more
