let's straighten out some things. we moved here 2 years ago to a new house......60,000 spent at home depot lagrange...over 50 trips to the store 15 departments...so we should be able to give an accurate picture.\! . every employee without exception has been professional, extremely helpful beyond expectation s and knowledgeable. . hd's delivery system is the best....i called at 9a.m. it was here by 11.a.m indicative of 7 deliveries..ok . people feel more powerful when they complain and noone can answer.....weak! i have had 3 issues out of 50 all solved immediately and with sincere effort. anyone giving them 1 star are chronic complainers and just like to complain...this store is a 5 out of 5 how do i know that....retail store mgr for 20 years in syracuse. summary: whether you go to gardening-washer-dryer-refrigerators-air conditioners-stoves-windows-bathroom renewal-kitchen renewal-garage doors-landscaping-painting- supplies all of them ===a++ what is one of the most impressive is the.... service...like you are the only customer in the store....try that some other place. 5 out 5 period! read more

If i could give 0 stars, i would. First off, the cashier here peeled off my gift card and they couldnt refund me for their mistake for 3 days. Secondly, I ordered blinds from here. They told me they were available and gave me a time they would be installed. I took time off of work based on this. 2 hrs past time they dont show up. I call and they say 'oh the blinds arent really in' and that they 'cant come today.' These people are the most incompetent at their job I have ever experienced. Service is hit or miss. It's a shame that they are the only big box home improvement store in town. The parking lot is just short of a trash dump with garbage strewn everywhere. Every other shopping cart in the stack has some sort of trash in it as well. It's crazy that the employee collecting them must find it too much effort to take the trash out of them. They make me feel uncomfortable as I'm self checking out as well. They watch and glare at me as if I'm a known thief or something. I do NOT care for that sort of atmosphere where these people would be better served as cashiers. It's obvious that the manager has no pride in his/her store. read more

I came to this store looking for insulation hangers however the store offers all sizes of insulation however the hangers only sold in 16in if you gonna sell insulation why not offer the hangers for all sizes. Employees told me you can only get over 16in hangers by ordering. And those 2 beautiful lady's working in the front has let there buty go to their heads.if there respect and attitude was as good as they looked they would be hard to stop but let me tell you people they had the nastiest attitude iv ever seen in customer service. And most importantly you can never get help or trying to find help go up front of the store that's were they all group up and hang out so if you don't want to wait 45 minutes go up front and yell CUSTOMER NEEDS HELP IN ROOFING. Years ago there was a lowes just a mile or so down the road from this HD. It was the worse lowes I ever tried to do business with. Each time I try to work with the HD in LaGrange I am convinced that all their employees were formerly with that terrible lowes. Today, based on website info that says the LaGrange HD has tool rental I made four calls to verify that they do have tool rental and ask a question about a log splitter. After 20 combined minutes of unanswered phone ringing in four different calls I FINALLY got someone on the phone who seemed annoyed that I was asking about tool rental and said they have none. Home Depot, can you at LEAST TRY to get it together and have an accurate website? Maybe get someone to answer the phone occasionally? read more

The guy outdoors was very helpful. We came in on Thursday to buy pea pebbles and he recommended we come back over the weekend that they would be on sale. We cam back on Sunday and he even remembered us and helped us load up our car with 15 bags of pea pebbles. EXCELLENT customer service all around. read more

What started out as bad experience, ended up a very personalized visit. As you know this time of year in the garden section is busy! We went to pick up 16 bags of rock with no help after repeated asking. We attempted to load ourselves & finally got frustrated & left. I called and asked for manager and spoke to the manager, Steve. My initial call was to just let him know of what happened. I wasn't upset, it was hot & just no one sensed the urgency of getting help. Steve was very accommodating & assures us if we turn around and come back, he would have 3 guys available. He even came himself & loaded, not what I expected, but his customer services skills are top-notch! If you ever feel dissatisfied please let management know. My experience today at the LaGrange GA Home Depot could be summed up in just two words, Total Incompetence. Came in to buy for a project that had 5 refrigerators, 9 microwaves and 4 window unit air conditioners. I was "helped" by two associates neither of which could maneuver through the Home Depot system. They looked as if they had never seen the system or at least were not trained on it. We had the items numbers needed and would pick up or HD could deliver whichever was easier on them. All I was trying to do was give them my money but the HD system along with the two associates could not take it. The only thing positive was I had a new employee with me and he was able to see first hand what bad customer service looks like. Just makes me want to buy local even more!!! read more

