My mother is older and has Alzheimer's. She forgot and notified me the night of that she needs to pick these up. I hoped that Fosbrink's would honor the vouchers the following day. They did not. I explained that my mother has Alzheimer's and they still turned me away. I understand that there was a window of opportunity to pick up the plants, but that window was very small and difficult to adhere to as Fosbrink's operating hours are between 10-5. Apparently other people missed it as well which may upset customers and ultimately not bode well for their business. I'm not sure how many other people feel about this but I know I won't be coming back.

I personally did not buy anything while I was here. I ended up just kind of walking about and agreed to what my family was talking about. I actually had my eyes on other things. Like the displays that were out and about. I definitely did make my way over to the koi pond they had and stood there for a good amount of time. But the big thing that held my attention here were the guard cats. I know, they aren't really guard cats, but they were basically staff since they were the resident mousers. One was the most friendly cat in the world and the other was a stealthy mass of fur. Totally stayed in that particular greenhouse for a longer time than need be. Even though I didn't buy a single thing here, I did notice the outstanding customer service this place gave. My parents did have a question in regard to a certain plant and the guy helping them were all over it.

My Grandma has been trying to get her driveway paved for the last year, and Ray has been harassing all of the people who she gets do pave it for her. He told the workers it was his property so they stopped, my grandma had the land surveyed and they said the land was hers. Her lawyer has tried to contact Ray many times but he ignores everything. So legally it is my grandma's property and she decided to have another company to finish the work the other one started. So they started working yesterday and Ray had one of his employees park a old van in my grandmas driveway so they could not finish. Ray has not once talked to my grandma about any of this. He is a disgusting piece of filth and only wants the driveway to be left alone so that when she dies and he tries to buy her property he doesn't have to tear the asphalt up.

Westwood Floral's arrangement had the "Wow!" factor that impressed my Grandmother and family on her…read morebirthday. Being out of state, I once again ordered online a floral arrangement to have sent to my Grandmother for her birthday. It's a tricky endeavor in that you don't see the item in person either when buying nor when delivered. Last year I went through a membership store to order a floral arrangement because their product standards are high as is their customer satisfaction - however it didn't work out well that time. The arrangement arrived in a state of decay (which horrified my Grandmother). I contacted the vendor and they were good about sending a replacement, but my poor Grandmother... and the shock to all. The vendor was from a neighboring state and they have to use a shipping service, but likely the flowers were in a bad condition to begin with. This time I thought it best to "buy local" and eliminate some variables. Doing an online search I found Westwood Floral (Johnstown, PA) and selected an arrangement on their site; wrote a brief birthday message to be included; paid; and then crossed my fingers. In a week my Aunt sent a picture of the delivered arrangement and words about how impressed my Grandmother and all were by the fullness, freshness, variety and colors of the arrangement. The family, for many years, raised and sold plants and flowers from their greenhouses, so to "wow" them deserves high marks.

Hubby is the boss where he works, but scheduled meetings with all of the out of town big wigs were slated for last week. We got an emergency call which needed our time and attention back home, so we made a deal, he said that he would go with me, if we drove round trip in one day. I agreed, as I really did not want to make this particular trip alone and said I will drive there ( four hours ) if you will drive home. In agreement again, while I drove in, using my car, he slept most of the way. We paid our respects to my brother and his family and were on our way to get a quick bite to eat, when hubby said, how long has that oil life low been reading? I said oh, it's been doing that, but I keep resetting it... He literally turned every color of the rainbow and said we have to find a mechanic now! Okay. Of course when you need a garage you will not find one and he was fuming ( calm down honey, it's okay, I hit the reset button ), when he pulled into the parking lot of this Ace Hardware, yay, maybe they can make him happy! He bought a bunch of motor oil and kept pouring it in, while I am saying, be careful not to get that on your white shirt or tie, lol, if looks could kill.. I thought that it was so nice of that boy who was going into work to walk clear across the parking lot and take that bag of empty oil bottles out of our hands, because It was NOT going in my car!
