Dear Ray's Nursery Customers…read more The owner of Rays Nursery is a complete ass, and you should not purchase flowers from him. My Grandma has been trying to get her driveway paved for the last year, and Ray has been harassing all of the people who she gets do pave it for her. He told the workers it was his property so they stopped, my grandma had the land surveyed and they said the land was hers. Her lawyer has tried to contact Ray many times but he ignores everything. So legally it is my grandma's property and she decided to have another company to finish the work the other one started. So they started working yesterday and Ray had one of his employees park a old van in my grandmas driveway so they could not finish. Ray has not once talked to my grandma about any of this. He is a disgusting piece of filth and only wants the driveway to be left alone so that when she dies and he tries to buy her property he doesn't have to tear the asphalt up.

I am disappointed in this company. My mother purchased vouchers ($50) to support a local high…read moreschool student. The vouchers provided a 2-day window to pick up the items. My mother is older and has Alzheimer's. She forgot and notified me the night of that she needs to pick these up. I hoped that Fosbrink's would honor the vouchers the following day. They did not. I explained that my mother has Alzheimer's and they still turned me away. I understand that there was a window of opportunity to pick up the plants, but that window was very small and difficult to adhere to as Fosbrink's operating hours are between 10-5. Apparently other people missed it as well which may upset customers and ultimately not bode well for their business. I'm not sure how many other people feel about this but I know I won't be coming back.

Such an odd little place hidden in the Johnstown area. However, I do have to say that there are…read moremore variety stores like this in Johnstown than any other area. This particular one takes up a majority of the space in an old shopping plaza. It is tucked away somewhat in a corner, behind other businesses that face the road. If you are driving on the road, I can almost guarantee that you will not know this is here. This place is kind of set up as a flea market-esque style. Vendors can buy space to display their wares, but do not have to be present for their items to sale. I believe that each section has their own color/marking of identification to alert the cashier as to where the money goes once the sale is completed. Items range all over the place here. The last time I was here there are gently used items to brand new, not out of the package yet items as well. Everything from fresh produce to furniture can be bought within the walls. Just to give you a heads up, this place can be bit of a maze to navigate and you definitely have to come here when you have time to spare. It is not one of those quick stop spots to run in and grab what you need (think of it as a place where you want, but not need items). I cannot remember fully if this place is cash only or not, I want to say not, but that may not be true. One my next visit I will check to be sure. I will also have to check to see what the hours are as well.
