Excellent big box DIY store with great stock and helpful staff. They also have great plants and seeds in summer. Recommend.

I am very disappointed in the Johnstown store poor support, follow-up, and ability to deliver products. Great people are in store, but it appears their corporate office is either penny pinching or this store is on way to closing. 1st follow-up issue: planned and ordered new kitchen cabinets advised their designer we wanted farm house sink, was told would need on-site for installer and counter folks. Installers are not aware of it even though it's in the plans. I assumed counter folks install it. Counter folks could not measure until the sink was set (cut into cabinet). I had to call cabinet folks and pay another $500 for them to come back and do this. Countertop folks had to come out 2 more times to finally accept installation. I was billed an additional $350 for multiple trips So due to hd it cost me $850 more than the $27k I already paid plus time with no usable kitchen. Their office of the president did nothing, including no response. Most recently ordered new storm door to be delivered. They no longer have installers, so you're on your own for that. Anyway, the door arrives at the store. I got a call they only have a 18 wheel truck to deliver it. I was informed that corporate took their box truck because they are losing money on delivery (hmm a 18 wheeler is so much more efficient). I had them cancel the order they could not uphold what they contracted for, went to Lowes door, is cheaper, they can deliver, and they have Installers. Re-doing 2 bathrooms, will be using lowes and advising others as well read more

I was in need of measuring for a new storm door. After weeks of excuses I finally received a message from installer which was a third party contractor that they were unable to measure for a door due to their electronic door measuring app not working properly as they were transitioning to this new system. . This third party contractor is the sole contractor for Home Depot and has no other contractor working with Home Depot . Long story short the incompetency of both the staff at Home Depot and third party contractors has left a very unfavorable experience with Home Depot and will more than likely use another source in the area for all future home improvement needs. read more

Very clean restrooms but the staff members are inattentive and unfriendly. Walked though the store and couldn't find anyone to offer any form of assistance, they just stared. read more

I cannot rave enough about the customer service I receive at this store. Dario moves mountains to help me. He is patient kind and goes above and beyond to make sure my orders are complete. Lenny is also awesome. He makes sure that that his customers are well taken care of. No one ever feels like they're standing around waiting for him even if he's helping another customer. Rachel is also awesome. She couldn't be more helpful when I come in the store these three people are an asset to the Home Depot. I wish all Home Depot's had a Dario, Lenny and Rachel great job guys. After being ignored for nearly 15 minutes in the lumber department I ventured out to the garden area and found help, much like that commercial we now see on television. However, unlike the commercial I did find and receive help. Within minutes of giving them a haphazard description of what I wanted they were able to bring it up in their system and ring me up. The funny thing here, what I wanted was lumber, but instead of being in the lumber department (where I waited for a good amount of time) it was outside and around the side of the building. Yeah, the last place you would think to look for the item. After I paid they had someone help me load up my items and I was on my way. A little more hassle than I needed, but they did have everything I needed so it was a one stop shop for me. read more

We bought several appliances for our new home. The Samsung refrigerator was delivered and the door was dropped and damaged. The delivery people were a bit rude and the experience was upsetting. We spoke with Samsung and didn't get very far. We stopped at Home Depot and spoke with Eric. He was very helpful and gave us phone numbers to call to get this taken care of. I spoke with him today because Samsung didn't give us any help. Eric made some calls and we are getting a new refrigerator before Christmas. He also is pushing for compensation for our troubles. This location is so hit and miss with me. Sometimes I have great service and the employees are super awesome, and others it is like being dumped on. I have spend thousands of dollars here over the past several months working on my house and have been surprised by how the service has varied. For instance one time I ordered online and went to pick up my order during my lunch hour, after being told it was all ready. I got there was told that I had to go in the back and get it myself because no one could help me, and no one could help load it into my truck. I ended up breaking the back window of my truck out trying to load it all myself. The window was still my fault, but wouldn't have happened had someone been there to actually help like they were supposed to. Then these is this morning, I got there early to do some before work shopping and everyone was helpful, courteous, pleasant, and just downright made me want to come back. I will never use the delivery service again. I explained at the service counter that I would have my garage cleared so they could put my order inside really quick. At no point did the cashier explain to me that they only do curbside delivery. Had they explained that I wouldn't have been scrambling to bring 12 foot sheets of drywall into my garage myself, not to mention 35 plus sheets of backerboard and all the other supplies I ordered. In the rain. Then there was how it was packed. They literally used a sheet a drywall I ordered at the surface to lift with. You can imagine how amused I was to throw away a 12' sheet of drywall. I will keep shopping here, but with mixed expectations of what kind of service I will receive. read more

I needed help with my kitchen remodel and found Bill in the kitchen department he was able to answer all my questions and even gave me information that I did not even know to ask about. I will go back there for all my kitchen purchases. read more