I went in today to purchase garden products alot of bags of soil and mulches and peat moss. At 1230pm with it being 55degrees out was told that there would be no garden cashier outside and that I would have to load my purchases up and bring them through the store to check out. I called 3 other home depot's and all of there garden centers were open. read more

I have bought so much from this place. They ignore you from the second you enter their store. I have waited at the service desk with her talking on the phone & her back turned to the customers lined up. I recently bought a Whirlpool HE washer. I hate the thing. I wanted a front loader, like the other one. I even called a day ahead to make an appointment with the department to Buy a washer. She gave me a time & I was there, SHE was NOT. I had to go to the front desk and ask them to call her. Rude! When she arrived, bout an hour later, she did not have the washer I had ask her about and wanted. She kept trying to push another brand on me. I wanted a Whirlpool. I also wanted a front loader. instead, when it finally was delivered, about 12 days later, it was a top loader. IT Leaked. The guys said, WE are going to run a wash to make sure it is connected right and works. They went outside to smoke. I checked on it and water was POURING from the bottom. I went to get them and they were gone. I called Home Depot right then. They said they would fix it, right away. I spoke with the woman who pushed the wrong one, her associate, the customer service rep, & the assistant manger that day. I have called for weeks now. I was promised it would be fixed right away. I bought the extended warranty & they pushed new fittings( hose/connector) on me, even though mine was new. I have only used it twice because the water pours out the bottom for days. I am currently PAYING someone to WASH clothes for me. I rescue big standard poodles, have tons of towels, cotton blankets, dog bed covers, & mats almost every day. I also have my clothing, sheets, towels, etc. This has been a terrible experience. I will NEVER, EVER buy another appliance from them or trust them to honor their word. It makes me wish I'd gone to Best Buy or an Appliance store. In an reliable business who keeps their word, they would have fixed it the next day or brought me a new one. read more

One of your female employees was very rude to us when she asked us what we needed help with she said she had no idea how to help us. She referred us to another associate to help us but we couldn't locate the gentlemen. We came back twords her area where she was still communicating with this other couple and stood silently waiting but she looked at us and said did you find him? I replied no we hadn't! She was then extremely irritated and said in a harsh tone, "if you would just give me a minute to finish with these people I will try and help you goodness." I then turned and walked away. I do not think that people should be allowed to deal with the public if then are having a bad day or cannot control their attitude. I was not rude to her and even apologized to the people for even stopping to communicate when she was helping them. I will do my business elsewhere if this continues in the future. read more

This home depot does not know what they are doing. I ordered a simple light switch online today for $4.25 because the online website said this store had 10 of them. The store called me to tell me they had none and to not believe what you see online! If that is the case then why is there inventory listed on the website!?! Then I called the 1-800 number for assistance and after 50 minutes and being charged $10.55 & 10.66 on my credit card I was told that I could not cancel the order even though it had not shipped yet! What a disgrace!! Wish we had a Lowe's in town!!! read more

They have crappy lumber stock and when I went to ask for help I pretty much got blown off and they told me they were the only lumber place around and walked off. This isn't even the first time I have experienced bad service at this specific store. Because I'm a woman they won't even talk to me. Wife and I recently purchased a new max capacity washer and dryer. We were told that if we purchased extra equipment that they would install for free. 5 days later I came in to find a large scratch on the dryer as it was sitting in the middle of our laundry room floor. So, I attempted to contact this store, no answer for approx. 15 minutes. I then contacted the main office who were unable after 30 minutes to get a response, advised me to call back. Next, I contacted the Newman store without difficulties only to be told I was lied to. So, 5 says later, no return call so I call them only to find out I should have completed a written response w/in 24 hours.also, I was advised that they "don't have to install for free that's a courtesy"..so 3k dollars later and washer and dryer I installed, the home depot employee advised me she would exchange if "you bring the washer back into the store" after I advised her the BBB would be contacted and a formal complaint will be filed with said company. After purchasing over $3,000 in appliances in cash, two items came in damaged and had to be reordered. I was told they would be delivered the first of the week but when the day came, I was told it would be another week by the delivery company. I called Home Depot and was told its up to the delivery company. The new dishwasher wouldn't work the first time we tried it so i called Home Depot. I was told I would have to deal with the manufacturer. Now it will be after Christmas before anyone will be out to look at the dishwasher, and the whole family is coming to my house for Christmas.
